CWD has made money for the U.S. I like in Quebec. we recently had 1 case isolated on a farm an my government (crooks) decided instead of opening the deer season (usually a maximum or 1 deer or a second with lottery) in the affected zones with manditory testing, they decided to hire an American group of hunters (nothing against Americans taking the job only against my government)to come in and eradicate our deer population in that hunting zone. then, the government said the deer would all be tested and any clean deer would be donated to homeless shelters. instead the government told the hunters to bring the deer back to the U.S.

one question I had but did not hear it asked is why do your Netflix episodes only run 20 ish minutes?? I'm sure you have enough footage to make 45 minutes to an hour long episode. #needmoremeateater

"Lost in the last century," says the guy that doesn't have a cell phone and has a 'holier than thou' attitude about anything he thinks isn't "pure" enough anymore. Great parts of this podcast, others left me smacking my forehead.

great episode. As someone who spent a big chunk of my career working in emergency department I firmly believe in being well prepared for the worst situation when it comes to first aid. I also think the best thing anyone can do is make sure they get some proper training on how to use any equipment you carry. no point in lugging it around if when the shit hits the fan you have no idea what to do with it.

Really enjoyed this episode of ME. I especially liked the coverage of the CO tags and hunting elk ML in CO. I too, just had returned to MD after 7 days of elk ML in CO. To hear the ME crew was out and about putting up the good fight, not too far away made the trip more memorable Steve, sorry about the lost bull, but your sharing the experience with us was great and it happens to everyone. Hunting is not always killing!

was listening to the podcast today and heard u talk about having equipment on the outside of your pick-up. That's extremely common in Australia and we have been doing it for a very long time it's definitely not a fashion thing. Having things like high lift jacks, shovels, pick axes, fuel canisters, where they are easily accessible when out off roading just makes sense. You dont have to drag anything out to get to them, plus u don't have to mess up the inside of your truck once you have used them and they are covered in mud sand or dust. We also have roof top tents (gets us up away from all the snakes and spiders) and roof top awning that u can sleep under in a swag.

HELLO

Eating meet you have hunted with proper tags may be beneficial to certain ecosystems . HOWEVER,. eating any store bought meet is the worst thing you can do individually as far as destroying the environment and wasting finite resources is concerned. Only eat meat you have caught yourself, & preferably invasive species .

Yvon Chouinard episode was amazing. We need to protect and conserve the open, wild spaces and the wild species that belong on our home planet. Hunting is a very effective way to conserve these species and spaces. Thank you Meateater and Yvon Chouinard for your businesses, efforts, and the way of life you people live.
