We examine a full reading of chapter three of Lenin's State and Revolution and dive into an empirical example of the dictatorship of the proletariat in action, as the workers seized power to form the Paris Commune of 1871. Lenin consistently quotes Marx's The Civil War in France as a source for his assessments. I define the dictatorship of the proletariat and give context to the phrase. We brush the surface of democratic centralism as a means of organizing the governing body of the working class, and establish the distinct and clear cut scientific legitimacy to socialism rather than the utopian approach.
We examine Chapter One of Revolutionary theorists Vladimir Lenin's "State And Revolution" which discusses the nature of the state apparatus; that it arises from the irreconcilability of class antagonisms and the repression of the proletariat class. In order to seize the means of production, the proletariat must overthrow the ruling bourgeoisie state (dictatorship of the bourgeoisie) and install the rule of the proletariat class (dictatorship of the proletariat) to repress the reactionary and bourgeois forces attempting to seize power once more. After the counter-revolution is suppressed, class antagonisms are no more, and therefore, society transforms from a class society to a free society, and thus, the state apparatus gradually withers away, since the repression of a certain class no longer exists, the state can no longer exist. Lenin also discusses revisionism of Marx's and Engels' work by the Mensheviks and Social Democrats.

Comments on the state and corporate world are also included.

We examine chapter two of Vladimir Lenin's "State And Revolution" which discusses the Revolutions of 1848; spontaneous bourgeois revolution. Lenin discusses the evolution of Marx's analysis of the state during the uprisings. The new state apparatus that emerges following the proletarian revolution is the proletariat organized as the ruling class. The proletariat revolution necessitates the state in order to suppress the reactionary and bourgeois counter-revolutionaries who are attempting to regain power. The doctrine of class struggle leads to the recognition for political rule of the proletariat, and therefore the substitution of bourgeois power to the organization of a new economic and political order under the rule of the exploited masses. The state power must also be used by the proletariat to guide the masses to an organizing socialist society.
