Businesses all over the world have been chasing the holy grail of increased sales figures. It's such a lucrative job that many people have built entire businesses out of advising businesses on how to increase their sales numbers. Despite all of this assistance, many businesses rarely see their sales value skyrocket. Businesses may go through several iterations, tweaking everything from their marketing strategy to their website, with varying degrees of success.
In this week's episode, we talk to Sam Kariuki, Author of the book 'The Guy Who Fired His Boss: Discover The Secret Entrepreneur In You' and Sales Trainer as he takes us through what it takes to be a top salesperson, his journey in sales, the misconceptions businesses have about sales and how his business course on Zydii can help your business overcome these challenges.
Sam is also a specialist in sales and sales management where he has consulted and trained for several large and mid-sized organizations in various industries across East Africa.

If you own a business, you probably spend a lot of time researching the most current social media marketing strategies. With good reason.
There are now 4.2 billion active social media users, nearly double the number just five years ago. These individuals spend an average of 2 hours and 25 minutes daily on social media.
Those nearly 2.5 hours present a fantastic opportunity for businesses to:
build brand awareness
develop customer relationships
and even make sales directly within social platforms.
In this week's episode, victoria Kimani takes us through how and why social media is an underrated tool for growing sales in your business.

Peer-to-peer learning is one of the most important ways to accelerate employee development. It allows employees to learn in a non-judgmental and informal situation.
In this week's episode, we share audio from a recent webinar, where we show you how to simply convert your internal knowledge into digital training to improve team performance and practices.
More than perhaps any other role we play as adults, parenting causes us to second guess ourselves. We question our competence, our worth, our decisions, and even our sanity! What you have believed about Discipline will determine whether or not you will remain in the same cycles of yelling, nagging, repeating, reminding and bam! back to yelling
In this week's episode, we are joined by acclaimed mom, psychotherapist and parenting coach Dr Carol as she takes us through the key areas every parent or caregiver has to look out for in order to become a more effective parent and disciplinarian. Karibu

Being a digital enterprise, or a company that uses technology to continuously evolve all parts of its business models (what it offers, how it interacts with consumers, and how it works), is what Deloitte defines as "digital transformation." Your company should evolve along with technology.
At this stage, it is less about organizations wanting to transition and more about deciding how to transform. In this week's episode, we are joined by Edgar Andagalu, a Digital Financial Services (DFS) expert with over twelve years of work experience in helping companies embrace this new evolution.

Language Deprivation in Deaf children occurs when there is zero or little regular exposure to sign language from birth and within the formative period of language development when the brain has plasticity (0-5 years). Globally, only 2% of Deaf children receive education in sign language (WFD 2017). This results in a lack of brain stimulation leading to the shrinking of the brain, the ripple effects of this include poor education, health, and livelihoods outcomes
In this week's episode, we were joined by the Lugha Ishara team as they take us through how they're providing digital and non-digital solutions to address language deprivation primarily by enabling access to affordable child-friendly sign language content for the early years of language development and providing an enabling environment for this access.

With the global shift towards remote work and adoption of digital, quite a number of businesses have either explored or already gotten onto Learning Management Systems or Learning Experience Platforms, but the biggest challenge? Converting their internal knowledge and training materials into engaging and relatable digital training… So what can companies/businesses do to leverage internal knowledge and get the necessary training into the hands of learners in this new, primarily digital work environment?
In this week's episode, we share an excerpt from one of the Zydii webinars tackling this question, I hope you enjoy it.
Poor road safety skills are the main cause of accidents leading to injury, death & substantial economic losses in Africa. The annual loss from road traffic crashes is about 3% of global GDP, larger than the national budgets of most African countries. On the continent more lives are lost through road fatalities than terrorism, corona virus or crime. Most road users' risk assessment and skill levels are the main cause of this grave situation.
In this week's episode, Alex Munene, Founder of Advanced Mobility Centre, Talks about how his company is taking steps to tackle these problems through online and offline channels.

We all know how disruptive it is when employees take time off for training. Clients are kept waiting, meetings are rescheduled, and projects are short-staffed. If you want to train your employees without causing such a large amount of disruption, digital training is the way to go. Employees can do digital training from home or on the go, using their own laptops or other devices.
In this week's episode, Bornface Ontomwa talks about Digital learning and its convenience; cost-efficiency and effectiveness as a tool to train employees and help organisations thrive.

When you modify your attitude toward money, you can get access to new opportunities and improve your financial management. Maybe you feel you’re not earning your full potential at work or in your business. Maybe you're stuck in a cycle of debt and overspending with no way out.
Perhaps you simply want to enhance your ability to explain your financial requirements and desires to a partner, family, or group of friends. Regardless, if you're fed up with how you feel about your money habits, altering your mindset is the key to achieving your objectives.
In this week's episode, we explore some of the mental blocks we have towards money in our new MONEY series, hope you'll enjoy it.
”Give a man a fish and feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime.” This old Chinese proverb could not be more true. Hard work sometimes seems to be a dying art form. We often hear “Work smart, not hard” or some similar cliche, as if hard work is some death sentence only bestowed on the “unlucky”.
The truth is, there is great value in hard work. Hard work teaches perseverance, persistence, and determination. It teaches us that hard work pays off. It teaches us to push through when times are tough. Not everything in life is easy. It isn’t good to always have your hand out, waiting on someone to give you something.
In this week's episode, Rhoda explores the importance of WORK, what is it for and how it can be more fulfilling.
Divine feminine and divine masculine can't exist without the other. This means that despite our cultural associations of masculine and feminine with men and women, respectively, we all have both energies within us. They just might not be evenly balanced.
Too much masculinity and we get aggression and domination. Too much feminine, and we get disempowerment and stagnation.
In this week's episode, in honour of celebrating International women's week, Joyce explores the power of tapping and being proud of your feminine energy and the benefits it has both at work and home.
Kenya is undergoing a paradigm shift. Old company models are being demolished by new inventions, and brilliant young start-up entrepreneurs are at the vanguard of this quiet but historic revolution. Teams of talented developers and programmers have sprouted up in innovation centres, incubators, and accelerators across the country to create information and telecom solutions that make use of the country's unique difficulties and potential. At the same time, we've seen a number of spinoffs from Kenya's unique entrepreneurial revolution spread across Africa and beyond, bringing the country international attention.
in this week's episode, we explore the advent of the shift, the different things we're doing well as a country and things we need to do away with as we continue on our journey towards becoming a formidable global player.
The word transaction is used in the field of relationships to describe the action of conducting business, as defined by the Oxford dictionary. When a business transaction occurs, there are pre-determined terms for buying and selling, profit and loss, and a variety of other considerations.
Relationships that are transactional are similar. Marriages may have been eulogized by Romantics as a bond based on love, chemistry, compatibility, and other factors. While transactional relationships may or may not contain these aspects, they all have a business component to them. As in a business transaction, there are expectations, reciprocation, and some handy arrangements.
In today's podcast recorded on valentine's day, some guy's in team Zydii decided to have a short discussion on how modern relationships have become more and more transactional and is there still hope for the hopeless, ride or die, romantics.
Hope you enjoy it.
