How do you start being involved in STEM, especially with the focus being put on tech nowadays?
How do you break through the constraints of your environment to reach for more?
How do you win 3 fully-funded scholarships for your Ph.D.?
Mary Ayomide Olukorede turned this podcast into a master class while sharing her academic journey and winning fully funded offers for her education. She is challenging the status quo.
Mary grew up in Ibadan but didn't allow her environment to limit her as she has won 3 funded Ph.D. scholarships. She even won a Commonwealth scholarship for her Master's Degree in the UK.
At the time of recording this, it was three funded offers and the fourth one came towards the end of June.
In this podcast, she shared a lot from how her parents supported her to how her integrated science teacher made her fall in love with science.
She also shared a lot of resources on getting scholarships and funding for your Master's and Ph.D.

Hello, Thank you for being here, I value you. I finally did it! I am so excited about this journey and I am optimistic that this project to share inspiring stories of young people would be a success by God's grace.
In this episode, which is my first episode, I had an amazing conversation with Itofa Ivarah. He is a non profit management consultant, executive director at church on the Street a non profit organization focused on tackling food insecurity among low income communities and preaching the gospel through food bank projects across Africa.
He gave us important nuggets about not living for less, but blossoming into the best version of yourself.
He encountered challenges running church on the street and as the young executive director he was able to start his own consulting firm to help other social entrepreneurs in the nonprofit sector.
The value of mentorship cannot be overemphasized, his life took a U-turn when he encountered his mentor Fela Durotoye in 2020.
