Today’s episode is the part 2 of our friendship episode. We reflect a little about our most memorable moments, understanding each other’s styles of communication, what we’ve learnt from each other, and most importantly, practising forgiveness. This is the first of our two-part series on “Maintaining A Lasting Friendship” with our two friends Idara and Lydia. In the first episode, we’re talking about how we met, how having and not having disagreements are both normal, knowing when to not say things, and accepting individual change within friendships.
.Today’s episode, we talk about the rise in Asian hate crime and why over a year later, COVID-19 misconceptions are still fuelling hate against the Asian community. We touched on Derick Jaxn’s infidelity and why people have turned their focus towards his wife’s appearance, shifting the focus from him to her. (Crazy right?) Today’s episode is a little bit about everything, again! (We hope you enjoy this episode style as much as we do) Mothers days and International Women’s day both fell on the same week, and unfortunately the body of Sarah Everard was found too. This week we talk about how a select number of men took to victim blaming during the week then remembered they loved their mummy’s on Sunday. We spoke a little bit about the similarities between Birth Control and Social control, police officers in plain clothes to deter sexual violence and lastly, why everyone on Twitter wants to “normalise” things that are both subjective and socially improper.
Today, we chatted briefly about the recent Harry and Meghan interview with Oprah, Sharon Osbourne and “I ain’t a racist”, the suspension of the AstraZeneca vaccine in Ireland and Juru had a question for us; would you be ok with your date ordering for you on the first date? We’re back again with episode 11! So far, we’re loving these discussion type episodes with multiple topics, what about you guys? Episode 11 is about an aspect of adulthood that we are entering: Parenting your parent!! From Teaching them the current social cues, conversational cues and updating them with technology. We dabbled into the saying “ nice guys finish last.” Is it true or false??? Hint** it’s not false 😉. And lastly, a topic that seems very trivial but actually fixes a lot of ruckus: Who pays for what on dates?? We hope you enjoy this one!
