Description

The Local Bar is a place to sit back, relax, and join the conversation with some great folks who live just down the block. Each week, we bring a positive message from people who have amazing stories to share about themselves and the people around them. Pull up a stool. First drink is on the house.

10 year anniversary.  Yes, this show has been around for 10 years.  This is just a quick celebration of what I've learned and what I've gotten from this show.   Thanks for being here.  It really has meant so much.
This episode is important.  There is something in it that everyone needs to know and be aware of.  Please join my friend Sam and I as we discuss a few subjects that surround everyone of us.
Football time in the south!  How can being a Clemson or Carolina fan absolutely destroy humanity and send our entire planet into a downward spiral that we could never get back from?  Whitney Cummings, Stephen A. Smith, Express VPN, Death Valley Daddy, Patick Davis, Google, and a whole list of others just may save or destroy us.   Give this one a listen.  Our lives may just depend on it.
To the untrained eye, this looks like two big dudes who have it easy sat down on the back of a cruise ship in the middle of the ocean, drank boat drinks, smoked great cigars, and laughed at how easy life is to them.  What it actually is was two guys doing all that but laughing at how blessed they are.  What's the difference between the two pictures?  Listen to find out.
This week, we talk about my old car that I finally put out to pasture.  But we aren't just talking about cars, or coffee, or Fallout Boy.   If you need help with thoughts of suicide, please call or text 988.   This one's for you, Uncle Bob.
Join us as we talk with Bryn of Bryn's Purpose about her mission to help out local pet resuce, Final Victory.  We also discuss "Camp Chad", the greatest gift you can give, and how to not plan on purpose.
Plan didn't work out?  Things did turn out in time for you?  Job didn't come through?  Friend let you down?  Every now and then, we get a perfect example that sometimes our timing doesn't matter because things turn out better in their own time.   This is ones of those stories.
An open confession, a view fom the wilderness, and a plea from the heart.  Good to see you again.
Jamal Stroud, founder of Big Homie Lil Homie Mentoring joins us to talk about his story and how he is impacting the youth in our area.
A show that I've never really wanted to do.  One that is more about your attitude than you resolutions.  Take a few moments and spend some time with us today.  Hopfully it will make your year more successful.   Happy New Year.
Nathan Seagraves, creator of Refuge City Records, joins us to talk about taking steps to creating your own path.  And a reminder from a mom and son about giving thanks.
Join us as we talk with Shelley Magee and Andrew "Ace" Evans as we talk about Cottontown Soul Society's new album "Strong Enough".
No hard hitting election coverage here.  Just a nice reminder that no matter what, life goes on.  But there's one thing you can do to make it better after you vote....
This week, we sit down with a fellow pirate to discuss groups, helping each other out, and what it means to live Rockboat to Rockboat.
After taking a leave of absence from the show, Chad also stepped away from something else that involves you.  What he realized was something profound.  Check it out here.
This week we talk with Bryn of "Bryn's Purpose", a non-profit that is raising money and awarness for the needs of their community, about her latest endevor.  Also, we discuss something you need to check.
No, there was no woman to blame.   Give this one a listen.  It's important.
This week, the stars of Jimmy Buffett's "Escape to Margaritaville" come on to talk about the show, thier backgrounds, and what they enjoy the most about theater.
This week I am joined by Bryant Taylor-Marshall - actor in the upcoming "Escape to Margaritaville" at the Workshop Theater in Columbia, SC as well as part of the improv comedy group "The Mothers."  Fins up.
I don't often share crazy, obscure, rediculous ghost stories with people, but these are crazy, obscure, rediculous times.   While this deals with things that may or may not really be there, the lesson learned from this certainly exists.  Take some time and hear me out.  And then, follow the instructions at the end.   You'll thank me later.  You'll thank yourself immediately.
