The Jackson Robol Show

As a concerned conservative I decided that I would develop a podcast in order that my views about the state of our country was being explained adequately. I believed that the podcast could be a good tool with which to inform the public about what is going on in our country and what we can do about it. Knowing that print media is less effective now than in the past, I certainly believed that mass distribution of information was best accomplished through an electronic medium that is acceptable to the vast number of people in the country. The state of our National Politics is very tribal, and if we are going to see the other sides point of view, we need to inform people with a effective method of communications. Republicans and democrats are dug in and getting each to view the other in a fair light is a very tough sell.In addition, the sides are driven by the desire to not give the other side a win, whether or not they are right. So what passes for political discourse is what is best for my opposition point of view. Some people use podcasts to spin a story one way or the other, even if they know the other side is right on the merits. Most of the time, the issue being discussed is so misguided that neither side really cares about the subjectivity, but instead, how much political mileage can be gained by one side or the other. With all this said, I am developing this podcast in order that I can operate a space in the middle of political thought. I hope that I am right.

Doug Gould

Part II came to know Doug Gould through my association with Pete Benton who was Commander of the Honor Guard under Pres Reagan. In talking with Doug by phone for 3 hrs one time and 1.5 hours another time, I realized that he had a story to tell that I felt needed to be told.Doug spent most of his adult life in the Cyber Security field first with Bell Labs Semiconductor Laser Development then later with the bell Lbs Security Group. He has worked for various Government Agencies, served as an expert witness in Federal Crimes cases and was individually responsible for stopping a 911 style attack. To learn more about Doug's extensive biography I encourage you to watch the first in a series of podcasts that we have edited into smaller segments from a 3.5 hour interview. When you watch the entire series, you will learn that the Federal Government provided funding for the Corona Virus with 2 investments of $3.7 mill, that was money under the control of Anthony Fauci. The first payment was taken from a CDC account while the second payment was another $3.7 mill that was laundered through a NY firm and then to China. This is a very suspicious situation and more information has come forward since the original interview with Doug. This will be the subject of another podcast in due course.Doug states outright that we are in a Cyber War with the Chinese and he worries what will happen if the Dems take control of the Senate in the special election. By the time the first podcast is aired, the election will be over. But where we are with the Chinese and where we are going is detailed in this series of podcasts. There are some questions that Doug can answer and others that he is restricted from talking about due to private concerns. But I am certain that anyone who listens to this from beginning to end, will learn a great deal about international and domestic intrigue that will be very interesting and may answer some of your questions about the circumstances in our politics.

Phil Berger

With the budget impasse as well as the election results at hand, we felt that an interview with Senate Majority Leader Phil Berger was a good means to provide useful information to the public. He consented and we asked several probing questions, all of which were answered in a very forthright manner. He held nothing back in his descriptions of the issues we asked about and we found him to be very engaging. We were pleased to have the opportunity to question this very important figure in our State politics and hope that all of you, our audience will agree that we are very lucky to have this man leading our state forward. As Bob Steinburg told me afterward, Phil Berger is the real deal. .

Kim Cooley

I first met Kim Coley at a Wake Co event just before Covid. We kept in touch and I interviewed her last night. To describe her as anything but vivacious would be an understatement. She is supremely self confident and her oratory skills ar e really effective. She knows that value of signing a check on both sides and what it means to be fiscally conservative. She is running for the House against another first timer. How she will fare in the liberal Raleigh is yet to be determined. But if determination counts for anything, she should win especially if the Trump coattails are as good as 2016.

Mick Rankin

After a lifetime in the Navy, Mick retired as a Sr Officer, then he bought some property in Wilson Co, built a house and started a farm, Then he ran for County Commissioner and now for the NC House. There is no more noble objective than helping others which was his sole motivation to seek election and serve the citizens in his adopted hometown. We trust the citizens will favor Mick Rankin with their vote.

Amy Galey

The story of the political life of Amy Galey has been one of starting in elected office and working her way up the political ladder to run for the NC Senate. She is a very engaging person who seems to work hard to provide her constituents with the quality of service that they require. She is an unassuming person and one whose life story is very admirable. I am certain that those who watch this interview will be as pleased as I was to know this remarkable person.

Dan Bishop

I interviewed Congressman Dan Bishop at his home in Charlotte. I found him to be a very amiable man who answers every question both fully and completely, hold absolutely nothing back. We talk about the Mark Harris race that preceded him and the fact that the Dems are using the same tactics now in reverse. Ordinarily, these interviews take about 30 minutes, but the subject matter was so wide ranging and the Congressman was so open, that this interview took an hour.I left with total appreciation for Congressman Bishop and a genuine admiration of this man who by all accounts is attempting to provide genuine representation to his constituents..I believe that I made a friend of Dan Bishop and I look forward to following his career.

John Woodard and Dan Forrest

In interviewing Dan Forest, I encountered what I perceived as a deeply religious man and one that is very conversant on issues that affect North Carolina voters as well as National. He is a staunch supporter of President Trump compared to his opponent Gov Roy Cooper. Not only are there policy differences but political differences, such as what to do about the return of children to the classroom this fall.I asked Dan questions about how he would respond if the violence in our streets were to return. I asked him a number of questions about Covid as well as claims about all men being created equally that is being attacked by BLM as a rallying cry for their supporters. His answers draw a distinct difference for voters as they consider the candidates and vote for their choice to be the next Governor of North Carolina. We are a purple state so voter turnout is going to be critical to the outcome.

Sandy Smith

When I first met Sandy Smith, I was uncertain why she was seeking office as US Congresswoman from the 1st Congressional District. I have been involved in Republican politics for a very long time, including my own race for NC Representative for House District 1 which involved unseating an incumbent named Bill Owens who had served for a very long time. So who was this person named Sandy Smith I thought? But what I discovered is that She is a very self assured person who has succeeded in business and seems to exude a very confident demeanor. She is a quite person who speaks with confidence that is not self aggrandizement but is of a quality that others would want to emulate. She entered a primaryfield against 2 other candidates, one of whom had been Vice Chair of the NC Republican Party and defeated them handily. The district in which she has been running has been represented by a Democrat, GK Butterfield since forever. Now because of redistricting, she has an opportunity to flip that seat from blue to red. We should all offer our help in this quest.

Caroll Phelps

John interviewed Carroll Phelps who is running for County Commissioner in Washington Co. He is running for an open seat where the incumbent is not seeking reelection. He has retired from the Department of Transportation and keeps busy with the usual chores in and around his house. But he looks at the needs of the County where he has lived for practically all his life and wants to give back. He has no prior elected office experience but thinks that people who know him think of him as an honest man and that they will support his candidacy. He believes that job training is a good source of knowledge for students who are not going to college and we agree. The area that he will serve is rural and there are few jobs where young people can earn a good paycheck unless they go outside the county. From the interview we believe that this is a man who has a genuine desire to help the people in his county and we applaud his desire to help his fellow citizens have a better life.
