At the age of 5, Lauren was literally thrown into a pool so she would have something to do at her sisters’ swim meets. 17 years later, with a high school state championship and a top 3 finish in the Mid-American Conference, she said goodbye to a successful swimming career. This foundation as a student athlete set the tone for high achievement in the professional world.   After 15 years in HR, Lauren received her professional coaching certification from the Institute of Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC) to feed her passion for supporting others in reaching their full potential. She started her business focused on leadership development and career advancement, but while watching the 2020 Olympic games it all changed.   As she watched Simon Biles remove herself from competition and Katie Ledecky do everything in her power to hide her disappointment following a lackluster race, she knew who she was called to serve. Athletes. It was validated when Michael Phelps told the world, "Competition is overwhelming. We just want someone to listen to us. Someone to support us mentally through the pressure-filled moments."   Lauren specializes in working with high school athletes to master the mental part of the game. Karl began his refereeing qualifications in January 2014 and continued to play for Harlequins while gaining experience officiating. This was made possible by the fact he never made the starting XV. Through the London Society of Referees he made his refereeing debut at the Reigate School 7s in March 2014 and since then has taken charge of a range of matches including schools, club juniors, sevens as well as local and national league clubs. Karl has refereed two A League semi-finals, Exeter v Newcastle in 2016 and Gloucester v Wasps in 2017 and made his debut in the Greene King IPA Championship in the Christmas Eve match between London Irish and Richmond. Three days later he was involved in Big Game 9 where Harlequins played Gloucester in the Aviva Premiership at Twickenham. After 169 appearances for Harlequins scrum-half Dickson announced his retirement in April and joins the Rugby Football Union's Professional Game Match Officials Team (PGMOT). Dickson said: "Over the last two years any time that I have had - a free Saturday or Sunday or even during the week - I would referee as many games as possible to get as much practice as I could. Every game you learn something new and gain increasing match sharpness. "I would always encourage players to plan for when they retire and the fact that I’ve been refereeing for three years already puts me in a position where I can look forward to starting with the team next season and, having refereed in a Championship game this year, hopefully officiate more at that level. I wouldn't have this opportunity unless I started when I did." In an interview to Rugby Players Association, he said refereeing at international level was his "main goal". A goal reached when in October 2020, Karl was appointed as the main referee in a friendly game between France and Wales, in the Stade de France. Tom began research with Scalar Energy during his undergraduate years after developing a deep admiration for the father of Scalar Energy research or knowledge, Nikola Tesla. He was also able to study the work of a man Hieronymus who continued research on Scalar Energy. Hieronymus’ major contributions included unbinding the RNA/ DNA bonds of microbes plaguing the agricultural industry (rendering them harmless). The existence of such energy not found within the electromagnetic spectrum, fascinated Tom. Inspired by these findings, he pursued a course of independent study seeking to better understand and subsequently harness Scalar Energy, through the development of an instrument called “Scalar Light”. 'We believe traditional treatments such as counseling, nutrition, detox, exercise, psychotherapy, and pharmaceuticals have their place in the recovery process. We also know, they’re not always successful for everyone. Matters of the mind and pains of the body and soul are often “intangible”. They often can’t be explained as readily as they are understood by a direct experience.' - Anna-Marie Frank Gift to you! Christine is a serialpreneur and love the rush of business but it took her a while to understand how to manage it all. A healthy business and a flourishing private life didn’t seem possible to her at first.  She is also a mother of a beautiful daughter and of 4 fur babies (3 kitties and 1 cutest ever sausage dog). "So getting everything organised has been a must each time I left for a few days or even a couple of weeks. And in 2019 that was no less than 15 times . . . So I get it when it comes to organising pick ups, food, homework, pet meds, after school activities, dog walks, etc, etc . . . it can be a lot! Even though I had to cut back thanks to “ the rona” I still traveled for my own pleasure whenever I could. And I’ve got to say I have truly nailed the process. By now, I rarely, if ever, check my phone and I know my team has it handled and I get back without piles of stuff to do whipping all traces of relaxation out of me." "Finally I want to share my belief with you that we should do our best to live a life worth inspiring others. Whether that is our children or aspiring business owners: self-prioritisation is key for a balanced business and private life and a strong mental health. So instead of being a slave to our business, let’s powerfully grasp the freedom we have in our businesses and demonstrate that by walking the walk . . . now that is being a role model. So I am inviting you to join me in that."   You can learn more about Chrisitine via her website christinemeansbusiness.com and connect with her on Linkedin, Facebook and Instagram   For more information about James Roberts (the host of the podcast), visit jamesowenroberts.com and connect with him on Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin and Instagram
Let me give you a bit of background so that you can see where Regan's passion and love for rugby and fitness came from. He's been rugby-mad since he was a kid. He played every weekend at any chance he could get, playing for local teams and captaining the Essex U18s. Unfortunately, his biscuit knees halted his playing career with 3 surgeries by the time he was 17. During his rehab, he started learning strongman movements and was able to enter strongman competitions. He even got up to Britain’s Strongest Man u90kg before, you guessed it, getting injured again. Despite these setbacks, his determination and love for training made him want to continue, but this time with a new angle. With everything he had learnt through rugby, strongman and life, he focussed on helping others achieve their goals. That’s when his coaching career started. Within 9 months his diary was filled with personal training, group coaching, fitness classes and S&C sessions. He built a community of like-minded guys all looking to lose weight, feel great, and play better rugby. He then branched into online coaching, where he found he could help more guys from all around the UK (and further) to achieve their physical and performance goals.   You can learn more about Regan via his website regansrugby.com    For more information about James Roberts (the host of the podcast), visit jamesowenroberts.com and connect with him on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
