Join Erik and Tage this week as they are joined by Katie and Becca as they discuss the mistakes they see first time Disney guests making and what advice they would give to someone going to the parks for the first time, the pieces of merch or Disney Objects that they would rescue from a fire, the Disney movies they think should get more love in the parks, and how they define a Dinsey Adult and how they feel about the term. Support the podcast by going to https://www.thehubcrawl.com/support. Question 1: Through my various outlets, I get a lot of first-time guests asking me for help when planning a theme park vacation. What is the biggest mistake you see first-time Disney Parks visitors make, and what advice do you always give a first-timer? Question 2: What piece of park merch or object do you treat like a talisman — something you’d rescue first from a burning building? Question 3: What Disney movie do you wish got more love inside the Disney parks and maybe even an attraction for it? Question 4: Over on DLWeekly, we have been reading the book Disney Adults by AJ Wolfe for our book club. What is your definition of a Disney Adult, and do you like the term? Bonus Question: We have some new friends here, so let's get to know each other. At the end of the episode. When it comes to Disney Parks, are you a traveler (like to do excursions and activities) or a vacationer (hang out and chill) or both?
First Marie has a new drink for us, and then Rob, Olivia and Marie break down Ep 89 of The Hub Crawl. After that, we go back in time to Ep 5 to see who said what in 2022, and finish up the show with a few Disney Inspired MadLibs.
Join Erik and Tage this week as they are joined by Ryan and Scott as they discuss the things they think Universal or Disney are doing the best, the perfect Disney meal they would make from drinks, appetizers, sides, main dishes, and desserts found through the parks, how they would retheme a land without making major changes to attractions, and their favorite little broken things in the parks. Support the podcast by going to https://www.thehubcrawl.com/support. Question 1: Having recently visited Universal Studios new theme park Epic Universe - I want to know what to you think that Universal is doing better than Disney and what is Disney doing better than Universal? Question 2: You get to make the “perfect Disney meal”. It can feature items from any resort or resort hotel regardless of the impracticality of obtaining different parts from locations around the world. Please choose: A cocktail (mocktail) or specialty drink, Appetizer, Main, 1-2 sides, Dessert, and a snack for the road Question 3: If you could redo the theming for any land in a Disney park without making any major changes to attractions, what land would you choose and what would you make the new theme? Think about how the existing attractions (or food or merch locations) could be slightly modified to fit into your new theme. Question 4: What’s your favorite little broken thing in the parks — a ride effect that never quite works, a goofy animatronic, or a design flaw you secretly love? Bonus Question: If you were in charge of a Disney resort or cruise line, would you be more of a Walt or a Roy as a leader? Who would you choose to be your Walt/Roy?
First, Tage takes over the four questions and tells us why we are all wrong. Just kidding, we all give our opinions on the answers and share our answers. Then we get a new drink from Marie, and it is super cute. Finally, we have our recurring segments Heard it at the Hub, and One More Thing!
Join Erik and Ryan this week as they are joined by Erin and Katie as they discuss the lost attractions they would bring back and the current E ticket attractions they would remove to make room for them, how they would revamp Oogie Boogie Bash to make it fresh, new and exciting, what they would do with Walt if they could spend an hour with him in Disneyland, and the non-IP lands based on a myth/legend they think Disney should build. Support the podcast by going to https://www.thehubcrawl.com/support. Question 1: You have the power to bring back any lost attraction. To do so, you must first make a sacrifice of a current E Ticket. Which comes back to life and which goes to the attraction museum in the sky? Question 2: Disneyland introduced Oogie Boogie Bash in 2019, and since it's debut, not much about it has changed aside rotating a villain treat trail here and there. If you were in charge of revamping Disneyland's Halloween party, what would you do to make it fresh and new and exciting? Question 3: If you were given one hour to spend at Disneyland with the man Walt Disney himself, what would you eat/ride/do? Question 4: Epic Universe just made a sweet non-IP land based on myth/legend. What is a non-IP myth, legend, fairytale, etc. that Disney should build out a land based on? What would be there? Bonus Question: What is a pre-trip ritual that you have?
Marie, Olivia, and Rob talk about the answers from last week's show, and we give our own answers as well. Then we have "Heard it at the Hub" followed by "One More Thing"

What is a ride you’d add to DCA that would be enjoyable for the whole family? Let’s imagine that space isn’t an issue for the sake of this question. Question 2: Best unsung Marvel or Star Wars tie-in in the parks (e.g., music, background lore, clever props)? Tell the story behind it. Question 3: What Disney parks treat have you always wondered about but never tried? Why do you think that is? Join Erik and Tage this week as they are joined by Marie and Kate as they discuss if they would let someone else plan their Disney vacation from hotel to daily itinerary, what they think should be the next thing added or changed at Disneyland, why they believe fans aren’t going to see original Disney movies in theaters, and what moment they would time travel to in Disney Park history. Support the podcast by going to https://www.thehubcrawl.com/support. Question 1: Would you trust someone else to plan your entire Disney vacation “” from hotel to daily itinerary “” without giving you any details until right before you leave? Why or why not? Question 2: What’s the next thing Disney should add or change at Disneyland? Question 3: Every Disney fan I know says that they want more original stories when it comes to Disney and Pixar films rather than relying on sequels and remakes, but it seems that there is a trend of original films doing more poorly at the box office than sequels and remakes (eg Elio vs Lilo & Stitch or Inside Out 2). What do you think is keeping people out of the theater for original stories and if you were put in charge of solving this problem, what would your recommendations be? Question 4: If you could time-travel to any moment in Disney Park history, where would you go and why? Bonus Question: What keeps you from going to the parks more frequently AND what could the company do to help bridge that gap?
Join Erik and Tage this week as they are joined by Dan and JR as they discuss their thoughts seeing the Walt Disney animatronic and the reactions of other fans, what Disney personality they would invite, living or dead, to The Hub Crawl couch and what they would ask them, wether adding Marvel and Star Wars enhances or dilutes Disney, and what Disney animated movie they feel is the hardest to sit through. How are the fans reacting and do you think it’s reasonable? Question 2: You get to invite one Disney personality—Imagineer, animator, or executive—living or dead-to sit on The Hub Crawl couch. Who is it, and what three questions must you ask them? (Is three questions too many?) Question 3: As somebody who grew up in the 80s, Disney had what, at least to me, felt like a very defined image that it presented in its works and parks. Colors were vibrant, good and evil were often pretty straight forward, and there was a certain degree of what I would consider “innocent wonder”. in 2009, Disney acquired Marvel. Not to be outdone, they acquired Star Wars in 2012. Both of those properties feel like a departure from their 20th century offerings. Do you feel that the addition of Marvel and Star Wars to the Disney catalog enhances or dilutes what Disney used to be? Question 4: What Disney animated movie do you think is the hardest to sit through? Bonus Question: What perk(s) would you like to see Disney add for MagicKey holders. If you don’t currently have a Key, what (aside from lowering the price) could Disney change about the current program that would entice you to get one?
