Liverpool take on Crystal Palace in the first "trophy" of the year. Crystal Palace's continuity from prior years got them the win in PK's. Liverpool looked good at times but it is clear that with new players all over the pitch, it will take some time for them to gel. It has been an eventful summer for the might Reds. Along with the excitement of some great transfers in, we experienced tragedy with the death of Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva. After a summer break for coach and Salm, they are back and beyond excited to talk Liverpool FC!
Anfield was electric as Liverpool blow away Tottenham to secure the Premier League title. There are still 4 games to go but they mean nothing in the end. Arne Slot guided the team to an impressive recored and becomes the 1st Dutch manager to win the Premier League as Virgil becomes the 1st Dutch captain to win the Premier League.
Liverpool won a hard fought match vs their bitter crosstown rivals. The game has some talking points. Has Slot lost faith in Quansah that he started the game in 3-4-3 formation? Was Tarkowski's tackle on Mac Allister a red card? Diogo Jota scored the only goal of the game but it was enough to keep Liverpool 12 points ahead of 2nd place Arsenal who are now battling an injury crisis in he back.
Liverpool had chances to put the tie away early but were hit against the run of play. The intensity of the game was high and went in to extra time. PSG had 2 chances to win the game then and eventually won in PK's. Finally, Salim and Coach discuss how Liverpool can pick themselves up and get ready to compete for the Caraboa Cup final on Sunday.
