Ben Meimarides comes back to the show to flaunt his Greek similarities to Giannis Antetokounmpo's and how Milwaukee evolved into a title team throughout the season.
No - LeBron isn't on the list. Neither is James Harden. Nor Nikola Jokic, the league's MVP, or Luka Doncic. THAT is how good the playoffs have been for these nine (one repeat) individuals. Thanks for listening!
35 - Examine Games 1 and 2 of the NBA Finals, Game 2 in particular. Chris Paul, Devin Booker, Deandre Ayton and Mikal Bridges brought the heat. Giannis had a playoff career-high, while Khris Middleton struggled and Jrue Holiday played like himself, though he was more inefficient than usual. No real surprise here. Milwaukee is looking for max contract level production from those they paid big. As the series now shifts to Milwaukee, I'm not sure if much will change. Thank you for listening!
Put Chris Paul wherever you want in history. It's still up in the air to me, but the journey to his first NBA Finals berth erased his name from a list of great players to never reach the league's brightest stage. His story reminds me a lot of Drew Brees. Tune in to find out why. Also, I react to the NCAA's Name, Image, Likeness turnaround. Thanks for listening!
32 - Baker Mayfield? Ryan Tannehill? Jon Gruden? Who is under the most pressure heading into the 2021 season. This offseason got me thinking, I think there a handful of teams throughout the league that are a 'sure-thing at quarterback'-away from really making some noise in their respective conferences. Added pressure? I think so. Check out my list in this episode and let me know what you think. Did I leave anyone out? Thanks for listening.
31 - In this episode, I evaluate the Sixers' options this offseason -- I think the possibilities are wider than everyone thinks. Keep Embiid? Maybe not. Just hear me out. I also go over the rest of the NBA Playoffs and sound off on Stephen A Smith's recent blasphemy. Thank you for listening!
In today's episode, I react to the Celtics dealing Kemba Walker and the 16th pick in this year's draft to the Oklahoma City Thunder, in exchange for Al Horford, Moses Brown and a second-round pick. Thanks for listening!
29 - In today's episode, I talk about spending 1% of your day on something new will widen your horizons, MLB fighting foreign substances, when they're philosophy is their main problem, and how front office analytics are ruining the ability to watch sports. Thanks for listening!
28 - In this episode, I discuss the College Football's proposal for a 12 team playoff. I think it's a step in the right direction, though I do have some concerns. I also discuss how NBA analysts should not count the Clippers and Nuggets out, being down 0-2 in their respective series. Thanks for listening!
27 - In this episode, I evaluate the second round of the NBA playoffs, then decide that the Titans will be more of a fantasy football team than a Super Bowl contender. Thanks for listening!
26 - In this episode, I dive into the Lakers' loss to the Suns last night, prematurely ending their season. Perhaps the Lakers have some dark clouds ahead of them. I then shift to reflecting on Brad Stevens' tenure as Head Coach of the Celtics. I finish with commenting on Coach K's soon retirement from coaching college basketball at Duke. Thanks for listening!
25 - We've reached the quarter-century mark. More NBA playoff talk on the way! I think the NBA Playoffs are like a series of TV Shows. I'll explain... tune in! Thanks for listening!
24 - In this episode, I dive into Kyrie Irving returning to Boston for Game 3 tonight and his comments regarding his expectations of the Celtics' crowd. Plus, I explain why the Brooks Koepka, Bryson DeChambeau rivalry is exactly what the sport needs while Tiger Woods' future is up in the air. Thanks for listening!
23 - In this episode, I give you my brief observations from the first few games of this year's NBA playoffs, while diving into what teams would benefit most from acquiring Falcons WR Julio Jones. Thanks for listening!
22 - In this episode, Bash and I dive into each NBA Playoff series to give our take. Stay tuned for Bash's LA Clippers rant, you won't want to miss it! Thank you for listening!
21 - In today's show, I hand out this year's NBA regular season awards. The league gives them out after the season, but I'm not wasting any time. I hand out my MVP award, while revealing who I deem is the league's Coach of the Year, Sixth Man, and Most Improved Player. I also hand out some creative awards like... who turned out to be the biggest underachiever? Thank you for tuning in!
20 - In today's show, I sift through the NFL's schedule release to give you three teams that got a good bounce in their schedule, as well as three teams that didn't. I also list out the five matchups I'm most excited for this upcoming season. Thank you for listening!
