Description

We are the official podcast of IndianaHQ. Our mission and goal is simple: we want to bring in-depth analysis and coverage for Indiana University sports to as many fans as possible across a multitude of modern platforms. "The Hoosier Sound" was founded in 2017 by Noah Freeman and Matt Lukens who had a passion for all IU sports. The guys wanted to give listeners analysis of programs such as Indiana basketball, Indiana football, Indiana soccer, Indiana women's basketball, Indiana baseball, Indiana swim and dive, and more. We also do a daily IU sports news roundup called "Hoosier Sound-Off."

Indiana Basketball is back! At least for one game. The Hoosiers took on No. 11 Ohio State in a rocking Assembly Hall this past Saturday and came away with a much needed victory. Fans were on the brink of losing hope for this season after what happened last year, but for now, everything is at ease as this past weekend is more evidence of how hard it is to win on the road in the Big Ten, no matter the matchup. Speaking of road play, the Hoosiers have to keep their momentum up by traveling to New Brunswick to face Rutgers this Wednesday. The guys break down the big victory, as well as their two road games coming up this week against Rutgers and Nebraska.Check us out and follow us on social media!WEBSITE: https://www.indianahq.com/ • Twitter: https://twitter.com/TheHoosierSound • Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/thehoosiersound/ • iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/id1282226985?mt=2&ls=1 • Google Podcasts: https://www.google.com/podcasts?feed=aHR0cDovL3d3dy5zcHJlYWtlci5jb20vc2hvdy8yNjc3NTkyL2VwaXNvZGVzL2ZlZWQ • Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/0lk71fzLgbLP76iPNA14cP • SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/user-429075463-810819009 • iHeartRadio: https://www.iheart.com/podcast/the-hoosier-sound-28550408/?cmp=web_share • TuneIn Radio: http://tun.in/pi2cE • Stitcher: https://www.stitcher.com/podcast/the-hoosier-sound

It's been a rough week for the two major sports programs for the Hoosiers. The football team was denied their 9th win on the season against Tennessee and is now in a 5-bowl game losing streak. The guys recap the game against the Volunteers and put it into perspective on the season overall. Then, the men's basketball team traveled to College Park to face No. 15 Maryland and were blown out of the building. It was a disappointing loss to say the least, and the guys break down the bad loss and if the Hoosiers can get out of yet another offensive rut. Will we see another year of a losing-streak or can Archie Miller and his staff turn things around and get the Hoosiers back to playing well?Check us out and follow us on social media!WEBSITE: https://www.indianahq.com/ • Twitter: https://twitter.com/TheHoosierSound • Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/thehoosiersound/ • iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/id1282226985?mt=2&ls=1 • Google Podcasts: https://www.google.com/podcasts?feed=aHR0cDovL3d3dy5zcHJlYWtlci5jb20vc2hvdy8yNjc3NTkyL2VwaXNvZGVzL2ZlZWQ • Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/0lk71fzLgbLP76iPNA14cP • SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/user-429075463-810819009 • iHeartRadio: https://www.iheart.com/podcast/the-hoosier-sound-28550408/?cmp=web_share • TuneIn Radio: http://tun.in/pi2cE • Stitcher: https://www.stitcher.com/podcast/the-hoosier-sound

It's finally Bowl Week! The football Hoosiers will take on the Tennessee Volunteers this week in the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl in Jacksonville, Florida on Thursday. The guys preview the first January bowl game in a long time and what the Hoosiers need to do to come away with a victory and their first bowl win since 1991. After discussion on the last football game of the 2019 football season for the Hoosiers, the guys switch over to a more somber topic as of recent, Indiana basketball. The Hoosiers could not close out their game against Arkansas at home, losing 71-64 and falling to 11-2 on the season to close out the non-conference schedule. Where should the blame go for this loss? Is this a sign of more to come, or can this team start to find their way as the competition gets harder and harder? Lots of discussion as basketball gets into Big Ten season and the New Year hits.Check us out and follow us on social media!WEBSITE: https://www.indianahq.com/ • Twitter: https://twitter.com/TheHoosierSound • Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/thehoosiersound/ • iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/id1282226985?mt=2&ls=1 • Google Podcasts: https://www.google.com/podcasts?feed=aHR0cDovL3d3dy5zcHJlYWtlci5jb20vc2hvdy8yNjc3NTkyL2VwaXNvZGVzL2ZlZWQ • Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/0lk71fzLgbLP76iPNA14cP • SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/user-429075463-810819009 • iHeartRadio: https://www.iheart.com/podcast/the-hoosier-sound-28550408/?cmp=web_share • TuneIn Radio: http://tun.in/pi2cE • Stitcher: https://www.stitcher.com/podcast/the-hoosier-sound

As both Hoosier basketball programs are 10-1 going into the third week of December, there is a lot to talk about. The men's program is coming off of a loss, followed by two questionable wins. Is this something fans should panic about, or wait to see how the team might respond? It's hard not to think of losing 11 of 12 games last year and think the worst, but should fans be judging this current team compared to last year's team? How should fans judge this team, who still have 10 wins in their first 11 games, with the one loss going to Wisconsin on the road? The guys discuss the most recent game against Nebraska and how it has compared to the last three games, and then compared to last year and if fans should panic or wait and see how they respond. What do you think? Then, news broke that Fred Glass is retiring and Kalen Deboer is expected to be named the next head coach at Fresno State.Check us out and follow us on social media!WEBSITE: https://www.indianahq.com/ • Twitter: https://twitter.com/TheHoosierSound • Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/thehoosiersound/ • iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/id1282226985?mt=2&ls=1 • Google Podcasts: https://www.google.com/podcasts?feed=aHR0cDovL3d3dy5zcHJlYWtlci5jb20vc2hvdy8yNjc3NTkyL2VwaXNvZGVzL2ZlZWQ • Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/0lk71fzLgbLP76iPNA14cP • SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/user-429075463-810819009 • iHeartRadio: https://www.iheart.com/podcast/the-hoosier-sound-28550408/?cmp=web_share • TuneIn Radio: http://tun.in/pi2cE • Stitcher: https://www.stitcher.com/podcast/the-hoosier-sound

The team reached eight (8) victories for the eighth time in program history and now have a chance to tie their all-time most victories with a bowl game victory.
