David Reaboi is an author and  expert in National security & political warfare matters, and a jazz afficianado, but for the Longevitiy Lifestyle, we talk about fitness. David is an amateur bodybuilder and fitness buff, and I asked him on the podcast because I wanted to talk about his health and fitness transformation.  What it really takes to make dramatic changes in your physique, and learn some of the tricks, supplements, and well, pharmaceutical options that can help improve your health. We have a fun conversation, and I learned a lot… and it was a fun departure to have someone on to talk about their “healthy hobby” of bodybuilding.Support the show by leaving a review at apple itunes, it helps the show a lot, and I truly appreciate it.

Create the Health, Relationships & Life You Want.  Overcome Fear. Go Beyond Suffering. Breakthrough Now. International Bestselling Author Mental-Emotional-Physical Health Expert Practical No BS Self-Love, Life Purpose & Meditation “All suffering — including depression, insecurity, anxiety and physical disease — is a result of us never learning how to love, value and be true to ourselves on a daily basis. Our struggles and negative thinking are caused by us rejecting our true self, making our feelings wrong, and constantly trying to please others in exchange for love, acceptance, attention, approval and security. This daily self-destruction, which is passed down from generation to generation,  breaks our heart, creates toxic stress, weakens our immune system and leads us into unhealthy personal and professional situations. We each can overcome the hurt, anger, fear and guilt within us by learning how to care for our body, heart and mind now. Understanding how to be accepting, honest and kind with ourselves is the most direct path to feeling well, fulfilling our purpose, enjoying our lives and loving fully before we die. It's up to each of us to break the cycle of self-harm and suffering for ourselves and future generations.” https://www.unconditional-selflove.com/
The Never Binge Again Story Glenn Livingston, Ph.D. is a veteran psychologist and was the long time CEO of a multi-million dollar consulting firm which has serviced several Fortune 500 clients in the food industry. You may have seen his (or his company's) previous work, theories, and research in major periodicals. Disillusioned by what traditional psychology had to offer overweight and/or food obsessed individuals, Dr. Livingston spent several decades researching the nature of bingeing and overeating via work with his own patients AND a self-funded research program with more than 40,000 participants. Most important, however, was his own personal journey out of obesity and food prison to a normal, healthy weight and a much more lighthearted relationship with food.

Jim Harshaw shares stories and strategies on how failure is essential to eventually becoming successful. On March 20, 1998, Jim Harshaw ended his sixteenth year of wrestling ended in a locker room with blood on his face and tears in his eyes. He had just lost the match to become an NCAA Division I All American. He had one more season at the University of Virginia. One more chance. And exactly one year later, in front of over 14,000 fans at the NCAA Championships, He did it. He earned a place on the podium as one of just eight wrestlers in the country with the status of Division I All American. Jim followed a blueprint for success to get there. The same blueprint got him invited to the Olympic Training Center and took him overseas to compete on a US National Team. Unfortunately, no one taught him how to apply this blueprint to life outside of athletics. Fast forward 15 years, and He was working below his potential and feeling stuck. But then he started noticing patterns in my life. Patterns of failure and success. He noticed them in business, in personal relationships, in his health and well-being, and in his level of happiness. These patterns reminded Jim of how I’d failed as a wrestler. And how He'd been successful. Jim began to see how those lessons could be replicated throughout my life. When he looked at other former athletes who had been able to achieve success, the same patterns were there. That’s when he knew he'd found a framework for creating a path to elite success in the real world.
Mark Divine left behind the suit and a comfortable, predictable life to pursue his inner vision to become a Navy SEAL officer. He was 26 when he graduated as honor-man (#1 ranked trainee) of his SEAL BUD/s class 171. Mark was fortunate to serve with many great men and women on active duty for nine year and in the reserves for eleven...retiring at the rank of Commander in 2011. After leaving active duty in 1997, Mark started his second business career as an entrepreneur. He co-founded the successful Coronado Brewing Company and launched NavySEALs.com in the year he left the active duty Navy. NavySEALs.com is the leading web site for gear and information about the SEALs. US Tactical was next, gaining contracts with Naval Special Warfare Group ONE for training support, and the Navy Recruiting Command for a nationwide mentoring program for SEAL, SWCC, EOD and Diver candidates. Mark's business career was interrupted by a stint as an Adjunct Professor of Leadership at the University of San Diego, where he was pursuing his Doctorate in Leadership, then by a one year recall to active duty in 2004. The recall took him to Baghdad with SEAL Team One to conduct a special project for Naval Special Warfare Command surrounding the role of the USMC in Special Operations. In 2007 he launched his CrossFit affiliate and the now internationally known SEALFIT program to provide transformational personal and team training experiences. The training utilizes an integrated warrior development model he developed, called Unbeatable Mind, which draws from his 20 years as a SEAL and business leader, 25 years as a martial artist and 15 years as yoga practitioner. SEALFIT and Unbeatable Mind are uniquely effective at elevating clients to a higher level of operating, thinking and leading - encompassing the full spectrum of human experience - Body, Mind and Spirit in Self, Team and Organization.
