My best bud Billi G. Meskel (who's also a superfan of this show) helps me tackle the five current seasons of the hit show Prison Break. What would the announced sixth season (which coincidentally got far more detailed days after we originally recorded this!) look like? What was the direct to video filler film like (despite its lying "Final Break" title)?? Why is everyone so mixed on this Fugitive/24 type franchise??? Are these deadly assassins rejects from The Bourne Identity-Manchurian Candidate????   #JackedUpReviewShow #Podcast #PrisonBreak #TheFinalBreak #WilliamFichtner #WentworthMiller #Hulu #Streaming #DominicPurcell #LegendsOfTomorrow #DCComics #GreatEscape #BourneIdentity #JackBauer #Scofield #Chicago #TheFugitive #ManchurianCandidate #Antiheroes #Nikita #PersonOfInterest #Powertvshow #Sopranos #Yellowstone #Legendstvshow #Transporter
The trio teamed up for the first big group episode of Season 3. Why does this franchise appeal so much to each generation and which are the best films of the saga to introduce to each audience?  ##JackedUpReviewShow #Podcast #ScoobyDoo #Horror #Mystery #Comedy
Jackey, the beloved B-movie icon who played the little girl Debbie in the infamous Manos: The Hands of Fate, joins us for an amusing recasting of who would appear in a bigger-budgeted version and far creepier version of this movie. We also recast it, add different crew and get to even interview Jackey on her various other recent movie roles, her painting career and books that she’s authored. Jackey also sheds additional light on what it was light attending the movie’s premiere, her father’s community theater background (and how he was a fan of MST3k and realized one day his movie happened to be on his favorite show!), the general El Paso’s audience general reactions and how it left cinemas after a two week run. A must-listen for all cult movie fanatics!#JackedUpReviewShow #Manos #ManosTheHandsOfFate #PrimalRage #Bigfoot #Sasquatch #Recast #Redo #ThisMovie #MST3k #MysteryScienceTheater3000 #BMovieStars #FullMoon #TimThomerson #CharlesBand #DaleDabone #CassandraCruz #AndrewDivoff #TVsFrank #Wishmaster #EricRoberts #DTV #Sequels #Torgo #MichaelJNelson #JohnReynolds #TomNeyman #TheMaster #Debbie #Crime #Horror #SciFi #Movies #Discussion #Podcast #JackeyRayeNeymanJones #ChurchOfSatan #Texas #FilmedProductions #TheDevilsRain #WilliamShatner #StarTrek #RealLifeTerror #Horror #SciFi #CreatureFeature #BoggyCreek #TheMaster #Props #ElevatorMusic #FrankConniff #TraceBeaulieu #KevinMurphy #BillCorbett #JoelHodgson #JimMallon #CrowTRobot #TomServo #1966 #1960s #TexasTheaters #IndependentFilmmaking #Moviemaking #Filming #MidnightPremiere #UnintentionalLaughter #FunniestMovie #Dubbing #Crying #ElPaso #CommunityTheater #ComedyCentral #RiffTrax #VHSRecording #ManosTheReturn #Wikipedia #TheSearchForValleyLodge #TheRiseOfTorgo #Facebook #VoicesFromTheBalcony #JimMorazzini #DTVMovies #WWE #Wrestlers #MMAFighter #WebSeries #DebbieChronicles #Supernatural #Revenge #DriveInTheaters #SatanicCults #ChurchOfSatan #Plan9FromOuterSpace #Artist #Paintings #ArtDirection #FrankZappa #CurseOfBigfoot #PatrickMcGee #AlienVsPredator #Alien #Predator #Terror #Showtime #Troma #Dallas #TX #Texas #UrbanMyths #UrbanLegend #Marketing #MakingOf #Infamous #JohnReynolds #IPhone #Android #Phone #AlecBaldwin #BillyBobThornton #Recasting #JackNicholson #TheShining #SteveAndIzzy #EverythingILearnedFromMovies #NicolasCage #TheWickerMan #StevenSpielberg #CloseEncountersOfTheThirdKind #StrangerThings #Netflix #MillieBobbyBrown #ChristopherWalken #SteveBuscemi #JohnLithgow #CarrieFisher #StarWars #LindaBlair #Exorcist #TommyWiseau #TheRoom #QuentinTarantino #PulpFiction #NaturalBornKillers #TerryJones #MontyPython #TheMeaningOfLife #Sick #Scientology #BruceCampbell #EvilDead #TrashCinema #DList #Babylon5 #PatriciaTallman #ClaudiaChristian #JackDeth #Trancers #Dollman #MichaelMadsen #ReservoirDogs #TiffanyShepis #YancyButler #HardTarget #TrentReznor #NIN #NineInchNails #LinShaye #LinneaQuigley #LanceHenriksen #ScreamQueens #NightOfTheDemons #Boobs #Nudity #Shudder #FromDuskTillDawn #TomSavini #CThomasHowell #PonyBoy #CriminalMinds #Vampires #FredWilliamson #Voodoo #MusicVideo #Wishmaster  #HelenaBonhamCarter #MichelleBauer #TraciScoggins #Highlander #DeborahAnnWoll #TrueBlood #Breasts #GeorgeRomero #Models #CaraDelevingne #Valerian #LucBesson #RubyRose #Batwoman #OrangeIsTheNewBlack #TheMeg #ChrissyTeigen #LeoDiCaprio #Oscar #BarRefaeli #CharliesAngels #VictoriasSecret #StellaMaxwell #Tumblr #Reddit #StellaMaxwell #Eegah #Mitchell #WatchOutForSnakes #JoeDonBaker #RichardKiel #BoaConstrictor #JenniferLynch #LifeOfBrian #Twitter #LarryCohen #TheStuff #Species #DieHard #Hellraiser #PeterWeller #Robocop #Art #RipOff #ComicBook #KevinBacon #Legacy #Tremors #Footloose #StephenKing #DarkTower #Merlin #FutureWar #SantaClaus #VillageOfTheGiants #DeathProof #PodPeople #Squirm #GoldenAge #SantaConquersTheMartians #Indiana #Philadelphia #NewJersey #AChristmasStory #JohnSaxon #BruceLee #HorrorHound #DolphLundgren #CableTVShows #HBO

Robb and I continue our on-going conversation by switching it to how pretentious and poorly researched half the film and TV discussions end up being while making sense of the origin of this nonsense.  #TVProducers #BatmanVsSuperman #QuentinTarantino #BrianDePalma #Homages #Avengers #DC #Marvel #Controversy #MovieBuff #Geeks #Nerds #Geekdom #TwitterFeud #Noir #Netflix #B&WMovies @ModernDayMovies
Here with Robb Antequera of the film blogsite The Cinema Drunkie as he discusses how the visual style of the '80s cartoon Superboy and stylish CSI franchise glued him to the small screen every time. We later dive into what is missing in today's staged reality show settings, long-time TV dramas making controversial cast changes, Netflix taking over TV binge-watching and our various encounters with hostile fanboys and their endless band-wagons.
In this minisode, we do a brief overview on the pros and cons of both SHIN GODZILLA (2016) and GODZILLA MINUS ONE (2024).   TALKING POINTS: *James also recounts what else he saw at the recent Boston Film Festival that GODZILLA MINUS ONE was showing at *For both two new takes during this Reiwa Era, which is the superior Japanese version of the iconic monster? *Is Godzilla really a Digimon/Pokemon given his amount of evolving? *And some other fun takes on two largely agreeable creature features.
I present to you a mini-overview on these European spy action films with an all-star cast: a double feature of the ANTI-TERROR CELL movies!   Is this one of the few times we've seen Arnold Vosloo (The Mummy) play a good guy?   Why did these not get picked up to series?   Who else is in this stacked cast?   And do the thrills deliver?       MUSIC USED: "Exhilarate" by Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 License http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/   "Delay Rock" by Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 License http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/
Welcome to a themed week on Antiheroes in Fiction:   To start off, I summarize your parent's favorite '80s NBC Dramas by Steven Bochco.   Does L.A. Law hold any muster or is it sadly rather dated?   Is there anybody likeable on the Serpico-inspired drama Hill Street Blues or is it only a cesspool of crooked bastards?   Aside from their cultural influence, what other material and dramatic impact did they leave?   Find out in this fun revisit!     SONG USED "L.A. Law" theme songs by Mike Post
It was time for another actor retrospect where we take review movies on their resume with similar themes. This time we get to tackle 4 Rebecca De Mornay slashers/psycho thrillers: *The Hand That Rocks the Cradle *Table for One *Identity *Mother's Day (2010)   Which of these stands out the most?   Which of these is sadly underrated?   Plus, Oreo & I joke how we're so glad we're not at any creepy places as depicted in these movies!
We do our final discussion on the FX cable TV show THE SHIELD with a villains retrospect:   *When you're all a group of crooked cops, who's ultimately the worst of the bunch? *Which of the serial killers and gangsters were also very freaky? *And we get to play some awesome clips from the show as well as a clip from Walton Goggin's interview on The Rich Eisen Show!     OUR GUESTS INCLUDE: Josh Hansen (Action Movie Book Club) Carlo Giovannetti (The Movie Loot)      SONG USED: "Cop Killer" by Ice-T & Body Count
In this minisode, we do another special editions/director's cut versions overview and this time it's over A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 5 & 6.   For Elm Street 5, we mention scenes from the Unrated Cut which was never restored past its VHS release. For Part 6, we discuss all 4 versions: the theatrical, home video, workprint & UPN TV edit.   Do any of these change the infamy associated with these cult movie sequels or are there some gems worth seeking out here?         GUESTS: Follow Filmmaker Jack Bennett (Never Surrender Documentary): https://www.imdb.com/name/nm3429301/   Follow Ryan McGann (Off Topic Podcast): https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/front-facelock-podcast/id1544149718   Follow Parker (Dissect That Film Podcast): https://www.youtube.com/dissectthatfilm   Follow Jim Morazzini (Voices from the Balcony Blog): https://www.voicesfromthebalcony.com/about/   Follow Gabriel Jewett: https://www.instagram.com/gabriel_cage_jewett/   Follow Lucas Dickinson: https://www.facebook.com/TESDAnt   Follow Author Bill Hatfield: https://linktr.ee/billhatfield         MAIN LINKS:  LinkTree: https://linktr.ee/JURSPodcast Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/JackedUpReviewShow/ Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/2452329545040913 Twitter: https://twitter.com/JackedUpReview  Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/jacked_up_podcast/
What happens when you mash-up GROUNDHOG's DAY with SCREAM? You get mixed results at best!   What do these slasher dark comedies get right and what do they get (mostly) wrong?   Is Bear McCreary's score worth a listen on its own merit?   Is anyone noteworthy here or do they essentially all become variations of the same kind of cliche characters this genre is known for?   All that and more summaries during Slasher September!     MUSIC USED: "Club Diver" by Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 License http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/
Before The Asylum became the main production outlet for SyFy Channel Original Movies, they were coming up with even quirkier low-budget B-movie material.   I sum up the Killer Scarecrow trilogy, some surprisingly then-unknown and genre favorite actors who make cameos and the other shenanigans that entail in this film (all inbetween whacky reactions)!

Patricia Highsmith is both a terrible person and a great author who's Tom Ripley character was adapted into so many different movies and recently a Netflix mini-series.   Here, I get to do an overview of the different portrayals of the character as well as why this con artist turned murderer is so endlessly fascinating to see adapted!
We were overdue to do a look at the themes, character arcs & franchise closure in the final years of BETTER CALL SAUL.   If you want a lively summary of character evolution, twisted emotions, gritty thrills & well-formatted scripting, this is the place for you!     OUR GUESTS INCLUDE: Kevin “The Critic” Thomas Josh Hansen (Action Movie Book Club) Adam Silva Josh Mattson (Twist My Arm)
To continue the Gangster themed week, author Corey Danna, blogger Fred Andersson & HK movie fanatic Mark Shaver all enter the recording studio!   Why was Jackie Chan's STUNTMASTER the ultimate experimental PS1 videogame for both gamers and his established fanbase?   Why was Jet Li's RISE TO HONOR the ultimate send-up of both his HK and U.S. movies while mixing in some MATRIX and John Woo tropes?   Did either game have some neat button combos or did they mainly benefit from word-of-mouth recommends by fans?   OTHER SHOW NOTES: *Mark better details the fighting mechanics, motion capture graphics & what a collector's item the Jackie Chan videogame is *Mark also shares trivia on how Rise to Honor's Cantonese dialogue was overdubbed and the background on the game's setting *Mark brings up some other obscure Jackie Chan games (as well as an infamous Bruce Lee game) that showed how licenses for these Action hero icons evolved overtime in the industry and the continual mix of rap music with Kung Fu scenarios in the videogames *And Corey also brings up other cool Hong Kong trivia & other John Woo/Chou-Yun Fat stories including how he was at the premiere of The Replacement Killers!     MUSIC USED:  "Rise to Honor" OST by Raymond Wong and Michael Reagan   "Ossuary 2- Turn" by Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 License http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/   "Crowd Hammer" by Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 License http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/
I do a fun expose on the Brazillian crime epics CITY OF GOD (a rightful award-winner) and its like-it-or-hate-it sequel CITY OF MEN from five years later.   What other relevant projects have the filmmakers worked on since?   Is the TV show streaming anywhere?   And why do so many love the dark comedy & GOODFELLAS inspired narration in the original gem of a film?   Get ready to steal that night!
Teacher/Actress Gloria Jean Robertson stops by this lively interview!   TALKING POINTS *Balancing successes & disappointments  *Doing extra work *And a summary of the whole actor's audition process!
