One might say I’m finally talking about pleasure in detail…Inspired by a podcast clip on sex magic, the category of pleasure came to me and wouldn’t let me go. In this episode, I go back to the beginning of what brought me into the category of pleasure from the Say It With Sex era to The Muse’s Lab evolution. I also share how I define pleasure beyond penetration—a core theme within The Lab—as well as three ways I define the category of pleasure itself. Additionally, I sprinkle in some distinctions and open the door to discuss a key framework in The Lab, The Five Stages of Pleasure. This is a quick trip, but grab a notebook if you’re a notetaker, along with your fave drink and a little snack. It’s been a minute, but I’m back and inspired by a social media trend that had me rehash my days as an Indie Author. The community's outrage pushed me to finally talk about my experience of being unpublished twice by faux friends who, at the time, had small followings. I share my journey to becoming TheAuthorLT aka L.T. Robinson, what I learned in the face of being unpublished, and how I chose to move forward (and possibly republish my work). Be prepared for this adventure with a stress ball, a good cuppa tea, and an open mind.Video Chapters00:00 Welcome to Muse's Lab00:35 Podcast Goes Video02:07 Netflix Trend Setup04:44 Author Origin Story05:24 Early Writing Roots08:50 Fast Forward to 201212:31 Turning Script Into Novel18:08 Publishing Lessons Learned26:19 Royalties Reality Check27:26 Book Two Roadblock30:48 New Imprint New Hope34:07 Unpublished Again38:05 Reclaiming My Name41:49 Closing Thanks and Next Steps______________________________For more information or to collab, email [email protected] Learn more about my work hereSign up for weekly musingsJoin the conversation Instagram | Threads
By now, if you're on social media, you've heard about Megan Thee Stallion’s breakup. Adjacent to that, there's a lot of chatter about parasocial relationships (cause we always ride for Meg) and the risk of putting your relationship on display. In this adventure, I explore why so many of us were invested in Meg’s happiness, the infinite disdain of men playing in women's faces, and a reframe on loving loud and feverishly. Can you embrace your "lover girl era" bravely? Deep dive with me. Welcome back to another adventure at The Muse's Lab Pod. This episode was inspired by two posts, one from Farha Khalidi and Elianne the @tiwtchy.witch who, in their own way, brought up key points about heauxism as a derogatory label and the push for modesty through the privatization of sex. Both posts highlight Queen Jezebel and led me down a path of exploration. In this podcast, you'll find references to the following: "Divesting from Sexual Liberation""The Devil is the Lie to Keep You Unaccountable""Can Women be Misogynistic?""Finding Pleasure" - Soul Chat with Ebony M. Shout out to consistency! In this episode, I take a look at love, romance, and safety from the perspective of an ADHDer, who’s been out of the dating scene for some years. Inspired by ADHD content creator Brittany Elizabeth, I challenged the old adage of love feeling like “butterflies” and called flag on the play. Tying those butterflies to some of my most harmful experiences, I share my journey to how I’m reframing dating, what good feels like in a potential partner, and how certain friendships serve as a great foundation to write a new intimate path.
