This week on KENOSHA CALENDAR we're going to be giving you all the top things to do this weekend. From pub crawls to Irish dance lessons and more! So grab your friends and family, fill up that calendar with these events, and have an amazing St. Patrick's Day in Kenosha County!
This week’s highlights run the gamut from the all-things-Kenosha Home & Health Expo, to a showcase of hard work and resilience at KUSD Orchestra Fest to “the least athletic” sporting event ever. That’s quite a lineup!
KENOSHA CALENDAR: YESTERDAY’S CHILDREN TO PLAY THE HITS FRIDAY AT FUSION
A variety of events scheduled for this Friday and Saturday are sure to keep you entertained. On the agenda, we have performances from some very talented young musicians in our city!

We've moved away from a scripted format and are trying out a long-form, ad libbed style.
The Broken Heart Art Show will showcase 20 local artists' interpretations of what love means to them, expressed through paintings, photography and mixed media. Blue House Books' popular "Blind Date with Book" is back beginning Friday during normal business times at the shop. The Civil War Museum presents Lincoln and the Presidential Campaign of 1860, 1 p.m. Saturday. The UW-Parkside men's and women's basketball teams are on the road this weekend, but they'll be back next week with a pair of doubleheaders at the De Simone Arena.
This weekend's Kenosha events will inspire Kenoshans to bundle up and brave the cold to see what's happening. An ethereal speakeasy is the backdrop for this year's K-Town Burlesque Show. Take a trip back to the '80s Saturday night as rock/pop band Fast Times visits The Brat Stop. Band-o-Rama is set for this weekend, with all KUSD band students invited to participate in the annual all-city concert. Justin Mendez, author of "Darryl the Dinosaur," will read from his book at Blue House Books during Sunday Storytime.
Downtown Kenosha is alive with the sound of live music this weekend. Four bands are lined up on Friday at Fusion, headlined by Dead, Dead Swans. Parkside men's basketball team hosts Wayne State at 7:30 p.m this evening. Both games will be played at the newly renovated De Simone Arena.
The Martin Luther King Day holiday gives local residents an extra day to take advantage of a wide variety of entertainment and educational events. Local hoops fans can head over to the De Simone Arena as the Parkside men's basketball team hosts Purdue Northwest. Free Fishing Weekend takes place at any lake in the state on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
"Beauty and the Beast" is postponed until further notice. Lemon Street Gallery's "Oh, So Appealing!". Juried Show has its opening reception on Saturday. Check out the live music this weekend at Union Park Tavern and Rustic Road Brewing.

The annual Tom & Jerry Christmas Eve Fundraiser benefits the Kenosha Area Vietnam Veterans Honor Guard. Gnome Hunt at Pringle Nature Center offers gnomes for a chance to win a free membership. Christmas Lane residents Steve and Debbie Hartfield have collected donations outside their house for 30 years.
