Description

This is a podcast that is dedicated to one frequency on the ham radio band, 7200 kHz. Of course, there are other frequencies out there, but this one is pretty crazy. There are all sorts of crazy people on there, as well as some unlicensed amateurs being on that frequency as well. Most of these recordings are recorded with my Tecsun PL880 or when listening on a webSDR like NA5B. If you like this stuff, then this is for you. The main antagonist you will most likely hear on this episode is Oris (N4STG), Because he is on there quite a lot, but you may hear other people as well.

Thanks for listening to another addition. And boy, don't I have a recording to show today! This was recorded last night. It was a much packed frequency that night, with lots of interesting talk, but there was also some jamming too. From all sorts of digital modes, including CW Morse code, and VARAC. Some of those guys were funny too. But you also had one person complaining about 7200 and how it is when he could've just talked somewhere else if he didn't like it.
Hi everyone! This is the newest episode of the year! In this episode you'll hear a recording that was recorded on April 3 of last year when I was listening to 7200. It was interesting and fun as always. Firstly there was an SSTV transmission, which you can clearly hear in the recording. There's also some QRM Sounds too. Oris and another guy were reminiscing about listening to Shortwave. They also talk about listening to 11 m CB. Other things that happen in the recording are funny banter, people playing music, and teasing. More people come to join the conversation.
This is the 15th episode of the insanity that is 7200 kHz. This audio recording is from Sunday, September 8, when I was listening on this frequency. It was a really crowded band, with a lot of arguing, and QRMing, it was quite entertaining. Also, the arguments arranged from the first and second amendment/politics, and other topics. There were some guys that were ready to fight. There was one time where somebody called another person steak froggy, which was funny. Enjoy this episode of random chatter and craziness.
Thanks for listening to this new episode! This is a recording from Thursday night, November 21. This features Oris (N4SDG), fighting with another individual. He wanted Oris to leave the frequency, he wanted it very quiet. This argument went on for quite a long time. After the argument was done with, there was some random conversation, and some QRMing. Enjoy this one!
Welcome to a new addition of the podcast! In this episode, you will hear a recording from October 3 of this year. On that night there was a group of ham radio operators throwing interesting conversations, talking about aliens, paranormal stuff, scary movies, and a bunch of Halloween topics. People would talk about the scary movies that they would watch. There was also some random stuff going on as usual. Recording was recorded with http://na5b.com:8901/.Thanks for listening, stay tuned for more!
Welcome to the 12th episode of this podcast! This episode you'll hear a recording I recorded this morning. Some times during the day, especially in the mornings, 7200 isn't always active. but that didn't mean anything, there are some days where there are certain people on there. But since it's the day after the election, there was quite a few people there this morning. I tuned in at about 8:30 this morning, and noticed some people who were on there. There were mixed feelings on the new elected president Trump, and some usual antics here and there. A lot of folks seem to be happy with the results. Eventually, the frequency got quiet for a little while, then picked back up. There was a little bit of QRMing as well. Enjoy! The Insanity That Is 7200 kHz is back! This podcast has been on a long hiatus, but I have moved the podcast from Pinecast to Spotify for podcasters. Pinecast free users only get 10 episodes, so moving it was for the best. Now that this podcast is up and running again, I'll put more recent recordings and recording from long ago from 7200 KhZ. This recording was a heated argument between Jeff and another ham. The argument escalates, with accusations being thrown back and forth regarding violations of the Fine Business Radio Operator (FBO) rules. The operators argue over who is breaking the rules, with Jeff's opponents claiming that he is violating the rules by taking over the frequency while the others argue that they are justified in taking it because he is not a true FBO member. In the background, you'll hear jamming and music being played. Enjoy!
Welcome to yet another episode. This was recorded on Saturday, February 3. I wasn't able to get all of this at home in Ohio so I had to use a webSDR like Na5B out of Washington DC. This episode was interesting, from random conversations, someone was playing some music, but it was pretty weak, and there was talk of Donald Trump and someone was playing a snippet of one of his speeches. Later on someone was talking about how The FCC dropped Morse code requirements for the ham radio license, and some shared their stories. Oris joined the conversation later on in the recording. This one isn't as crazy as some other recordings, but is still worth listening to. If you enjoyed listening, then subscribe and read a review if you have any criticism or if you like what you hear.
Thanks for listening to this new episode. In this new episode, you will hear a recording from October 29 of last year. Around this time of the year it was almost Halloween, and there was a lot of pirate radio activity that happens around that time. On this frequency specifically, there was a music jammer who was Playing nothing but music throughout the night. The only time you could hear anybody talking was people giving their requests to songs. Most of what they were playing was 70s rock. I wanted to record this with my own radio, but I couldn't pick it up in Columbus Ohio, so I had to use the Na5B webSDR from Washington DC to get it. Do you enjoy this episode and this podcast? Then follow for more episodes and give the podcast a review.
This is my eighth episode. In this new episode, you will hear a recording from May 27, 2023. It was a crowded frequency that night, a lot of music playing and a lot of people talking. A lot of the music sounded like circus music. Someone was grunting, and someone else was saying my my my a bunch of times. Also, Oris joined the conversation later on in the recording. Then, Dave was trying to sell Oris something but cap on giving it away. Oris kept on telling him that he didn't want what he was going to give him. He kept telling Dave to shut up, but he still insisted. He then repeated, "shut up Dave". Overall, this recording was quite entertaining, so buckle up for this one. If you enjoyed listening to this, consider subscribing, and write your feedback if you have any. This podcast is powered by Pinecast.
Thanks for listening to the seventh episode. In this episode, our main star of the show Oris (N4STG) was arguing with someone named Jerry from Tennessee. He kept on saying "hello, QRM Jerry". It was a fight between an unlicensed ham. I ain't making this stuff up, this is comedy gold. This was recorded October 26, 2023, 4 PM EST. Recorded with the NA5B WebbSDR in Washington DC. If you enjoy this kind of thing, be sure to subscribe to this podcast, and don't hesitate to write a review. Don't hesitate to share this if you can, it does help.
Happy new year everyone! Thanks for listening to this new episode. In this episode, you're going to hear a recording from yesterday. On 7200 kHz yesterday somebody was playing music. It started when everybody was talking, then someone was playing what sounded like relaxing music, while everybody was talking. Then, after that, a lot of people begin to leave. There were some folks who stayed while the music continued to play. When it was done, there was some random chatter going on. Also, in the beginning of the recording, someone was trying to call CQ from North Carolina, but it sounded like a recording to me because it sounded the same way every time. I recorded this with the NA5B WebSDR from Washington DC because I couldn't get that much reception of everything going on here in Columbus Ohio with my radio. Besides, I need a good external antenna for it. I hope you enjoy this new episode, please rate it and review it if you can. If you're into that kind of stuff hit the subscribe button, and if you have a shortwave receiver, toon to 7200 kHz and listen to the fun randomness.
Thank you for listening to the episode. This recording was recorded on December 19. This recording features Oris (N4SDG) and everyone talking. There was some funny conversation to start, and they were also talking about radios and different topics. Near the end of the recording, someone was transmitting Morse code. They kept on trying to call CQ. I wanted to try to record this with my own radio, but it wasn't getting a lot of the good stuff so I had to use A WebSDR NA5B. Hope you have been enjoying these episodes. Stay tuned for more!

This was recorded using the Na5B webSDR at https://na5b.com:8901. Thank you for listening!
