I talk about reading a LOT. It’s a hobby of mine but it’s also an important tool I use in my Spiritual growth. Because I read a lot and talk about it a lot, I get a ton of questions about reading and the best ways to fit it into a busy homemaker’s schedule. I get it. It can be really hard to fit any reading time into your already too busy and too full schedule. But I want to encourage you to try and find a few minutes in your week to invest in a good book. Reading is so life giving and encouraging to me that I sorely miss it when I get out of the habit. Listen to the Podcast:Thanks for listening in today! I got a comment from a friend who was feeling overwhelmed and like her work in the home is just plain pointless sometimes. And my heart went out to her! Last week I addressed the first part of her question: When Your Work Just Doesn’t Feel Worthwhile. In that episode I addressed the heart aspect of it. And today, I want to address the practical parts of her question. Where can you turn to for help when life seems overwhelming? Listen to the Podcast:Thanks for listening in today! Last week I shared an episode giving some tips for dealing with busy hectic seasons and it's been a really popular one! I just posted it last week and I've already heard from several people who have listened to the episode multiple times. And I think I know the reason - we are all busy! We are all feeling stressed and overwhelmed a bit and it's so encouraging to be reminded of where we can turn when the days get busy and hard. But here's another aspect of this conversation: what do you do when your work you do every single day, doesn't feel worthwhile? In today's episode we are going to dive into that discussion on what our ultimate purpose is and where we can turn when that discouragement sinks in. For the past month we've been renovating our house getting it ready to sell and we got really really sick. It hasn't been the worst month but we have been in a busy season the last 3-4 weeks. Because of this, I've been getting a ton of questions about how we function in busy seasons. So whether you are in a season of sickness, renovating and selling your house, dealing with your husband on deployment, have a newborn, are dealing with grief or a myriad of other things that keep us busy...this episode will be sharing about how to handle those busy seasons and a few things we've learned along the way! Listen to the Podcast:Thanks for listening in today!
