The Horizon Prep Lioncast is a production of the Horizon Prep Parent Teacher Fellowship, to INCLUDE, INFORM, and INSPIRE the Horizon Prep parents and teachers. Each week we talk about what's going on at the HP campus and then talk with one of the teachers or staff and learn about them and their role at the school.

074: Building An Investor's Mindset: The Horizon Prep Investing Club

Mark and Jeff Coons are brothers with kids who are students at Horizon Prep. This year the School of Rhetoric has started an Investment Club with $100,000 of real money donated to the school for this purpose. That seed money will be invested by the members of the Investment Club. Mark and Jeff will offer guidance, but the decisions will be made by the students. Half of the profits generated will go back into the fund. The other half will go toward needs of the school, with the students having a voice toward where it is spent.
