All good things must come to an end, and this is the end of the Maroon Mic. Andrew and Colton get together one final time to talk about the Bulldogs, breaking down MSU football for the 2025 season.
It happened. Mississippi State has hired Virginia's Brian O'Connor as its next head baseball coach. We talk about just how impressive that is in a historical context, and give Zac Selmon his flowers for how he's operating this athletic department.
Mississippi State baseball is back in the postseason and lands at a familiar regional destination. We talk their draw in the Tallahassee Regional and matchups with Northeastern and, potentially, FSU.
MSU AD Zac Selmon received a contract extension and pay raise. We talk why he did and why it's justified despite blowback from the fanbase. Softball heads to Lubbock to the postseason. We preview their regional. And baseball closes out the regular season on the cusp of securing a regional berth.
Since firing Chris Lemonis, MSU baseball is 4-0 and picked up an SEC sweep to get back on track towards a regional. We talk the weekend and their postseason path. We discuss two names on opposite ends of the coaching spectrum getting a lot of buzz for MSU baseball, and then we breakdown other recent happenings across Bulldogs sports.
We knew it was inevitable, and it ultimately happened. Mississippi State has fired Chris Lemonis as head baseball coach. We break down the decision and look ahead to possible candidates in Starkville.
Mississippi State plays its spring game on Saturday. We discuss some things to watch for (if you're able to even watch it...). We have some very brief looks at the transfer portal for both football and hoops. Baseball got a massive series win at Alabama. The path to the postseason looks legitimate as they enter a must-win series against Florida.
We're back to talk about all the portal news. MBK had mostly seen understandable departures, but now after the loss of KeShawn Murphy, MSU is in a tough spot. However, they've gotten some nice additions too. WBK looks to be falling apart, and baseball stayed alive for another week.
Solo show for Andrew as he talks through a weekend that was mostly ugly for MSU sports. He starts with the major positive, being WBK getting a tournament win. But then he dives into a frustrating end to the season for MBK. Finally some big picture thoughts on baseball.
This is March. Bulldog men's and women's basketball are back in the NCAA Tournament. We fully breakdown their first round matchups and what they need to make runs in March. Then a little talk about that one sport that's causing wars online, and softball gets their due.
Mississippi State basketball's time in the SEC Tournament ends in the second round. We talk the loss and where the team stands entering Selection Sunday. SEC play begins for baseball as Texas comes to town.
We are finally back. We recap a great Wednesday of Bulldog sports, as women's basketball puts together a ridiculous second half against Missouri in the SEC Tournament and baseball run-rules USM in Starkville. Then we talk about a not-so-great Tuesday, when men's basketball once again failed to keep positive momentum going.
At long last, Mississippi State MBK has a signature win. The Bulldogs ran away from Texas A&M in the second half behind a dominant defensive effort. We give our immediate reaction to a victory that's locked MSU into the Big Dance.
It was a huge weekend of Bulldog sports. MBK gets an important win in Oxford to complete a sweep of the Rebels. We discuss the win, break down their resume, and what's ahead. Baseball returned to the diamond and handled business on Opening Weekend. Plus softball stays hot, and WBK remains frustrating.
We're taking a break from talking hoops because baseball is back! The Diamond Dawgs return to the Dude for opening weekend on Friday. We break down this team for the 2025 season and their expectations.
We're back! We took an unplanned break, but we've returned to talk MBK's big win at UGA and a huge opportunity vs Florida. Plus WBK gets embarrassed by Alabama.
Mississippi State MBK grinded out a win over South Carolina, and while no one should complain about a SEC road win, their play as of late is a bit worrisome. And it's now time to get back to old school ball. We also discuss the MSU athletics master plan and a bad loss for WBK.
Bulldog basketball gets a much-needed win over their rivals. We break down the victory and everything that stood out before looking ahead to a big matchup in Knoxville. We close with WBK, who couldn't match the men in beating Ole Miss.
Mississippi State basketball had an ugly showing at Auburn. We discuss that awful performance and then look ahead to a matchup with Ole Miss that has become critical early in SEC play. But first we talk transfer receivers and a surprising NFL Draft entry.
Mississippi State basketball lost to Kentucky. Again. We talk for quite a while about another frustrating game. We then look ahead to a huge matchup against Auburn.
