Would love to hear Henrik Palmgren of Red Ice Radio/TV on the podcast but sadly this type of content is too controversial for this podcast. Will you accept the challange Joe?

I understand a heated debate but when Guyenet constantly insults Taubes it makes it hard to listen, I shut it off after 40 minutes.

I have 5 kids. my 5th hasn't had shots. My others had most of theirs. oddly my 5th has asd. so much for being anti vaccine with him. one has nothing to do with the other.

This substance is not worth fighting about. I would argue that it would be impossible to prove it has any negative effects on productivity. There are too many confounding factors when it comes to marijuana use. For instance, when someone gets in an accident while high maybe it wasnt because they were high, maybe it would have happened either way. And hardly anyone uses weed without being willing to use other substances like alcohol or pills or hallicinigens or opioids or whatever. I bet it's rare to find someone who killed themselves and ONLY had marijuana in their systems with no other conflating variables or other substances in play. We cant make it illegal without creating criminal enterprises. it exists, it always has and always will. you cant destroy it, how can you make it illegal? you're fighting a losing battle from the beginning. I do agree it has health impacts if you use it incorrectly. I used to only know about bad product, resin, reclaim, flower, joint papers, etc., but all of that is bad for your health. I use concentrates exclusively. One small inhale in the AM and one or two in the PM and I never have issues with my IBS, with acid reflux, or stomach and appetite problems like I used to deal with in the past. Even flower was giving me cannibinoid hyperemesis because all the smoke I needed to inhale to get high and all the byproducts. I swear by butane extracted concentrates. they can get it 99.9 percent pure nowadays, literally no black residue or resin ever on your pipe, no coughing fits hardly any smoke. it's the best.

Stefan or such seemed to completely discredit the work of Gary and it was incredibly disrespectful. It is good to have someone like Gary who continuously questions the legitimacy of scientific studies. I see he has written books based on his opinion as a journalist, he has been doing his job perfectly. What shames me is the fact that a PhD refuses to consider the maaaany studies he refers to as flawed. Plenty of studies are flawed, it is important to not treat them as gospel. We need people like Gary. I would hope that he is pushing Stephanie to be more accurate in his findings. This episode taught me nothing, and I hate Joe for it. He is not a good mediator for this kind of discussion, it was complete bulls***t
