Why are people afraid of change, new technologies, and, right now, election hacking!? I talk with Jason Feifer about why people are always more pessimistic than they should be and that optimism and skepticism are powerful tools to set you apart from the masses and find real success. Plus, Jason shares some fun stories about wild pessimism throughout history I realized during this pandemic that most people are "smart idiots". They come across as smart but then cognitive biases kick in and they start acting like fools. Which is why I asked Jason Feifer to come on the podcast and talk about election hacking (is it a real concern?), and other stories of mass pessimism and hysteria. If you understand the pessimism bias, that's the first step in choosing yourself for success.  I write about all my podcasts! This is an important election. But forget about the personalities for a second. This is a step by step, a cocktail party guide to what all the relevant political philosophies are. Decide for yourself what you believe in, and what candidates, national, local, whatever, are most conducive to the philosophy you believe in. Also, now you armed yourself with the best cocktail party knowledge! Another Side Hustle Friday! I have an idea to buy a lot of Instagram account with millions of followers and then point it to my account so I can do affiliate deals! And then I heard about, the Co-Founder of The Snow Agency, Daniel Snow! He did exactly that! Now he owns an agency and helped one of his clients from 30 thousand dollar revenue a month to 3 million dollars revenue a month in just 5 months! I can't wait to chat with him! I always learn when Ryan Holiday, author, and the founder of The Daily Stoic, is on my podcast. His new book, "Lives of the Stoics" is now THE book on how to apply Stoicism to make your every aspect of your life better, as well as learn the history of these great philosophers and the times they've lived in. How to detect the "trillion dollars" worth of B.S. out there! People argue pretty much about everything, everyone has their own argument and there's no end to it! How do you call B.S. on it! This is an episode where I summarize a chapter in the book by Carl Sagan, The Demon-Haunted World, and the chapter is called, The Fine Art of Baloney Detection. I love your description of how America just simply tapped into our "primate" reward system better than other types of economies. It also makes me think of this passage in a different light - "For whoever has innovation, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever lacks innovation , even what he has will be taken away from him ".

This is Gold!!!! Some of my fav. points - model risk - diversification - Always think of the broadest possibility for your idea - And the big one, at least for me - Don't create for $$. Create for passion. You'll always be ahead of your competition if you love it more🤘🤘🤘🤘

So apparently if you punctuate every sentence with "good god almighty" it means what you are saying is deeply profound and insightful 🙄 Turns out John McAfee is a legitimate Cretin. I never knew 😂

Hey Robyn & James! Good to see you breaking out of your shell! Huge! Improvement in a short time! I hadn't realised until I only listened to your voice I instantly felt like you could be a cartoon voice on Adventure Time (our kids and I are re-watching the series) or Disney or anything really. Which leads me to an idea I had for you to do a voice over in a cartoon series you create on parenting. You could also spur this into a read along with the video with a children's book and that would give tons of advert clips ECT. thank you Cheers!
