đ¨ Dusted Off This Gem from the Huffing Spirit Vault! đ¨ No expiration date on the potency of âthisâ episode, folks! Dive into the heart of what makes us tick at our coreâ âenergyâ. But what does that even mean? Is it the fuel of the universe, your chi, your prana, or the life force that animates existence? Maybe all of the above. In this episode, Alex Hindley and Natalie Dick take us on a journey through the spiritual and holistic layers of energy: how it flows, how it heals, and what happens when itâs blocked or suppressed. Did you know that imbalances in your energy can lead to illness or disconnection, individually and collectively? Theyâll help you understand the sneaky ways we suppress energy, how it manifests, andâmost importantlyâhow we can open the floodgates to positive, healing energy in our lives. If youâre ready to unlock a whole new level of awareness, health, and vitality, this is your episode. Tune in, vibe high, and letâs get energized together! đ§ Find the Huffing Spirit Podcast wherever you stream your favorites! Where to connect: www.huffingspirit.com @huffingspiritpodcast Homework: Find an outlet to get this stuck energy out. There are many examples given in this episode. But it might be physical through dance, shaking, hitting something soft. Perhaps mentally itâs journaling or shouting into a pillow. Emotionally it could be writing or allowing yourself to feel into an emotion that seems difficult to be with. See what resonates and take 5 minutes a day to let that energy out.
Feeling like youâre stuck in an endless loop of self-improvement? Youâre not alone. AND. We got you got you boo! Weâve all been sold the idea that *something* out there will finally âfixâ usâthat if we just find the right job, partner, or practice, weâll be happy. But what if constantly trying to fix ourselves is actually part of the problem? In this episode of The Huffing Spirit Podcast, Alex Hindley and Natalie Dick dive into the âfixing fallacyâ and the surprising ways it shapes our lives. Together, they explore the tension between self-acceptance and self-improvement, and how our attachment to outcomes can keep us from real growth. They even bring in some timeless wisdom from Taoism to keep things grounded. Per usual, we cover a lot of ground in this episode. But this conversation is a breath of fresh air for anyone feeling overwhelmed by the self-help grind. Let this episode remind you of the power of embracing your truest selfâno âfixingâ required. Tune in and rediscover the joy of just being you!  Homework: Take the thing that is tripping you up (relationship, money, job/lack of job, child) and causing discomfort. Sit with that thing in your mind's eyes. âSay I fully accept you in all that you are in this moment. And Iâm not trying to fix you.â Pay attention to your body when you say âI accept you.â Pay attention to where you feel this in your body and what you feel. Witness yourself through the process of acceptance. AND if youâre having too much resistance. â I accept the fact that I canât accept this.â  Where to connect: @HuffingSpiritPodcast www.huffingspirit.com  Â

Yo People! It is a hard time to human right now. Rest assured. You are not alone! Natalie and Alex are back from the dark side of the moon. Also for our Advanced Psychosomatic Character Therapy friends playing along at home. We talk about Enantiodromia! YAH!   Homework: Our bodies are amazing, and showcase areas which are needing our attention, but may have been put off to the side in the busyness of life. For this episode, homework will be a body scan practice which creates space for us to connect on a deeper level with our bodies. 1. Take moments throughout the day to tune into your body, and identify areas of tension, discomfort etc. 2. Bring awareness to these part/s, and spend as much time, as you can throughout your day. This can be while youâre boiling the kettle, laying in bed, waiting for your food to heat up etc. (Can range from a few seconds to 90 seconds.) 3. Next begin communicating and connecting with the discomfort, tension etc. and breathing while relaxing into it. 4. The tension may even have multiple spots that are linked to other areas. Such as hips and legs. Engage with the discomfort by bringing awareness through lightly moving or adopting positions that allow you to interact with the tension. Example: if squatting is challenging for you, try incorporating a gentle squatting movement into your daily routine, paying attention to your body's response. What areas have you been protecting? Open your ear holes people! We got the ever-so-sweet and talented sound healer Claire Bigley in the proverbial house. We had so much fun recording this episode. And Claire is so special and is a gifted practitioner at helping people unfold in their healing process. Unlike most people in the healing space, Claireâs work is beyond words. She uses sound and frequency to go beyond words and connect with the energy that needs to come forth. Whether youâre a practitioner or a student, this episode has so many gems! The importance of grounding/emptying, setting intention, and not trying to fix people. Natalie provides us with a look at the importance of grounding and emptying before working with clients. And Alex keeps up his trademark off-the-wall questions. Homework: As weâve done before, take 5 minutes and do a body scan. Sit in a comfortable space. âOur wounds are the radar for othersâ Wounds. We all got them to some degree. But as painful as it can be to begin that healing journey, it can also be where the gold lies. Our wounds can educate us and make us more empathic to what others are going through. This episode we get into wounds being an unfinished experience within your body or your overall being. If weâre unable to identify and heal our wounds, weâre going to be coming from a state of reactivity instead of empathy in our everyday interactions. We might not be aware of how much our wounding is informing our relationships and our life. Spoiler Alert: You might be the âbad guyâ in some of your stories. Join Natalie and Alex as they get into the importance of courage, safety, patience (divine timing), and the compassion that is needed on our nonlinear healing journeys. Donât worry, as serious as the topic is, in typical Huffing Spirit fashion, we still have some fun and make some jokes along the way. Homework: Imagine yourself as almost a therapist or someone you view as spacious and can listen from a place of non-reactivity. Visualize and identify a part of you that is stopping you in some way. Put 5 minutes on the timer. Sit quietly and start a compassionate inner dialogue with that aspect of yourself as that therapist or guide. Notice what comes up. What was revealed in this exchange? What does Surrender look like? What does it feel like in the body? How is the surrendering process for you? For some, it can be very artful. For most of us, it can be less tasteful and more a spiritual bludgeoning. Alex and Natalie are going to unpack this topic, as itâs definitely a component in healing. (Why would anyone want to do that?) We get into why we might have trouble surrendering and how we can slowly start accepting and allowing what is within our lives. And Alex pats himself on the back every time he thinks he says something smart. Meanwhile, Natalie continues to bring her amazing perspective and experience to tease out thought-provoking questions like can we surrender if we donât accept what is? A lot of fun and a lot of gems in here. Worth the listen! HOMEWORK: Start small. Where in your life are you experiencing resistance? Accept what is. Make a mental box. Gold-plate and bedazzle the shit out of it like youâre at a little girlâs birthday party, making an offering for an imaginary friend. Put all your resistance stuff in the gold-plated box and hand it over to the Universe. Or leave the box on the Universeâs door step, ring the doorbell, and run like hell! (Itâs your box, you deliver it however you like.)
For being our shortest episode so far, we are bringing it! Weâre talking about Spiritual Materialism. Spiritual Materialism, by our definition, is the idea of reaching a certain state or level, via collecting energetic trinkets, practices, experiences that end up actually enhancing your separateness from others. Weâre talking about this, because if youâre participating in this, you may not be doing the inner work to establish the internal infrastructure work to support more of your healing, growth and development. This episode is for anyone who might get turned off by what they see or think the spiritual community is like. Or for anyone on the spiritual path and find themselves constantly âdoingâ something towards their own development. Homework: Take 5 minutes every day. Think of all the practices you do in your life. Remove them. Who are you when you take those away? Are you still spiritual without your rituals or the ways you identify yourself?
WE GOT THE INTERGALACTIC WIZARD CHRIS POWELL! How lucky are we?! Chris is spitting fire, sharing wisdom and making us laugh while we navigate a multitude of topics from embodied leadership, future of work, and how our expectations shape our reality. Donât sleep on Chris Powell! And donât sleep on this episode, because at the core of what Chris is doing professionally, it is deeply rooted in an authentic connection to Spirit and raising consciousness. We dive into systems and beliefs that donât serve us, being an intentional creator, and making magic out of the messiness of life. (Ya know, Wizard Shit!) Homework: Take 5 minutes every day, before the day starts. When relaxed, articulate to yourself and the universe, what day you want to have. This exercise will help show the magic you possess within you on a daily basis and will also provide a tethering point to bring you back in alignment throughout the day. Chris Powell is an Innovator, Collaborator, Continuous Learner - who has spent most of adult life supporting individuals and organizations elevating their awareness, experience and contributions in this 3D realm. Heâs got a big laugh and even bigger heart and is truly an amazing human being doing the work to integrate his wholeness. (And holds space for the rest of us as we come into our own.) We got the Power in this episode! Geralyn Power is a mother of 3 young girls, a homeschooler, homemaker and entrepreneur. She has become known for navigating deep, challenging life transitions that require faith, devotion and patience. She teaches on the alchemy of our dharmic life path, the life/death/rebirth process, Priestess work, seasonal living, and feminine leadership. Weâre honored to sit and witness Gerayln talk about her life experience as a mother, a priestess, entrepreneur, and a steward for women to explore what and who they are in todayâs world. We discuss: the necessity and dynamic of dark nights of the soul, the power from the feminine aspects of surrendering, supporting, trust, and we get into the rewilding process of coming home to ourselves and nature. Make sure you listen for Geraylnâs wisdom about the dangers of resisting the surrendering process. Gerâs Suggested Homework: Warning. You may get a little uncomfortable. Thatâs ok, allow for a few moments for that. Weâre inviting you to go down and into yourself. Sit and allow yourself to go down and into your body. As down as you can go. Perhaps you need to use your imagination. Eventually, with practice, the body will tell you the medicine it needs to help you heal. It will be different for everyone. Is Middle ground a place or is it an idea? Middle ground is real-estate that is ever-diminishing and yet, is in high demand and in more need than ever before. The world is more polarized than ever. Middle ground is the space that healers, guides and therapists are all striving for. It is the place where one feels safe enough to unfold and truly start their healing journey. Without that connection and trust, the âusâ and âthemâness of separation continues that cycle. Weâre all being called to be able to be bridge builders. If we were all on separate islands, we will never be able to communicate with each other. We need to re-learn how to listen without taking things personally and trying to acknowledge the degree of truth there. We wonât get anywhere with anyone if weâre not willing to meet them where they are! Done correctly, middle ground can become that safe space where we all can connect and make a real difference in our growth and interactions. Done poorly, it can only produce more separation and division. Join Alex Hindley and Natalie Dick as we unpack this charged topic, some of the challenges, some benefits and the importance of heart-centered curiosity. EXCLUSIVE LIMITED TIME OFFER: TIMESHARES FOR MIDDLE GROUND. Listen to the episode to find out more details on how you too can own space in Middle Ground. Promo Code: Youknowthisisajokeright? There's nothing to buy here. But there is everything to gain from introducing more compassion and curiosity to our everyday interactions. Fun Fact: Alex comes off like a smug A-Hole for not having a social media account. Since recording he is now the proud (and bumbling) owner of an Instagram account. (PartyDragonDojo). Homework for Middle Ground: Interal: Take 5 minutes. Think about something that elicits a negative charge/reaction within you. Understand where youâre feeling this within your body. As you feel that charge in your body. With curiosity, lean in, breathe through that reaction and allow yourself to be on the other side of that charge. How might that look or feel if you were different? External: When interacting with someone who causes that charge within you. Donât react. Just lean in with curiosity (not from a place of already knowing.) Ask more questions. Try to understand why they feel that way or see it the way they do.
