We're doing something special for our 25th episode! Jack and I have always liked ranking movies, hence the structure of the podcast, and we decided to put it all out there and give our top 25 favorite movies of all time. It was a long and arduous journey, but we made it and we're happy with our lists. If you ask us next week, the list might change, but at some point we just need to make some decisions. We had a blast and we hope you enjoy. Music credit: Happy and Fun Kids Jazz by Alex Productions- (Free Music Archive), (cc by-nd)

In this episode, the three talk about his impact on their film appreciation and do lists on director flexes, acting performances, and and we rank PTA's filmography. We had a blast, hope you enjoy. In this episode, we are taking stock of the year so far. We do our first Oscar race check in, we cover some of the movies that are getting buzz from various film festivals and put our finger on the pulse that is the movie year of 2025, at least to this point. The bulk of the episode is us discussing our favorite five movies of 2025 to this point. We HIGHLY expect our end of the year list to look very differently as there are a TON of movies yet to come out. But this is our near halfway point check in. We had a lot of fun, got into some arguments and got a little serious at times too. Enjoy. Music credit: Happy and Fun Kids Jazz by Alex Productions- (Free Music Archive), (cc by-nd)
Well, we've finally come to this. We mention Titanic, quite accidentally, in a number of our episodes to this point. So we decided, for good and all, to dedicate an entire episode to James Cameron's epic Oscar winner, Titanic. Josh and Jack are joined by Jack's fiance, Alex Ball this week. We have a lot of fun, a lot of laughs and plenty of lists to break down this classic. Enjoy. Music credit: Happy and Fun Kids Jazz by Alex Productions- (Free Music Archive), (cc by-nd)
Welcome to The Longlist. We're trying something new with this episode. Rather than break down a topic with a variety of lists throughout the episode, brothers Josh and Jack are discussing five underrated movies each, but discussing them in greater detail. Whether or not these movies are underrated is up to you. From goofy comedies, to spy thrillers, to science fiction and good old fashion revenge stories. We cover a wide range of movies and we hope you enjoy. Music credit: Happy and Fun Kids Jazz by Alex Productions- (Free Music Archive), (cc by-nd)
On this episode of The Longlist, brother's Josh and Jack are joined by Josh's wife, Rebecca to discuss one of our favorite classy dudes traversing the world of film these days, Wes Anderson. A true auteur in every sense of the word, his films have a unique look, sound and feel. We wanted to do his work justice and eventually recorded two pods worth of audio, loaded with lots of lists, lots of laughs, and more than a few disagreements. We had a lot of fun recording and we hope you have a lot of fun listening. This is Part 2 of our Wes Anderson discussion. On this episode of The Longlist we are discussing history on films, or more accurately historic films. Josh and Jack were joined by their good friend, Kyle Jackson, who recently became a doctor in history, and we all had a blast. Kyle gave some welcome insight on the actual history discussed, and we covered as many historical eras as we reasonably could. Lots of laughs, lots of lists, lots of great info, particularly from Kyle, and we hope you have as much fun as we did. This was an unplanned two part episode because it got to be a little too long. This is Part 2, so if you have the ability, we recommend you listen to part 1 first. Either way, enjoy! Music credit: Happy and Fun Kids Jazz by Alex Productions- (Free Music Archive), (cc by-nd)

Josh and Jack are again joined by their good friend, Adam Murray, for a fun, free form episode. They had a bunch of random lists that they'd been floating around that they didn't feel warranted an entire episode. This one is a little lighter, a little looser but still so much fun. Hope you enjoy. Music credit: Happy and Fun Kids Jazz by Alex Productions- (Free Music Archive), (cc by-nd)
Our first guest!!! Josh and Jack are joined by their good friend Adam Murray to break down one of their collectively favorite movies, one of the most beloved movies of all time, Jurassic Park. Last week brothers Josh and Jack broke down one of the greatest American films of all time. Arguably its closest competitor for that title is its sequel, which is crazy unto itself. The Godfather Part 2 is also considered one of the greatest movies ever made. In this episode, we break down the incredible acting performances, talk about the distinct look and feel, analyze the parallels between the two films and rank all sorts of categories ranging from our favorite scenes to the characters we would LEAST like to get a beer with. Have fun! We know we sure did. Music credit: Happy and Fun Kids Jazz by Alex Productions- (Free Music Archive), (cc by-nd)

Who doesn't love Pixar? Over the years, Pixar has displayed a consistent level of excellence on nearly every level of filmmaking. The studio is known for being at the forefront of digital computer animation, and rightly so, but what truly makes their movies great is the level of character development and writing they display time and time again. In this episode, Brothers Josh and Jack rank funny Pixar moments, tear jerking Pixar moments, side characters and music. And of course we give our ranking for our favorite films released by this storied studio. We stan with Pixar. Leonardo DiCaprio is one of the biggest and most interesting movie stars in the world right now. Some might consider him the last great movie star as we move into a world with much better television and social media taking a much larger slice of the public attention pie. But Leo is still out here making premium movies for us to enjoy and dissect. In this episode we talk about his upcoming films, we go over his filmography, rank his performances, rank his co-stars and even talk about which of his characters we'd like to get a beer with. We have a lot of fun and we hope we get 50 more Leo movies throughout the rest of his career. Music credit: Happy and Fun Kids Jazz by Alex Productions- (Free Music Archive), (cc by-nd)
