Received a report on the Convatec Property (future site of the municipal building) regarding the affordable housing project on the site. We then passed a resolution asking the Planning Board to determine whether the site is an area in need of redevelopment. The developer might find that designation helpful in obtaining tax credits to finance the project.
Held public hearings and passed the following 3 ordinances:
Amended the Zoning Map to include several historic properties as landmark preservations.
Changed the due date for the sewer bills to match reality.
Increase the threshold of the contract bids from $5k to $17.5k to match state law.
Introduced the following 4 ordinances:
Payment methods for delinquent taxes (cash or equivalent).
2020 Salary and Wages (increases by 2% for non-bargaining unit personnel).
Raymond Farm Acquisition (for open space).
Change to the Ordinance regarding performance and maintenance guarantees (to match changes in state law).
Awarded a contract for IT Services to Cornerstone Government Services LLC. They will replace a retiring employee at a much lower cost with more resources.
Went into closed session to discuss the potential acquisition of two properties for open space purposes.
