In our last episode of April, and for a couple of weeks, Steven and Adam discuss the news from their shortened week. The guys recorded their episode on Thursday night, so they weren’t able to cover any of the Avengers box office blitz and anything late. With that in mind, they don’t have a main topic or recap of their Watch List. What they have is simply the headlines of the week which covers the postponement of the Galaxy Fold, pricing for the Galaxy S10 5G, another Microsoft issue with their May update, no new Nintendo hardware for E3, and a leak of Avengers: Endgame. Does people’s reactions to things they read, listen, or watch on social media make them less accountable for the perpetuation of misinformation online? At what point do we stop looking at external forces to blame and start taking the blame for the proliferation of conspiracy theories and “fake news”? The topic was chosen before the shooting in New Zealand, but was timely for this episode. It’s not all sad and depressing. Steven and Adam discuss a “Bel-Air” fan trailer about The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air in 2019, Avengers: Endgame trailer released, Deathstroke coming to Titans: Season Two, James Gunn returns to Marvel, Verizon to launch its 5G network, and The Flash solo movie may be on its last leg. The Lazy Geeks closes out February with another great show. They introduce two new segments in the show: Short Takes and Review Takes. Short Takes is news or personal stuff we want to mention but doesn’t really need a debate. Review Takes is our review of some of the shows we are currently watching on television or streaming somewhere. The guys gush over Greg Capullo’s cover for him and Snyder’s last Batman miniseries, Batman: Last Knight on Earth. Adam divulges his plan on getting a Nintendo Switch by early March. They review the latest episodes of The Orville, Star Trek: Discovery, and Doom Patrol. Also, why you should be watching those shows. Netflix has completed its purge of original Marvel content on their service, and longtime Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime is retiring. Oh, and the mess that is the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S10 devices. Not to mention, what the hell is with that Galaxy Fold. Cool concept but a device no one will buy. Adam can’t get enough about Howard the Duck coming to Hulu, while Steven gives the sad truth about Ben Affleck leaving Batman. It is the time of the Switch. The guys breakdown everything from the latest Nintendo Direct. Also, some Star Trek fans think the television franchise has outpaced the film version, while some think Trek needs to be smaller.
