A brief update about our upcoming releases.
Beyond the colony-city of Atrius is a deadly expanse known as the Fringe. This deadly territory, only meters away from the civilized city, threatens the lives of those living inside Atrius’ protective walls. To discover more about this impending threat and study its violent inhabitants, an expedition team is assigned to infiltrate the Southern Fringe by a covert government department. No training could possibly prepare the team for what’s to come. Dr. Kovski, an expert in Fringe studies, has been pulled from his comfy office and and thrown directly into the field. There is no promise of a return, but strides must be taken to ensure that Artius Endures. Before setting off on the adventure to the Fringe, Dr. Kovski is first introduced to the Department of Fringer Relations' protective detail. This new entourage’s duty is to protect Kovski and his findings from the horrors and turmoil within the Fringe, but even they are strangers to what is to come. Meet Kovski's protective detail and their guide. As the team gets to know each other, they make peace with the quickly arriving deployment and that there is no promise of return. Before they can step out into the Fringe they must be equipped to face it. In their final respite, Dr. Kovski and company head to an underground station to set themselves in the guise of Fringers. The team bonds over past stories, but the jokes and frivolity will soon come to an end as gear and weapons are prepped. With the prospect of their expedition on the horizon, the last night of calm rest comes deep under the looming walls of Atrius. The time has come for the security team and their scientist ward to finally step foot into the Fringe – guns raised and eyes keen. Breaking the seal, they step out into a world of dust and scrap. Greeted by drug users, scavengers, and the wrong side of a dirty barrel, the Atrian band acclimate to the Fringe and their mission. Given their circumstances, Dr. Kovski will have to take precaution to keep his wits about him. yet again you guys are hoping around start 100 stories and never drawing them to a close. it's a shame because your obviously talented. you shouldn't have dragged Cummings into something that's going nowhere

I really love this Story, this World. I really hope they do another regular season, when they are finished working on other current projects (Speaking of your other projects... we love all of your other podcasts, as well, by the way). However: I was gravely disappointed when this podcast turned into a "Role Playing" thing. I have never liked those, but really tried to get into it because the story seemed interesting. If they re-recorded it anyway, why couldn't they have just cut out the role playing speak, and told their story? Other people may love that sort of thing, so I wouldn't ask for it to disappear, but maybe just don't mix the two types, in one podcast. Either way, brilliant work and thank you so much for sharing your talents and hard work with us!

Happiness Is

Initially was hesitant about listening to this podcast due to some of the comments & wasn't sure what to expect. But the Critical Research episodes were extremely enthralling. Binged S1 of Critical Research in one evening. Voice acting is good, story draws you in & once you start to understand (you learn as the characters interact and learn about the Fringe) what the mission is about it becomes addicting. Great soundscape. Alternatively, the episodes in between that are not part of the main "Critical Research" story I found a little confusing and less interesting. I ended up just bypassing the inbetween episodes and I'm now half way through Critical Research 2 and loving the continuation of the story. Excellent writing and storytelling because you can visualize the world being described as the team learns about the Fringe. Well done and surprised me and is now another favorite from Fool and Scholar. Requires imagination and patience helps. Really dont understand why people said voice acting wasn't that great and it improves as the story progresses. 5 Stars and Highly Recommended!

I'm about 7 episodes in to the first season, and I'm enjoying the story enough to keep listening, but the acting is... not great. It's not bad, mind you, but it's not great. I'm going to guess that each actors' parts are recorded separately, because there is absolutely *no* realistic interaction in dialogue. The actors read their lines with inflection and emotion, but it still plays out as if they are actors reading from a script. It has potential, but it needs work.

It's been a while since I appreciated Peter Lewis's voice acting. I really like it when there's a hint of comedy to his script and there's not so much "trying to be scared or scary" role for him. Love the show.
