Description
Three high school classmates who graduated in 1986 reunite for a podcast that is one part reminiscing, two parts truth-seeking and a splash of serendipity. Join Farah Pandith, Diana Donovan and Meredith Zinner for The Link.
As the Class of ‘86 nears middle age, we’ve witnessed a great deal of change in our lives—and experienced hardships and joys. We are old enough to have some perspective and perhaps even some insights.
We’re interviewing our classmates—some of the most interesting people we know—to collectively reflect on where we started, how far we’ve come, and where we might be headed.

Diana, Farah and Meredith catch up with Dr. Kamala Parel-Nuttall. Kamala is a writer, educator, and filmmaker. Her latest film "Gandhi's Threads" was inspired by a paper written by her father, a professor. The film traces the evolution of Gandhi's clothing choices and Gandhi's impact on the fashion sustainability movement.
Pairing a doctorate in Religious Studies (University of Cambridge, UK) with hands on training in documentary filmmaking (Maine Media College, USA), Kamala has created visually compelling ways to bring those stories to life. She taught at the university level, conducted research, and published articles in her area of expertise for 15 years before focusing her energies solely on documentary film projects. Through her production company Floating Lotus Films, Ltd. Kamala has produced and directed films for nonprofit and for profit organizations, and has written and directed several short documentaries.

THE LINK is a thoughtful look back on a shared experience—memories both cherished and uncomfortable. We talk about all the change we’ve witnessed in our lives and share some of the hardships and some of the joys. Our conversations take unexpected turns: archaeology, religious studies, sustainable ranching, gender identity, just to name a few of the topics we address. (Plus we play clips from The Breakfast Club, Madonna videos and other fun retro stuff.)
Fondly,
Farah Pandith, Diana Donovan and Meredith Zinner
