A couple of weeks ago, we shared a huge announcement that we’re launching a brokerage called Bolst. Many of you saw that announcement and have been reaching out wanting to know more about Benefit Corporations. So today, we have answers! Let’s talk about what it means to be a B Corp and more specifically, what that means for Bolst and JLG.So first of all, what do we mean when we say “benefit corporation”?It can mean a couple of things. There’s an actual corporate designation as a Benefit Corporation. Just like you can be an LLC or C Corp, you can register your company as a Benefit Corporation. When you do so, you’re registering as a for-profit company that has a listed public benefit. At Bolst, that public benefit is to:Reduce HomelessnessIncrease Affordable HousingIncrease Homeownership in Underserved CommunitiesSo in short, the company is committed to both driving shareholder value AND serving a public benefit. You can also become a certified B Corp, meaning that you passed an official assessment that measures your commitment to things like a more equitable workplace, community and environmental impact, and more. You have to be in business for a year before you can complete the assessment, so it’s something Bolst will be working toward over the next 12 months. We couldn’t be more excited to be aligned with a brokerage that shares our passion for doing good in the community, and we can’t wait for you to see what that means in action. Stay tuned in the months to come to learn more, and as always, contact us to find out how we can help with your real estate needs.
Your Real Estate Agent Is Your Quarterback. They’ll find properties, schedule tours, negotiate on your behalf, connect you with resources, and be there for you as an advisor throughout the process. Today’s market is hard as a buyer, and it’s important to have an agent in your corner who knows what they’re doing. This is by no means a comprehensive list, but here are three essential questions to ask your agent before you commit to working with them:1. How Will You Help Me Find Homes That Meet My Needs?2. How Are You Helping Your Clients Compete In This Market?3. Do You Work Alone Or Do You Have A Team?Need to find an agent?Head to our Meet The Team page to learn about our agents and find the right fit for your needs.
Today, we have the biggest announcement we’ve ever shared: We’re starting a brokerage! We’re thrilled to introduce you to Bolst. For the last 13 years we’ve been with Keller Williams, and we’re so grateful for their support. They taught us systems and models that helped us grow to the size we are today, and now we’re at a point in our company journey where starting our own brokerage is the right next step as we continue working toward some big goals, both for ourselves and for our community.Check out the video for the whole story! Today’s real estate market is confusing. The market is hot and getting hotter!Prices are about to drop! There’s no better time to sell your home! The housing boom is over! With a new headline or angle every day, how are you supposed to know what to believe? Here’s our quick take on the state of the real estate market. The housing boom isn’t over, but it’s getting better for buyers.Total showings are down. Total showings per house are down. And that means less competition. But it’s all relative! If you compare to five years ago, showings are still higher than they’ve ever been, which means this is still a very competitive market. So what other indicators can we look at?New construction trends can tell you a lot about a market. June new home sales were the lowest they’ve been since the beginning of this boom.At first glance, that makes it sound like things are slowing down, but if you look closer, the sales are low because they haven’t yet completed the homes to sell! There’s such demand for new construction that contracts are being written for 12 to 18 months in the future. That signals a market that isn’t slowing down just yet. However, we are starting to see signs of a return to seasonality in the market. So if you’ve been struggling in this highly competitive market, we may be entering the best time to find a home relative to the rest of the year.Need to find an agent?Fill out the contact form to get connected with us today, or head to our Meet The Team page to learn about our agents and find the right fit for your needs.

We are currently experiencing a seller's market in Atlanta, and it’s proving to be an excellent time to sell your home. On the opposite side, buyers can still take advantage of extremely low interest rates, which can increase their purchasing power. This week on the Landis Look, Justin sits down with our Lead Coordinator, Brett Harris. Brett has been taking all of your calls and knows that a lot of buyer’s needs have changed over the past year. However, due to the lack of inventory, buyers are willing to compromise, and your unique property, which might have been harder to sell, will stand a better chance.Ready to make a move this Spring? It’s important you work with a qualified real estate professional. We’ve been helping our clients stand out from the competition.
