Hey you! Welcome back ❤️ In this truly special episode, I sat down with the incredible Cape Town based jazz and 'Black Improvised Music' band Kujenga. We met up at a cute cafe in the heart of Johannesburg to chat about crowd-favourites such as Abaphantsi, the legacy they’re building, and the importance of authenticity and conscientisation in their music. We also get into the meaning behind their song Remembrance, their capsule collection with Artclub and Friends, and then loosen things up with some spicy ice breakers - an opportunity I used to get to know the musicians on a deeper level.A special thanks goes out to the band for making time to see me on a freezing winter afternoon after a hectic gig night in Jozi🥹 I truly appreciate you from the bottom of my heart ❤️If you made it to the “Mystery Question” let me know in the comments and we might just be able to convince the band to come back for another chat and mystery question reveal🥹✨Did somebody say “first ever interview”?🤭I’m beyooond excited to share this project with you!✨ I know you”ll love this!🌹Nompumelelo Lee Ndlovu-------------------------------------LET'S CONNECT!https://www.instagram.com/miss.love.lee?igsh=OWJwaDJxOWJuZGt0&utm_source=qrKujenga:https://www.instagram.com/miss.love.lee?igsh=OWJwaDJxOWJuZGt0&utm_source=qr
In this soul-stirring episode, I explore what it really means to become your future self. If you’ve ever felt stuck between who you are and who you’re meant to be, this one’s for you. We all aspire to be the best versions of ourselves but what are we doing in our daily and current lives to prepare for that life we want? I’d like you to remember that a dream life is built from the inside out and never the other way around. Don’t be afraid to slow down on the journey to becoming. Some days will be better than others and our energy levels won’t always remain constant. We won’t always feel like our best selves but if we’re striving to give the best that we can in every moment, we’re doing better than when we weren’t giving anything at all. Even the sun isn’t felt as intensely every single day, sometimes clouds appear, these are like the uncontrollable circumstances we face IRL. However the clouds do not take anything away from the sun. It still lives in its purpose. Learn to take everything with a grain of salt and keep moving. That’s how you step into your future self. Preparing for the life you want means being fully present, you’re going to have to take an honest look at your life. Look away if it hurts you. You should love who you see when you look in the mirror, and if you cannot love this version, stop looking at the things that don’t bring you a sense of peace and purpose, take attention away from those things, switch up your habits and start living with intention. Love and take care of what you have now. Create the version of you that you’re proud of by being that person now. You’re truly only your best self when you’re loving yourself, and this requires for you to know yourself, your habits, beliefs, and capabilities. So what are you going to fill your days with? The idea that time is running out and you’re behind in life or are you gonna fill it with things you love and trust that you’ll be wise enough to do what’s good for you along the journey of self discovery?Just a little food for thought. I truly believe in you, and I love you, always. When self doubt makes you want to disappear - Take this as your sign to create something! Something bigger, and better! “How many times have we had an open door before us yet stayed behind the bars of our own hesitation? Okay so I may have gotten a little personal here, but I have a feeling you needed to hear this today ❤️Hi my LoveLee! Welcome to today’s episode. Happy New Year! There’s so much to unpack today and I honestly feel so blessed that I can do that with you. This episode is especially dedicated to anyone who may have had a difficult 2024 or even a rough start to 2025. Maybe this year hasn’t been the greatest so far but you know what I love most about people like you and me? We always bounce back, no matter what. In this episode I share a little bit about the kind of experience I have been having in the new year. Spoiler alert 🚨 it hasn’t been great and the festive wasn’t any better either. I also get into the effects that negative emotions have on my capabilities and how I’m actively trying to not let those low moments stop me from pursuing my dreams and practicing gratitude especially when I need it. Sometimes bad/sad things happen and it’s completely out of our control but that shouldn’t make us feel hopeless. If anything, we should pour deeper into ourselves so that when these things do occur, we are still able to stand our ground and not be crushed by the heaviness of these things. May we always remember that negativity and unforeseen circumstances have no authority over us. They are merely experiences, even the extremely painful ones. They do not have the authority to stop us in our tracks. This is the year of recognising emotions but not being overpowered by them. It's the year where we begin to understand that it is our responsibility to give ourselves the best possible life and a chance to not only survive but to truly strive. I am declaring that this is the year you begin to live intentionally. No matter what happens, nothing can stop you from becoming your best self. Nothing can stop the motion of you! Hi My LoveLees! Welcome 🌹
This episode starts off with me reminiscing on a time I got to truly be alone this year. Then I pose a very clear and simple question: “When is the the last time YOU were with YOURSELF”. I ask this because it seems that the older we get, the more distracted we become and thus the further away we are from our own Selves. We always have to be something to someone so much so that being alone almost feels unnatural and too lonely to bare.
But part of growing up is learning how to be alone without feeling lonely. Loneliness consumes the mind but aloneness creates space for the mind to just be and allows you to take note of what the mind has been consuming. In this space we discover our true potential, the things we cannot take with us on the journey of growth, and the truth about who we are when the world isn’t demanding anything from us.
At 23:25 I share some of the wonderful things I have learned from introspecting and spending time alone. My hope is that this inspires you to dedicate some time to doing some introspecting of your own to discover what your internal dialogue sounds like.
I can guarantee you that under all that noise and mind chatter is someone worthy and capable of giving themselves a wonderful life, one worth truly living.
Sincerely,
Miss Love,
N. Lee Ndlovu.

[Reflecting on the contrast between confidence and anxiety in my life.]
Hey you! Long time no see 💕 Welcome welcome welcome! Today’s episode is a little “Get To Know Your Host”. I’ll be touching on why I started the podcast, and creating a creative identity. I’ll also be taking you on a mini life journey where I’ll be introducing myself, talking confidence, my experience with anxiety attacks, and resisting change. Just a little glimpse into the personality behind the voice.
If you ever feel too anxious to express your creativity remember that it wasn’t always like this and it won’t always be like this!
When you see me I hope you are inspired to not be crippled by things that are internal, things that are only perceived by you. Both your good and bad parts make up your identity but try by all means to feed into the things that feel good because you’re able.
All my love,
Your Host

Have you cleaned your house lately? Here's a thought that will both trigger and heal you - If depression disguises itself as a dirty mess. We must disguise introspection as cleaning. We could also just… Start cleaning to get our minds off the many problems we face for a moment. It's possible to find ourselves living with things that weigh us down and clutter up our minds and spaces. It's also possible that the heaviness we feel and blockages we experience are attributed to the fact that we may not be that good at or willing to confront the mess in the first place. But it’s maintenance day babe, time to put our houses back in order. There's no better time than the present to start creating space for the life you deserve."Before you heal, ask yourself if you are willing to give up the things that make you sick". Do not run from confrontation, instead charge at it with full speed because this is the only way you'll be able to move forward. To anybody that's really struggling to get in a better mental state - I want you to remember that you are MORE THAN CAPABLE of overcoming the things that make it harder for you to be in a better space. If it's too overwhelming, start by confronting the smallest piece of the clutter and keep digging deeper until you can free yourself from those feelings. Sending you love and light. ❤️Your host,Miss Love, Lee Ndlovu. 🌹- Here's a little vocab dictionary for all my international listeners and non-Zulu speakers <3Mzansi: South African Self Cav: Self Awareness (The part that sounded like gibberish to you) : “Even you can see that this thing of you wanting to be a dump site isn’t working for you. Hi my LoveLee😘 Have you ever experienced unrequited love? I’ve been thinking a lot about how terrible rejection makes us feel. How, it’s so easy to take that as some sort of sign that something is wrong with us, but I promise, rejection is not personal! “The places in other people's personality where they we tend to deviate from love are not our faults, and if we take on that rejection and claim it as something personal, we do major damage to our self-esteem and image.”On this Love Lee Leap Day I’ve decided to speak on unreciprocated feelings and how even though these things hurt us, they still aren’t excuses for us to turn our backs on love! You haven’t experienced ALL the love you ever will in your ENTIRE life! So give love another leap 😉 but always remember: If you have to force it, let it go, because what’s meant for you will easily flow. I hope this helps you end off Love Month on a LoveLee note 😊 This leap year, let’s learn to leave behind feelings of unrequited love and find real reasons to actually love Love. All my Love, N. Hi my love ❤️ In honour of the LOVEliest day and month of the year, I’ve decided to dedicate an ode to love. What a wonderful sentiment that we get to celebrate love all over the world on this special day. We might be young but it doesn’t have to be such a strange thing to seek out and nurture love among ourselves. May this encourage us to take really good care of one another. This is the love that I have wished for, experienced and imagined. Forget what society says, if you have a special person in your life, make sure you let them know that you love them. Love is such a beautiful thing and this is the kind I hope to always know. May it forever be this way as we grow 🌹. Happy Valentine’s Day With love, Lee ❤️
“Become the person that you say you are. Don’t just preach about being new, act brand new!”
Happy New Month My love! ❤️ I hope the New Year has been treating you well! We’re officially in the second month of the year, the month of Love😍 and what better way to show ourselves love than by speaking positively over our lives?
Practicing positive affirmations can help you give yourself the push start you need to pursue the goals you set for yourself at the beginning of the New Year. Believing in yourself and cultivating a positive mindset is a very important step in the creation of a great self image. Through positive self talk, we can inspire a change within ourselves, which is especially important when trying to break old habits and cycles of laziness, as well as to keep us motivated throughout the year.
In this New Year, we’re changing to SURVIVE, our current and future selves depend on it! Cheers to becoming new in the New Year my Loves ❤️

[Practicing gratitude]For when you feel worried, upset, or anxious about your current position in life. In the pursuit of inner peace, I learned to practice gratitude. This is a gentle reminder that the present provides us with all that we need. Gratitude grounds and helps us appreciate the moment, giving us the strength to keep striving for a better tomorrow. There’s always something to be grateful for in the space where you currently exist, you just have to look around. Always practice gratitude and peace will come to you. In this episode I share a few things I am grateful for in my life:
Today is all about SELF LOVE! Hey my Love, I know I've been gone for a bit, but I'm back with a little encouragement to love yourself a little extra, especially on the days that don’t feel like a LoveLee experience. You are a truly great human, loved and made in the image of the most Divine. Every part of you is inherently beautiful and worthy of love. I hope this reminds you to love your life because this is how you get to discover the true love of your life ❤️.All my Love, Lee.
This is for the days when you feel burnt out and like you might not have it all together. Especially on the days when you find yourself doubting your own skills and accomplishments. We always want to appear to have it all together, and when we don't, which is more often than we like to admit, we tend to doubt our own capabilities and feel like imposters in our own lives. Acknowledging that we are a work in progress, can help us come back home to ourselves in all the ways that matter. It's up to us to create and claim our identities so that external validation will never be the thing by which we live and die. Let's always give ourselves the opportunity to fully flourish. Remember to be present, do what comes naturally to you, and show yourself some kindness. You’re not a fraud, and you’re gonna be okay, so just choose to be completely and unapologetically you. All my Love,Lee.
Hey Love! In this episode, I thought I’d share some encouraging words about overcoming the fear of starting something new. The beginning of anything can be daunting but we also know that nothing grows in the comfort zone and you only create the life you want by actively pursuing it. If you’re struggling with starting a new chapter/journey in your life I hope these words of love lead you to the starting line. Be brave, be bold, be absolutely audacious my love! I’m rooting for you, you got this. All my love, Lee.
Welcome to my heart and soul! Whatever your vibe is today, you can always come here to feel Lovely. Over here? We're choosing peace. I’m starting this project as a way of confronting, recognising and celebrating life’s experiences from growing pains, to everything in between. Prince once spoke of a war where the battlefield was within the mind and the cost/prize was the soul. How you fight the war determines your experience, so let’s try to do it with a little more love. I hope when you hear this, you’re reminded of the love within, sincere experiences, and Love Lee vibes only!
