The Loop

In this special season finale episode, we talk with Abbey over the phone as she self-quarantines, give you a brief update on the crazy world around us, and remind you to, as always, stay in the loop. So, we bid you adieu until next semester, or whenever the pandemic allows us to meet again.

Joined by Editor-in-Chief of the Northwest Missourian Rachel Adamson, we share our takes on Llamas in their Sunday best, hand washing songs to prevent disease, sleeping with your eyes open and the not-so-super political Tuesday. You won't want to miss out on this week's news from Feb. 27 to March 4!

Feb. 19-27 featured a lot of "things that shouldn't be a problem but apparently are," but at it also featured a lot of pancakes. Hear all about it in this week's debriefing with Kendrick and Abbey. 

This week Kendrick and Abbey cover the Nevada Democratic Debate, provide a Syrian civil war update, discuss romantic cops in the right place at the right time, and chat about moldy cheeseburgers, which you're really not going to want to miss out on. The Feb. 13-20 news cycle was, as Kendrick put it, "interesting news, as always."

The news for the week of Feb. 5-12 is, overall, pretty "sketchy."  Kendrick and Abbey tell you all about it, including some phish-y stuff happening abroad, some political stuff happening in the U.S., and some "romantic, cheesy type" stuff on this Valentine's Day edition of The Loop.

"Give us a listen, 'cause we're worth it." 'Nough said. Abbey, Kendrick, and special guest Jon Walker make it worth your while, chatting about the most exciting news in politics, sports, and cinema Feb. 4-11. Oh, and also about A BUNCH of shark fins. 

We are back with an update on all you missed Jan. 21-28 and over our month-long sabbatical, finding hope in sad stories across the world and providing you some comedic relief. Nathan English, sports reporter and opinion columnist for the Northwest Missourian, joins us as we talk Oscar Meyer Wieners, Coronavirus, pay NBA legend #24 respects, and so much more.

Things get pretty wild with both panda and turkey news, but Kendrick and Abbey also discuss what's been happening with the impeachment, Jeffrey Epstein, Africa, and, ya know, meth from Nov. 14-21.  To hold you off until our next episode, feel free two check out the movie recommendations we share with you as well. 

In the spirit of Thanksgiving coming up, Kendrick and Abbey talk politics and turkeys alongside Northwest Missourian Campus News Editor Samantha Collison. Oh, baby! Back at it after a one-week hiatus, Kendrick and Abbey talk Syria, a beloved local business closing, ghost texts, babies, and much more that happened Oct. 31-Nov. 7.

This week's Oct. 17-24 news comes with a side of french fries. Join Kendrick and Abbey as they discuss this week's destructive tornadoes, Chicago's teacher strike, a mistake we're owning up to, monstrous sheep, another spook season update, and share some quick tips regarding soda and french fries.

This week, on our first episode of The Loop, Kendrick and Abbey give you the low down on what happened Oct. 10-17. With everything from the Democratic debate to the world's largest pumpkin, this week was pretty interesting.
