Noah is spending time with a woman who is a place holder. They reconnect and Ali breaks off her engagement to the second guy. Noah and Ali get married and have a great life. The notebook is what was written by Ali when she was found out she had Alzheimers. They are both in a nursing home. Noah reads her the story every day to help her remember. It is a great story about Alzheimers. It's worth watching. It's a great story.

Hello Jen, my name is Cheryl and I have been living in France since 1994. I'm not sure if you will read this, but I looked up French reviews of the movie "Mignonnes" and found that most people appreciated the film's nuance. They say that it is open-ended as to the question whether sexualized clothing and dancing is a viable path to freedom for girls. I would suggest that some of the misunderstanding is cultural... That is not to say that I will go see the movie. Just standing up for my adopted culture. Not everything is translatable or exportable, I guess. More to say, but I will stop there.

We're no longer trained on household stuff. That's why more of us are a mess at doing them. That was something we used to learn from the women in our family. I think it is very cruel not only not teaching our sons to do household chores, but also not teaching our daughters. Household chores are necessary for surviving, men and women need to know that. OK, I agree we don't need to know the exact name of each tool in the kitchen. But we need the basics and something more.
