Can Faithful Men Give Unfaithful Advice?

Alistair Begg has been in a bit of hot water lately over his advice to a grandmother. When asked if he thought she should attend the wedding of her transgender grandchild he said yes. This story caught fire online, first on Twitter and then the rest of the interent. Most, like myself, waiting until he said something in responds to the backlash. SPECIAL EPISODE: Isaiah Saldivar: The Making Of A Minister

Isaiah Saldivar is one of the most well-known "demon slayers". Known for his sermons on repentance and holiness, as well more recently his teachings on casting out demons from believers. In this video essay, I aim to lay out an understandable timeline of how Isaiah Saldivar began his ministry, learned how to preach, and how he became so well known in the deliverance ministry world. Not using my own words, but his. This isn't a hit piece, which will disappoint some, but rather a video in which I present the facts I've discovered while researching Isaiah's life. My goal is to present that information and let the viewer decide. To assist in this endeavor I have provided a link to a playlist full videos I used to research and compile this video. Jonathan David

The guy was trying to do a summary sermon of a bunch of issues to make a handful of arguments broadly pre election because there were multiple issues on the ballot. His proof texts did an excellent job displaying that. Yes he could have done a 3 hour series on each issue in depth but then congregants would have missed out in what to believe on certain important issues for the vote. I think this sermon was excellent and yes maybe he should expand on doing more thorough apologetics in the future on each of these issues (transgenderism, environmentalism, homosexuality) but he did a great job summarizing and I think using this sermon to do a discernment ministry on is just nitpicking which seems like a common thing to do now days when any pastor dares to broach the issue of what the Bible says we should think on politics.
