Description

I’ve been working in the radio biz over the last decade at the ABC, Triple M, Mix 102.3 and FIVEaa. So its time to do my own thing and as music and talk IS my thing, I’m bringing the stories behind the songs that make you move and the stories surrounding the song and the musician that will ”move you” in a brand new Podcast. Join this weekly podcast as I breathe a little life into some of the favourite interviews people have asked me about with the artists we all know and love, plus I’ll bring you something new when I check in and see what they’re up to now. A happy little mish mash of great stories, good times and groovy music.

Alan fletcher is one of Australia’s most beloved and instantly recognizable actors, probably most known for his incredible run since 1994, as Dr Karl on “Neighbours”.  A sad time to say goodbye to the show, cast & crew after such an amazing time on our TV screens, even if its jut me who I having a very hard time letting go! Alan is a sheer delight and has had a substantial music career running alongside his acting career as well.  We talk tours, saying goodbye to Dr Karl and his branch new debut album “Dispatches”.
A great chat that featured on Saturday Breakfast with Julie Reynolds, networked around Australia via the Community Radio Network. Steve, who you may know as the energetic guitarist from 80's sensation Wa Wa Nee, is a multi-faceted individual and talent.  Hear the common link to our host Julie and the new album cover for "Deja Vu" and the link between Steve and the Beatles. Its a mini episode, so if you have just under 10mins, pop in the earbuds and give this one a listen, with some great Wa Wa Nee tracks and new Steve Williams music included!
Photographer Eric Algra's new book "Rock n Roll City" is the who's who of music that rocked the whole of Australia 1978 to 1983. And it is amazing!

It is such a joy and an honour to think I have had the chance to chat with Brian Cadd. What can you say except the man is one of the best and an absolute delight. Here's a catch up from not so long ago, played on Saturday Breakfast with Julie Reynolds, around Australia via the Community Radio Network.
You know I have a national brekkie show yeah? Check Podcast - Saturday Breakfast with Julie Reynolds, the Best Bits for more. We were joined by Dino Jag, singer/songwriter, who had an absolute cracker of a year in 2020 with the success of the "iso dance" favourite, "Can't Keep Still", backing it up with a great little track for Chrissy, "Christmas Day" so of course it got a run on the show on Christmas Day! Dino joined us for a chat and told us about his brand new track "When The Day Comes", which comes with a stamp of approval no doubt from one of the world's most recognized song writers...have a listen to see what I mean
Suzi Quatro is the Queen. That's all that you need to say about this effervescent pocket-rocket powerhouse. When you're that little kid who saved all her pocket money to buy her first album "Can the Can", when you were a contestant on RocKwiz and you sang Devil Gate Drive at Clipsal 500 in front of 10,000 people (me, I did that!) then you can guess how thrilled I was to speak with Suzi, so she can catch you up on lockdown, new album (The Devil In Me) and single (Do Ya Dance). She's a great chat, a true icon and is the one and only Suzi Quatro....a 1 a 2 a 1,2,3! Come Alive!
Cosentino is recognised across the globe as Australia’s most successful magician….tv shows, live shows, packed houses and will scare the pants off you with some of his death defying escapes…..he joins us on the show to talk magic, illusion and how he got into it before kicking off his career in the 2011 series of Australia’s Got Talent…. You can check out his latest tour “Deception” at consentino.com.au, heading out on the road this June to August '21 We caught up online recently and I can guarantee you'll love Cosentino's passion for life and magic and you’re sure to enjoy this chat with the witty, charming and very engaging COSENTINO! In just a moment on the MOVE ME Podcast.
KICKING OFF SERIES 2 : Damien Leith is the affable Irish lad who Australia has adopted as their very own along with multi Golden Guitar Winner, all-round great guy Darren Coggan with a very 2021 way to chat, via Zoom, in the car to get internet connection for both Julie and Damien. That's the new way! They share a laugh and talk about almost everyone's favourites, The Beatles. AND there's an album supporting the tour, which kicks off in Adelaide Friday 23rd of April at the Norwood Concert Hall, then on the 24th up to the Barossa Arts Centre in Tanunda. Great fun chat, with a couple of legends "The Two Of Us - The songs of Lennon & McCartney" - from Zoom straight to Podcast PRODUCED BY : AUDIOLemonade
Its another rewind, this time from a few years back chatting with the ultra-exuberant songwriter & co-founder of Aussie rock favourites Boom. Crash. Opera! If you didn't say this in your head like the beginning of Onion Skin, well.....now you did!
In this episode you'll hear from 80's iconic band Wa Wa Nee's guitarist Steve Williams, He’s collaborating with a whole heap of singers and some new music is already released and available wherever you stream or get your music from. Here's a strong tip, if you love something with a bit of soul, a touch of 80's and a nod to Bowie you will LOVE the latest tune "When I See You Dancing". We chat about the early days riding high with chart success both here and overseas, what’s happening now and who’s lining up to sing on the tracks and beyond Enjoy this fun chat with Steve in just a moment. So as a South Australian, last week was weird! Lockdowns, cancelled gigs, re-booked etc, so rather than talk about something that might not happen in this episode we go back to a really funny and entertaining chat a few years back with national treasure, Daryl Braithwaite. You'll hear about past gigs, other Aussie legends and hear what drew Daryl to bandlife in the first place Playful and always the entertainer & a good sport, this one will put a smile on face. Definitely not precious...you'll find out what that means towards the end! Thank for listening xx Hosted, Produced and edited by Julie Reynolds at AUDIOLemonade.com (need a producer, editor, coach or some direction? check the website for details on how they can help you)
ITS A MINI-SODE! REVISED - ACOUSTIC VIBES WILL BE RESCHEDULED FROM DEC 2020 TO 2021 - DATES UPDATED SHORTLY. From time to time I’ll catch up with someone to find out all about a music festival or special event that’s happening, tell you all about it and also have a bit of a chinwag whilst we’re at it. This episode I caught up with Brian Mannix from the Uncanny X-Men. Finally (cross fingers) they’re letting some Victorians out and they’re heading to beautiful Victor Harbor in SA for the Acoustic Vibes music festival. The date has been rescheduled. You know, COVID, so I'll let you know when its been announced! On the bill is Russell Morris, Dave Gleeson, Jack Jones and Brian along with Tim Henwood From The Androids…local superstars Zkye & Dammo complete the list. This will be a ripper show! A real live music festival! Written, hosted & produced by Julie Reynolds at AUDIOLemonade
In this episode I caught up with one of Australia’s most iconic front men, Iva Davies, from Icehouse. You’ll hear about which album’s anniversary it is….what brand spanking new album has just been released and why you should jump in and get yourself a copy….I’ll tell you now, Icehouse plays Flowers…sounds interesting doesn’t it, hear more in a moment…… and most people have heard Iva was a very highly regarded oboe player….but it was not his first instrument of choice…you’ll find out what unusual instrument choice had him debut on a brand new tv station as a wee small lad. Plus you’ll find out more about the days of Flowers into Icehouse, where it all began. Written, hosted and produced by Julie Reynolds at AUDIOLemonade.com
This episode its some NEW MUSIC! When I say the name Andrew Farriss, like me, I bet your mind instantly goes to INXS, how could it not! Andrew along with Michael Hutchence were the band’s main songwriters. And INXS is the soundtrack to many of our growing up years, mine included. I can hear the first note, played by the first violin in Never Tear us apart and instantly be transported somewhere, usually with tears. Man that’s a good song. And that’s how great a songwriter Andrew Farriss is. Whether its with INXS or collaborating with other artists or now as a solo country artist. Late last year Andrew released two single, "Come Midnight" and "Good Momma Bad". They were supposed to be part of a bigger project, but ….you know….COVID… That’s not the end of the solo trek through country music though, Andrew has just released an EP "Love Makes The World" with the lead single off it "All The Stars Are Mine" available now. Wanna hear more about it? Of course you. In this episode we’ll say hello to Andrew Farriss….stay to the end too….I may have possibly stumbled on a new genre of music for Andrew to try and if he does, well you heard it here first! Written, Hosted and Produced by Julie Reynolds, edited by AUDIOLemonade
You might know Mark Holden from his appearances on Countdown as a 70's heart throb, playing Dr Greg Mason on "The Young Doctors", or the big "touchdown!" on Australian Idol, even the guy who co-wrote Vanessa Amorosi's huge hit "Absolutely Everybody"? His mum could have even been your student counsellor at High School (well, she was mine). Whichever Mark Holden you think you know, you will probably get a surprise or two as we take a walk through the Holden family history book, from the The Holden Brothers Travelling Circus, established by Mark's great, great-uncle, Adolphus Holden, the one legged acrobat, to today - you'll also find out where the carnation idea came from! A little birdie told me Mark has something fantastic in the works too, so I"ll keep you posted! Produced by AUDIOLemonade
On this week’s episode of The MOVE ME Podcast it’s another Rewind with…wait for it…..ANDY SCOTT from the SWEET…Yeah I know! Talk about a legend! Couldn’t believe it myself! All those songs, Fox on the Run, Ballroom Blitz, Blockbuster, Love is Like Oxygen, Teenage Rampage, Action and it goes on. So, yeah, pretty chuffed to talk to Andy, the one with the highest voice on the tracks, need I say more….Are you ready Steve, Mick, Andy alright fellas…lets go!
TOP BLOKE ALERT! This episode is another rewind, with Dave Leslie from The Baby Animals. Arguably one of the best guitar slingers in Australia, Dave chats candidly about the early days of the BA’s and he even taps into the name of this podcast! Talking about how music has to “move you”. He’ll explain it better than me, so enjoy this chat with the warm, funny and extremely talented Mr Dave Leslie….Produced by AUDIOLemonade
This episode you’ll hear from another wild man of Aussie rock Dave Gleeson. He’s part of two iconic Aussie bands, The Angels and The Screaming Jets. We focused on The Jets, how they got there, some little known facts, a lot of laughs, why he didn’t need a wardrobe as he had no shirts and what his first love in music is…and no, its not rock! You’ll also hear why he was seen sitting on Michael Hutchence’s lap in Germany…it’s a fun ride, it always is with Gleeso – most recently seen Streaming not Screaming on a Facebook live concert series with mates Crafty and Athol Maxwell-Davis filmed live at the Gov in Adelaide, a rollicking good time…great music and he’s got the stories as you’ll hear in a moment when we say gidday to Dave Gleeson on the Move me Podcast. Produced by AUDIOLemonade.
This episode is another look back to 2018, this time with the amazing Dave Faulkner from the Hoodoo Gurus. I can't remember a good time at a party in the 80's or 90's that didn't include the Gurus on the soundtrack. Listen in and find out what other band Dave was inadvertently part of getting them world wide success and every rock star started out with a day job....what was Dave's? Both questions answered on this episode. Produce by : AUDIOLemonade
Hi and welcome to the MOVE ME PODCAST with me Julie Reynolds…today it’s another Rewind with world renowned Bass player, songwriter, comedian, sometimes actor GUY PRATT. Where do you start with Guy Pratt….he has played with almost everybody. I first saw Guy when he was appearing at the Adelaide Fringe doing his stand-up. Was endearing what he was going for? Probably not, but aside from being extremely funny, from that appearance he was straight on my hit list to chat to. You know when there’s just something about someone? That’s Guy Pratt. I could give you the loooong list of people he’s played with, it might just be easier to do a quick search on your favourite search engine, but here’s just a snippet. He was in Icehouse, around the time when they toured with David Bowie on his Serious Moonlight tour, he’s played with Pink Floyd also David Gilmour and Nick Mason, Bryan Ferry and Roxy Music, Debbie Harry, Madonna and also on Michael Hutchence’s solo album…was Michael Jackson quirky to work with? You'll find out in this episode….say hello to Guy Pratt…. Produced : @audiolemonade @themademepodcast
