The problem with populism is that the public generally gets what they want. The public generally gives no consideration to second order or even further removed impacts. The public eventually gets what it wants, good and hard.
Todays center left republican party has become an intersectional coalition of common sense, sanity, and reasonableness. Nothing to cheer about from a policy perspective. There's an urgent need to fortify red states for when the dims regain power and continue ratchetting Overton window left. There's nothing within this coalition that has the vision, or will drive effective long term policy prescriptions to meet that objective.
Shame on you guys! Leave poor Quatar Carlson alone. He can't defend himself! That Carlson grifter is too busy cashing in by selling out.
Where were these self enriching conservative talkers while Trump was endorsing every center left rino he could recruit while shutting out conservative candidates? Where were they while he was pushing to prohibit states from regulating these dystopian AI data centers and #GreenGraft carbon capture? And a lot of other failures from these talking bastards who had Trump's ear and could have persueded him on numerous issues advancing a real conservative agenda.
I could follow on with what I perceive as Elon's fiscal policy to be. A dose of fiscal sanity mixed with some some well strategized policy prescriptions could go far. I expect we'd differ on H1B visas and possibly #GreenGraft depending where he falls on these issues.
More establishmentarian republican"we just don't have enough"and"were just too weak"schtick water carrying rhetoric. Yet everytime there is a primary where a establishment puke faces a potentially good conservative challenger, the party leadership always 100% support the leftist puke. After decades of this act, one begins to think these party leaders are directed actors in a controlled opposition. While I usually defer to your analysis and respect for Occam on most issues, I am not yet in agreeance on this one. Knowing who these helpful bureaucratic people are and what they stand for, this app was loaded on the participants phones by these actors. My first and current thought is that this app is malicious in nature and placed by these miscreants desiring to maxamize damage to the administration, and that is my starting point.
