In this episode of The Jordan Syatt Mini-Podcast, I tell you about how I stopped obsessing over fitness. I talk at lengths about my travels all over the world and how obsessing over fitness nearly kept me from having the best time of my life.  I share the story of how I was so strict with intermittent fasting that I refused to try some of the most amazing hummus in The Middle East, how I taught English to underprivileged youth in Israel, how I volunteered with Holocaust survivors in Jerusalem and much much more. Why am I telling you all this?  Because after years of trial and error...I finally got to a point in which fitness doesn't take over every waking moment of my life. And I want you to achieve that, as well. I hope you enjoy this episode and, if you do, please leave a review on iTunes (huge thank you to everyone who has written one so far). I gave up alcohol in 2018 for the year and it was crazy how some friends reacted. they really took it personally even though it didnt impact them and I still went for regular nights out. I am back to drinking but I never go over a certain amount and I dont understand how people who get hungover would want to feel like that regularly 🤷🏻‍♀️ its pointless calories and a huge waste of money

I agree with your take on optimism. I read Viktor Frankyls book years ago and he said the greatest freedom we have is to choose our attitude in any situation

Kelley, we're we switched at birth? everything you've said/thought is exactly the way I feel too. PS, been on a 'diet' since 6 months old, over 40 years (the title of this episode made me turn it on immediately)

Great stuff! Very helpful discussion about breaking things down to a few big "rocks" that you can focus on and do consistently, because consistency is number one.
