"Ryan has never made a sale. And he started a fire trying to make a cheesy pita. And everyone thinks he’s a tease” - Michael Scott This week we look at Ryan Howard’s rapid rise and fall, his on-again off-again relationship with Kelly Kapoor (The Business Bitch), the brief life of WUPHF.com, and all the cheesy pita-induced fires along the way. In our conference room we discuss some moments we wish we could’ve seen, headlined by Ryan’s arrest. And this week’s trivia comes courtesy of a listener who professionally writes trivia questions. 74: The Parking Lot

74: The Parking Lot

2020-07-2354:52

This week we continue our series on the different physical locations at Dunder Mifflin, heading out to the parking lot  for a Goodbye Toby celebration, an employee soccer game, and a charity fun run for rabies awareness. We go through all the different moments that occur just outside the office doors and take a deeper look at how that space acts as a buffer between the office and the outside world. Then we read some fan-submitted favorite office ear worms following last week’s episode before once again concluding with a season one-specific trivia challenge.   Support our show and become a member of Scott's Tots on Patreon! 73: Cafe Disco

73: Cafe Disco

2020-07-1601:13:19

We’ve taken our podcast and turned it into a place to hang out. A place where unattractive and attractive people can get together. To meet. To greet. To see the ones that you love. To love the ones that you see. That’s right—it’s Cafe Disco. We revisit one of our original test recordings and one of our first big disagreements about The Office, focusing on a few specific moments to ask if the show ever jumps the shark. Then we list some of our favorite quotes that we just can’t get out of our heads, and wrap once again with listener-submitted trivia. Support our show and become a member of Scott's Tots on Patreon! 72: The Co-Manager Arc

72: The Co-Manager Arc

2020-07-0801:18:40

It begins with a secret meeting and a cheese cart, it ends with Dwight’s tie in his coffee cup. This week we take a deep dive into the Co-Manager arc, where Jim focuses on the day-to-day, Michael focuses on the big picture, and Dwight focuses on bringing Jim down. We go through the episodes, koi ponds, and fake college tuition that make up this arc before zooming out and talking about what it means for Jim, Michael and the rest of the Scranton staff. Then we take some listener voicemails and close with another classic round of trivia. Support our show and become a member of Scott's Tots on Patreon! 71: Pam and Dwight

71: Pam and Dwight

2020-06-2601:06:50

Pam and Dwight have one of the most unique dynamics in The Office. Their relationship spans the entire show, from fake diseases in ‘Healthcare’ to Dwight’s last talking head in the finale, with alliances, pranks, and Dwight’s concussion in between. We look at how it grows and evolves over the nine seasons, with Dwight turning to Pam for a gentler touch, and Pam turning to Dwight to provide some muscle. Then we answer some listener voicemails, talk about the cringiest non-Michael moments, and finish with the second half of our listener-submitted trivia. 70: Happy Hour

70: Happy Hour

2020-06-1801:02:21

Join us for some after-work drinks while we discuss Happy Hour! This week's show is focused on a fun, unique episode of The Office set in a Sid & Dexter's so the characters can eat, drink, and play Dance Dance Revolution. We get to meet Date Mike (’Nice to meet me'), watch Andy and Erin avoid drama, and see Dwight and Isabel whack some moles. Then we brainstorm some Dunder Mifflin-spired insults, names, and put-downs before flipping it and coming up with some Office-themed compliments and affirmations. For trivia this week it’s all about cold opens, thanks to a fantastic listener who sent us some questions! Support our show and become a member of Scott's Tots on Patreon! 69: Oscar

69: Oscar

2020-06-1101:04:40

Oscar stands out in the Dunder Mifflin ensemble for his intelligence, his pretentiousness, and his kiss with Michael. He really fits that old stereotype of smug, gay Mexican. We look at every time he’s been the voice of reason, spoken in a high-pitched southern accent, or had a secret affair with a state senator. Then we head to the conference room to discuss Space Force and Never Have I Ever, list which Office characters we’d want on a star mug, and wrap with a trivia challenge. 68: The Warehouse

68: The Warehouse

2020-06-0401:03:50

We venture down to the warehouse to a different side of Dunder Mifflin, a place where Darryl runs the show and Michael is absolutely not allowed to use the baler. Throughout the show, the warehouse provides an extension of the workplace that allows the characters to interact with the operations of the paper business and provides a stage for events too big for the conference room. We go through all of the C.R.I.M.E. A.I.D. auctions, Casino Nights, ping pong games, and discuss what that place means to the show. Then we recount our favorite celebrity cameos while Michael is talking to a fake Tina Fey, before closing with yet another fantastic round of listener-submitted trivia. Get in your constructive compliments, because we’re opening up the suggestion box for another mailbag episode! First question—what should we do to prepare for Y2K? Well, obviously that one got stuck in the box, sometimes that happens. We sort characters into Harry Potter houses, brainstorm unique props we’d like to have from the set, apply Dwight’s tipping etiquette to our own lives, take some listener voicemails and feature some call-in trivia. Also, today is Wednesday, but Dwight thinks it’s Tuesday. Support our show and become a member of Scott's Tots on Patreon! 66: Dwight Undercover

66: Dwight Undercover

2020-05-2101:13:53

“Just once, I would like to be a puppet master and have nothing go wrong. Is that too much to ask?” Dwight’s secret and not-so-secret plans drive a lot of the action in The Office, and we ponder at the idea that Dwight is often at his funniest when he’s up to something, like placing listening devices in wooden mallards and hiding in boxes in the warehouse. Then we talk about what Scranton staffers would buy with their stimulus checks and take on another round of listener-submitted trivia. Support our show and become a member of Scott's Tots on Patreon! 65: Dinner Party

65: Dinner Party

2020-05-1401:10:46

‘Dinner Party’ stands out as one of the funniest, most awkward, and most iconic episodes of The Office. We go through all the different courses that make up that meal, from the amuse bouche of the 2007 Writers Guild strike, to the main course of Michael and Jan, to the dessert, which Angela slams against the side of Andy’s Prius. Then we talk about the mini-Office reunion put together John Krasinski and SomeGoodNews before wrapping once again with trivia. You have no idea the physical toll that three vasectomies have on a person. Support our show and become a member of Scott's Tots on Patreon! 64: Michael and Pam

64: Michael and Pam

2020-05-0601:12:061

“This is our receptionist, Pam. Pam! Pam-Pam! Pam Beesly.” With those words and that Flintstones reference Michael kicks off one of the relationships at the heart of The Office. Michael and Pam are at the center of so many cold opens, story lines, and talking heads that their dynamic is one of the most important in the entire show. We go through the inappropriate jokes, the fake firings, and the times when they pick each other up and support each other. Almost the entire episode is dedicated to this one topic, with the exception being a quick, classic round of trivia. If you think she’s cute now, you should have seen her a couple of years ago. 63: Mailbag!

2020-04-2953:33

"Mail call! His name is Oscar, and he’s got some mail, and he better open it, or go to jail—‘cause it’s your taxes.” - Andy Bernard. We take listener questions on everything from Creed searching for the Loch Ness monster, meeting young Michael or young Dwight, Andy possibly being the Scranton Strangler, and more. Then we debut a new segment around deleted scenes, and close with a quick catch up on our quarantined lives. The timing is nothing short of predominant.
62: Casino Night

62: Casino Night

2020-04-2356:16

Leave all your preconceived notions about casinos at the door! Old friends, new lovers, and the disabled, welcome all! We go all-in on Season 2 finale, from Jim finally telling Pam how he feels, to Michael’s two dates, Kevin’s poker prowess, and Creed’s love of stealing. We also take some listener questions about Andy’s love life, and close with another round of listener-submitted trivia. Winner gets a mini-fridge courtesy of Vance Refrigeration.
61: Season Six

61: Season Six

2020-04-1601:09:13

Season 6 of The Office features a lot of change, including Jim and Pam’s Wedding and baby, Sabre’s acquisition of Dunder Mifflin, and Andy tearing his scrotum. We take a deep dive into the arcs, highlights, and major moments from this season and what it means for our favorite employees. And this week’s Conference Room and Trivia Segments both come from listeners! First up we pick which house full of Office characters we’d want to quarantine in, and then we answer some fast and fun trivia questions. We’re going carbon neutral!
60: Mailbag!

60: Mailbag!

2020-04-0938:051

Once again we open up the mailbag to answer some listener questions! We cover a wide range of topics, including Dwight’s effect on women, kids quoting Robert California, an idea for an Office reunion, dating someone from The Office, and much more!
Season 3 starts in Stamford CT, following the newly transferred Jim after he finally shares his feelings for Pam. We look at what the introduction of that branch means to The Office, from new characters to a look at a different manager, all the way through its eventual downsizing and merger with the Scranton branch. Then we head to the Conference Room to brainstorm some Dunder Mifflin-themed vanity license plates (turns out we’re big William Hung fans) and different Office related songs to sing while washing your hands, before wrapping up with our signature trivia challenge.
Take a trip to the bucolic Schrute Farms, an expansive beet farm and B&B just outside of Scranton and the homestead of Dunder Mifflin’s own Dwight K. Schrute. We look at the different episodes that feature Schrute Farms, how it rounds out the wider universe of The Office, and The Farm, the potential pilot for a Dwight-centric spin-off that aired in Season 9. Then we undertake an Office episode bracket challenge and feature a follow-up to our fan-submitted trivia. Table making never seemed so possible!
This week we start with a quick discussion of the Coronavirus and how people turn to The Office in a time of anxiety or stress, including fake cold opens or how certain characters would react. Then we turn to Dunder Mifflin corporate, examining how their employees, directives, and initiatives influence the day-to-day of the Scranton branch. Lastly we head into the Conference Room for some listener messages and finish up with a trivia roundtable.
56: Stanley

56: Stanley

2020-03-1158:54

Middle aged black man with sass. Big butt, bigger heart. Stanley Hudson is a key part of the Dunder Mifflin ensemble and is responsible for some of the funniest moments in the entire show. We look at his presence and role in The Office, going through his relationships (and lovers), signature moments and biggest laughs. Then we talk about Dish paying people to watch The Office(!) and an upcoming Office children’s book before closing with a quick-hitting round of trivia.
