In this day and age of polarizing, conservative vs. liberal politics, the Moderate Podcast is for those trying to meet in the middle.

In the final part of my three-part series looking into impeachment, I take an in-depth look into the impeachment that never was...because President Nixon resigned before it could happen.  We also talk about Mueller's statement and Trump's tariff on Mexico.
This week, I take a look at the second and, to date, last impeachment of an American president.  But first, I rant a bit on general stupidity.
This week, I begin a three-part series in looking at impeachment (or, in one case, almost impeachment).  The similarities we are seeing in today's political climate are striking to things we have seen in our history.  In part 1, I talk about what led to the impeachment of our Seventeenth President, Andrew Johnson.
I'm back after a few weeks off talking about "poor shaming" and the Mueller Report.  As we found from the Barr summary of the report, people's minds still aren't changing: if you supported Trump, you probably haven't read it and, therefore, your mind hasn't changed.  If you don't support him, you still don't.  The sad part is that the report actually shows how involved Trump was and all the measures he took to try and kill, limit, or interfere with the investigation, which is curious since the report also found that the Trump campaign did not actually work directly with the Russians to sway public opinion (i.e. "hack" the election).

Episode 39 - Quick Takes

This week, I've got a little bit of everything.  We hit some interesting stories, talk a bit about the request for Trump's tax returns, and look at what the right thinks is a big hit but is more likely a major dud.
It looks like the Democrats are really doing their best to re-elected Donald Trump, by having way too many people running and sabotaging their best chance at victory.  Also, not so fast on those Mueller Report conclusions!  All that, this week on the Moderate Podcast!
This week on the show, the theme is nothing has changed.  Charter schools still are allowed to bilk the California taxpayer, and the Mueller Report's release has done nothing to put a close to that "Russia thing".
This week, I take a deep dive into what created the pension hole in California (though it is not as big as some would like you to believe).
Of course we talk about that whole rich people college scandal, as I'm sure many other shows.  Hopefully you find we will come at it from a slightly different angle.  I also touched upon the latest entry into the Democratic primary and the "testicular bill of rights" legislation in Georgia.
This week, I talk about accusations of how disasters are handled based on political leanings, the Democratic nomination field, and the "epidemic" of "whitesplaining".
