This is such an inspiring episode which finds me chatting to the wonderful Jody Goldsworthy who has a powerful powerful story of being rescued from decades of abuse and being brought into the Father’s embrace. And it’s this incredible testimony of God’s goodness and restoration that then led Jody to establish Jonathan’s House Ministries in 2023!   In this episode he shares his immensely painful and debilitated journey of being a victim of severe abuse at the hands of those closest to him. Yet because of God’s great love and mercy, he is radically rescued and restored! He knows firsthand that men who have suffered abuse (which is actually far more common than we imagine) need a place where they can go and receive support to get past the trauma and other side effects of abuse.  He not only shares his story not also his insight and experiences of supporting men experiencing abuse both in the world and in the Church. Jonathan’s House Ministries firmly believes in all men, and that all men deserve to be healed, restored and eventually fulfilled. Through building safe spaces and educating people on the effects of abuse, they believe they can change things for male victims of abuse across the UK. And this is precisely what they are doing! I’m thrilled to be in conversation with my wonderful Pastor Dave Gill who is the senior pastor of River Church in Canning Town, where he has ministered for over 26 years. This is Part 2 of my convo with the lovely Taya Patel who is living in Harpenden and currently working as a full-time missionary in the UK with YWAM Harpenden. Her heart burns to see young people finding their true identities in Christ, and she is equally as passionate about seeing revival in the UK. She has the honour of incorporating her faith into my career, and spends most of her time travelling up and down the country (with @neighboursandnations) sharing the purity and freedom that is found in relationship with the Father, inviting youth and young adults to step into a fully surrendered lifestyle with Jesus.   She feels so stirred for what God is doing in the UK right now. She believes that through the power of the undiluted gospel, we will see Generation Z, youth and young adults, walking in their true identities in Christ and the calling God has placed on their lives.   She was raised in a Christian family, (with a fiery, praying mother), however her external family have roots in Hinduism and New Age practices. Throughout her school years she was in constant struggle with her identity, her friendships and trying to fit her relationship with God into her lifestyle. She was surrounded by an over-sexualised world, filled with comparison, drug culture and the overwhelming desire to fit in and be perfect in the eyes of others around her.  This led to a hard path of addiction, self-hatred, depression and anxiety, only made worse with social media, She truly was in a pit unable to see a way out. But, God. In her second year at university she then truly experienced God’s extravagant love for her, as He reached down and pulled her out of darkness, where she had seen no escape. He showed her a life she had never imagined for herself, one that set her apart and called her into intimacy, vulnerability, purity and biblical womanhood. One that gave her a deep sense of belonging and purpose. This is part 2 of my powerful, sobering and pretty heart-wrenching conversation with Jon Wedger. Jon is a faithful disciple of Christ and former Scotland Yard detective, who campaigns for the protection of children from child abuse and satanic ritual abuse and for the protection of whistleblowers.  His influence and insider information of exposing high level, organised crimes against children has been recognised far and wide. Jon rose to prominence nationally and internationally for publicly exposing the deliberate, systemic and institutionalised cover-up of child prostitution, satanic ritual abuse, and abuse within the child care system that he discovered during his tenure in the police dept investigating child abuse cases. Jon is the only police whistleblower in the UK to blow the whistle on these topics while he was still employed as a police detective and nearly lost everything because of it. Still to this day he is under constant attack and bravely risks his life daily to continue shining a light on the darkness he unveiled as a detective. He is a faithful father, tireless activist, co-author of the book “The Great Reveal” with John Cooper. He is a podcast host and content creator, campaigner for the protection of whistleblowers, and a truly faithful man of God who truly knows what it is to lay down his life for others.  I sincerely pray that as you listen you will be so impacted. His heart’s burning desire is to know and love Jesus, to bring Him glory on the earth, to win souls and to see them discipled into a relationship with Jesus.  Max longs to release the sounds of heaven through his instruments and to see multitudes encounter Jesus’ love and presence. That he would see a people walking in complete obedience and submission to the Holy Spirit every day. And that the Lamb who was slain may receive the reward of His suffering. Stephen James Hart is the loveliest of souls. And I got to have a beautiful chat with him about finding restoration in Christ after experiencing sexual brokenness.
