Story: The Story of Arjun & His TurbanCover & Story by: Gail Nobles © 2025There was a man in the land of India, named Arjun. He was a humble farmer, wise in heart and diligent in labor. Upon his head, he wore a white turban, for it was his heritage and a sign of his faith.Arjun traveled to a distant city, where the people knew not the customs of his land. As he entered the marketplace, many beheld his turban with strange eyes. Some whispered among themselves, saying, “Look at him! He is different from us.” And others pointed and scoffed, for they did not understand the beauty of his traditions.Yet in his heart, Arjun bore no anger. He walked among them with humility, greeting each with a gentle smile. “Peace be upon you,” he said, extending his hand in friendship. But the people turned away, for they were blinded by their ignorance. As the days passed, a great drought fell upon the land, and the people found their crops withering under the sun's fierce gaze. Fear gripped their hearts, and they gathered in the marketplace, seeking a solution to their plight.Arjun, seeing their desperation, stepped forth and said, “Let us combine our efforts and bring forth our strengths. I shall share my knowledge of the earth and how to nourish it.”Some among the crowd scoffed, saying, “What can he teach us, with his strange attire and foreign ways?” But one woman, seeing the kindness in his eyes, spoke up, “He has come from far, and his wisdom may be our salvation.”Thus, the people hesitated, but in their hearts, they yearned for hope. They followed Arjun to his fields, where he showed them how to care for the soil, how to seek water from the depths, and nurture the crops with love and care.In time, the land blossomed once more, and fruit hung heavy upon the branches. The people rejoiced, and their hearts turned to Arjun. “Forgive us, friend,” they said, “for we have judged you by your appearance and not by the light of your spirit.”And Arjun, filled with compassion, replied, “Just as the sun shines upon all, regardless of their hue, let us learn to embrace one another. For it is not the outward garments that define us, but the kindness we carry within.”With the prosperity that followed, Arjun sought a new path and found a place for himself in a restaurant, where he shared his culinary skills and his joy of cooking with all who came to dine. There he worked day after day, pouring his heart into each dish with the same love and care he had shown to his fields. The people of the city grew to cherish not just his meals, but the warmth he brought to their lives.Years passed, and time graciously advanced upon Arjun. When the day of his retirement arrived, there was a great celebration in the restaurant, honoring the man who had become a beloved part of their community. The owners, who had learned from his wisdom and kindness, prepared a feast in his name. As they served him the finest dishes, they laughed and shared stories of the many moments Arjun had woven into their lives.“Today, we honor you,” they said, “for you showed us that love is the greatest ingredient of all. You fed not just our bodies, but our spirits as well.”Thus it was that the man with the turban, who once faced scorn and misunderstanding, became a treasured figure in the hearts of many. From farmer to chef, he had cultivated not only crops but relationships, sowing seeds of unity and joy wherever he went. And so it was said, “In our diversity, we find strength, and in our hearts, we can sow the seeds of love.”You’re listening to the story of Arjun and his Turban by Gail Nobles copyright 2025The Jasper Lines

Photo: Ibshopgirl - flickrUsage: Wikipedia CC BY-SA 2.0Story by: Gail NoblesI believe that Brandon Routh is the best Superman today. He has Christopher Reeve’s looks and personality for the character. Watching Superman Returns was like seeing Christopher Reeve in another millennium. When it comes to portraying Superman, Brandon Routh stands out in a way that feels almost magical. It’s as if he has harnessed the spirit of Christopher Reeve, whose portrayal of Superman in the late 1970s and 80s is often regarded as the gold standard.Routh’s performance in "Superman Returns" is a celebration of what makes Superman so endearing. Those who grew up watching Reeve would find themselves pleasantly reminded of the charm and warmth that make Superman relatable. Routh shares those same qualities—his looks, his behavior, and his ability to act out the character. When audiences first see Routh in the red and blue suit, it feels like a familiar face has returned. It’s more than just a physical resemblance; Routh captures the hopeful and heroic spirit of Superman. His portrayal reflects the balance of strength and sensitivity that are key to the character’s identity. Watching him take flight in "Superman Returns" felt like witnessing a beloved hero rise anew, evoking emotions as powerful as the man of steel himself.Brandon Routh is not just a good Superman; he may well be the best Superman today. His turn in "Superman Returns" is a heartfelt homage to Christopher Reeve, bringing the character back to life in a way that transcends time. For fans of the franchise, it truly felt like a reunion—a moment where the legacy of Superman continues, and we are all too eager to embrace it.I'm Gail Nobles. Photo: Public Domain Wikipedia Story by: Gail NoblesKamala Harris Comments On If Someone Breaks InWHAT WOULD SHE DO?I've been thinking about Vice President Kamala Harris and her recent talk with Oprah Winfrey. She’s someone in a high position, but she has a way of breaking down tough topics. One thing she said really stood out to me. it’s when she said that if anyone broke into her home, they were getting shot. That’s quite a bold statement coming from someone like her and I understood her very well.Let’s be honest: a break-in isn’t just about someone being in your space; it’s a serious threat to your safety and peace of mind. Harris voiced something many people feel—who really wants to feel unsafe in their home? That’s supposed to be our safest place, right? We all say that if someone breaks into your house, they’re most likely planning to kill you. We all know that when you lie you cheat - when you steal you kill.Think about it for a moment—Harris is touching on a basic instinct: our home is our safe space. No one should be breaking into it. So it makes sense for her to take a strong stand on protecting her home. It’s a natural response, and she’s just being honest about how far she would go to protect herself and her family. What’s interesting here is how she balances being a public figure while still showing a personal view that says, “I will protect my home." Her words remind us of our humanity, and that sometimes gets lost in political talk.In the end, Kalama Harris is just like anyone else. Don’t forget that she’s human too. She understands fear and the need to feel safe so let’s appreciate that about the vice president after all her home is her sanctuary and she’s ready to protect it.I'm Gail Nobles. Photo: Avi Ohayon / Government Press Office of IsraelUsage: Wikipedia CC BY-SA 3.0Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu gave his view of what’s at stake in the world today. He said we meet today at a crossroads of history our world is in upheaval. He talked about the band between the United States and Israel is indispensable for the times. How America and Israel must stand together because when we stand together something very simple happens: We win. They lose.” Prime Minister Benjamin also said that they call Israel a colonialist state. He asked: Don't they know that the land of Israel is where Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob prayed p, where Isaiah and Jeremiah preached, and where David and Solomon ruled? For nearly 4000 years, the land of Israel has been the homeland of the Jewish people. It's always been our home. It will always be our home. …. My friends, if you remember one thing, one thing from this speech, remember this: our enemies are your enemies, our fight is your fight, and our victory will be your victory.” Those are the words of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He made a very powerful speech to Congress on July 24, 2024. Abraham Isaac and Jacob are our forefathers. And I remember reading in the Bible that God said that he is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The Prime Minister reminded us of the Bible, and God promises are real and living. I'm Gail Nobles. Comic Book Cover: is courtesy of the Grand Comics Database™ under a Creative Commons Attribution License.Bill Boyd Western (1950-1952 Fawcett) comic books. Movie cowboy Bill Boyd is best known for playing Hopalong Cassidy. He starred as himself in the tales of Western adventure. This was way before my time. I never heard of Bill Boyd Western until now. The cover that you see is issue number one.Inside the book, it reads: Bill Boyd and the Bullion Bandits. Out of the west he came.. His skin tanned his body and his shooting hand steady! Bill Boyd Western Hero, the very symbol of law and order! Pitted against him, on the other side of the law, are four other deadliest killers in the whole west. When these two forces clash, the air is filled with an ominous cloud of death kicked up by blazing six shooters. Sounds like an interesting western tale for a comic book. Cover Art: Gail NoblesStory by: Gail NoblesIntro music: https://www.freesfx.co.ukToday's topic is Muhammad Ali. Hello! I'm Gail Nobles, and you're listening to the Jasperlines. You know that Muhammad Ali was the greatest of all time. He boxed in the ring and was a great poet. When he said he "handcuffed lightning and throwed thunder in jail", he told the truth in disguise. He was one of the greatest boxers in history and would boast that he was a bad man. Ali was also a great entertainer.I love his poem how he said he wrestled an alligator. I don't know if there is a title to the poem, but his lines of poetry are greatly remembered. Newspapers would print headlines about him in giant size letters: CLAY WINS. I'm thinking about the Detroit Free Press newspaper how they would write something about Ali’s fist being as big as his mouth back in 1964, in little print, under a photo of him. it's fun to go back and look at some of the old newspaper clippings.I miss seeing Muhammad Ali on television. Howard Cosell would interview Muhammad Ali many times.Howard Cosell would say something like: What are you going to do to George Foreman?Muhammad Ali would say something like: You’re not as dumb as you look. They would joke around with each other. I miss Howard Cosell too and his broadcasting.I'm Gail Nobles remembering Muhamnad Ali on the Jasper Lines. The Jasper Lines
Bossaball Master - Own workWikipedia CC BY-SA 4.0Are you familiar with the sport Bossaball? is a team sport that originated in Brazil. It is a ball game between two teams, combining elements of volleyball, football, and gymnastics with music into a sport. It is played on an inflatable court featuring a trampoline on each side of the net.[2] The trampolines allow the players to bounce high enough to spike the ball over the net.Now hear are the rules. A Bossaball game is played between two teams of four players. The aim is for each team to ground the ball on the opponent's field. The height of the net in between both fields can be adjusted for different levels, such as professionals, intermediates, beginners, or children. Players are not allowed to touch the net and always have to remain with at least one body part on their own side. One player (the attacker) is positioned on the trampoline, and the others are around him/her on the inflatables. A player from the serving team (the server) throws or kicks the ball into the air and attempts to hit the ball so it passes over the net on a course such that it will land in the opposing team's court (the serve). The opposing team must make a combination of no more than five contacts with the ball to return it to the other side of the net. These contacts can be exercised using any body part. Points can be made either by scoring or by an opponents error.Sounds like Bossaball can be fun. You’re listening to The Jasper Lines. I’m your host, Gail Nobles. The Jasper Lines
Speech: Gandhi - His Spiritual Message to the World, 17 October 1931.Speech by: GandhiUsage: Wikipedia Public Domainhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mahatma_GandhiGhandhi was an Indian lawyer, anti-colonial nationalist and political ethicist. Employing nonviolent resistance, he led the successful campaign for India’s independence from British rule. He inspired movements for civil rights and freedom across the world. The honorific Mahatma first applied to him in 1914 in South Africa, is now used throughout the world. Mahatma means great-souled.Mahatma can refer to any great person; in India, it is used as a title of love and respect. To me, Gandhi seemed like a holy man and very intelligent. I’m going to play one of his speeches titled, “ Mahatma Ghandi’s Spritual Message to the World”, recorded Oct. 1931. Listen.Gandhi: "There is an indefinable mysterious power that pervades everything, I feel it though I do not see it. It is this unseen power which makes itself felt and yet defies all proof, because it is so unlike all that I perceive through my senses. It transcends the senses. But it is possible to reason out the existence of God to a limited extent. Even in ordinary affairs we know that people do not know who rules or why and how He rules and yet they know that there is a power that certainly rules. ….."The Jasper Lines
Today’s discussion in question is How About a Movie for the Yellow kid? Hi, I’m Gail Nobles & you’re listening to the Jasper Lines. How about a movie for the Yellow Kid? The Yellow Kid is an American comic strip character that appeared from 1895 to 1898 in Joseph Pulitzer's New York World, and later William Randolph Hearst's New York Journal. Created and drawn by Richard F. Outcault in the comic strip Hogan's Alley (and later under other names as well), it was one of the first Sunday supplement comic strips in an American newspaper, although its graphical layout had already been thoroughly established in political and other, purely-for-entertainment cartoons. Outcault's use of word balloons in the Yellow Kid influenced the basic appearance and use of balloons in subsequent newspaper comic strips and comic books. The Yellow Kid was a bald, snaggle-toothed barefoot boy who wore an oversized yellow nightshirt and hung around in a slum alley typical of certain areas of squalor that existed in late 19th-century New York City. Hogan's Alley was filled with equally odd characters, mostly other children. With a goofy grin, the Kid habitually spoke in a ragged, peculiar slang, which was printed on his shirt, a device meant to lampoon advertising billboards. There were other versions of the Yellow Kid. He made an appearance in Marvel Universe.Of course with Marvel, he had powers. He could discharge some type of yellow energy. That was their version of Yellow Kid. There were other versions of him too.The Yellow Kid was an interesting character. How about a movie for the Yellow Kid. I think he would make a good one. Marvel’s version of the Yellow Kid is a good idea. Their version would fit into today’s cartoons. I’m Gail Nobles & you’re listening to the Jasper Lines. Hi! I’m Gail Nobles, and you’re listening to the Jasper Lines. The Bible said that the sun shall be turned into darkness in the book of Joel 2:31. It gets darker earlier in the evening. Sometimes it seems like it does more and more. And the Bible said the moon would turn into blood. It sounds like light in the sun & moon will fail. I suppose the moon will have a blood - like appearance.According to the book of Genesis, God made the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. According to Amos 5:18, the day of the Lord is darkness. And the day of the Lord seems to be getting near. The Jasper Lines

Horns: Samplefocus.comThe Ark of the Covenant also known as the Ark of the Testimony or the Ark of God, is believed to be the most sacred relic of the Israelites and described as a wooden chest, covered in pure gold, with an elaborately designed lid called the mercy seat. According to the Book of Exodus, the Ark contained the two stone tablets of the Ten Commandments. According to the New Testament Book of Hebrews, it also contained Aaron’s rod and a pot of manna.I don’t know why men still search for the Ark of the Covenant. According to the Bible, 1 Sam. 6:19, God smote the men of Bethshemesh, because they had looked into the Ark of the Lord.In 2 Sam. 6:6-7, God struck Uzzah because he reached out and took hold of the Ark because the oxen had stumbled. So if men were not allowed to touch the Ark then, why look for it now? The Ark of the Covenant could only be carried by Levites. They had to carry the Ark upon their shoulders with staves thereon. According to Chronicles 15:14-16. Touching the Ark itself would result in death of the hands of God.Where is the Ark of the Covenant now? According to Ethiopian tradition, the Ark of the Covenant is preserved in the ancient holy city of Aksum.According to Jeremiah 3:16, it said, And it shall come to pass, when ye be multiplied and increased in the land, in those days, saith the Lord, they shall say no more, The ark of the covenant of the Lord: neither shall it come to mind: neither shall they remember it; neither shall they visit it; neither shall that be done any more. You’re listening to the Jasper Lines. Do you ever think about where you would move if you had to move to another state or city? How about Charlotte NC. It looks as if there is a lot of opportunity in Charlotte NC. But according to the news, Charlotte ranked as the 11th most expensive city for the first year of homeownership, more expensive than Chicago (#12) and Dallas (#13). The cost of buying a home has increased. Moving to another city or state can be more than a thought. You would need a good paying job because of the high cost of things.Charlotte is one of the 25 largest cities in the U.S. and the biggest city in N.C. I read in the news that Columbus McKinnon has plans to move their headquarters from upstate NY To Charlotte. I also read that the ACC have plans to move their entire Headquarters to Charlotte. Chris Tucker seems to be a good guy. I’m not saying that he’s perfect, but he talks different than a lot of other comedian stars. He’s a great comedian and actor. I miss seeing him and want to see him more in movies. Tucker made his debut as a stand up performer on the HBO comedy series Def Comedy Jam, frequently appearing on the show throughout the 1990s. He appeared in the films “The Faith Element starring Bruce Willis ( that’s when I first saw Chris) and The Rush Hour Series with Jackie Chan. People talk about Chris Tucker who played as Smokey in the comedy film Friday starring Ice Cube. They talk about departure from the film. Tucker said one of the reasons why he didn’t do the second one is because of the weed. He said the movie became a phenomenon, and he didn’t want everybody smoking weed. So Tucker didn’t want to keep doing the character. Tucker sounds like a man with a lot of heart. In order to be concerned about how something could influence people, he has got to be a man that cares. Some comedians and actors only care about the cash dow, and they don’t think twice. They don’t care how they influence people and how they lead. Now, let’s talk about who influenced Chris Tucker. His comedy influences were Richard Pryor and Eddie Murphy, and Tucker was known by his teachers and high school classmates for making people laugh by doing impress of Murphy, Michael Jackson, and others. What I love most about Chris Tucker is he makes everybody laugh. No one is sad or offended. That’s what I call a great comedian. I’m Gail Nobles, and you’re listening to the Jasper Lines.
