Sunday Morning Session. As we had experienced throughout the weekend, the value and power of story was affirmed. This led us to consider significant people and times in our own stories and we were invited to share them with each other in our small groups.

Saturday Evening Session. We delved into how God has called us to live out our identities in the world, to be living out the reflection of His image to the people around us.

Saturday Morning Session. Yemi started us off by speaking on our God-given identity and about the temptations we all experience to live out of false identities.

What is our God-given identity and purpose and what does that mean for the immediate world around us? How can each of us be actively involved in bringing the life giving transformation of Jesus and the Kingdom of God to our friends, family and neighborhoods? Meet Speaker Yemi Mobolade and hear some of his story as he sets up the weekend retreat to adventure into identity.

The passages were John 5, Luke 1:1-4, and Luke 24: 13-35 The discussion questions were: 1) How does our prevailing culture/ society view the Bible? How does the religious culture that you are a part of view the Bible? How is your personal view of the Bible the same or different from these cultural views? 2) If you were totally honest, how strong is your motivation to actually read the Bible? What barriers exist for you in doing this? (internal or external) 3) What was Luke's motivation for writing his biography of Jesus? 4) What questions were Cleopas and his companion talking about? 5)What role did the sacred writings play in helping them to make sense of the world and their role in it? 6) What role did Jesus play in helping them make sense of the world and their role in it?

The passage was taken from Luke 10:25-37 (The Good Samaritan) The discussion questions were: 1) What motivated the good Samaritan to help the victimized man? 2) Where have you seen this God-impulse/initiative in your environment? 3) Who inspires you to be your best? 4) Who has benefited from your influence to increasingly live with joy, compassion, courage and healing? 5) Point to Ponder: Does social media limit the exercise of Good Samaritan initiative and the exercise of honesty, integrity, vulnerability and authenticity? Why or why not? Closing passage: Isaiah 58:9-12

Discussion Questions: 1)Where do your ideas of good and evil come from? 2)What is good? What is evil? 3)Is there one universal morality that applies to everyone? Cool down question: What is one new point of understanding that you picked up from this evening?

Bible Passage: Mark 4:35-41 The discussion questions were mainly reflections on what is described in the text.

Bible Passage: 1 Thessalonians 1:2-10 The discussion Questions were: 1) What is attractive about the kind of people that Paul describes in this passage? 2) What hinders you from living the kind of life that Paul describes of the Thessalonians? 3) In What way have you personally experienced the good news of Christ and the unconditional love of others? is there someone in your life that you can pursue to help you experience these things in deeper measure this year? 4) Who are the friends who will journey with you as you pursue God and rich relationships?

1)Is being happy important to you? Explain 2)Is your happiness related to your beliefs/non-beliefs? How so? 3)Do we make our own happiness? Are you conscious of happiness?

Have you ever experienced failure (moral or non-moral) that was redeemed? What failures do you fear? What do you think is driving those fears? What does it mean that God's "Power is made perfect in weakness"? How does this relate to Jesus' parable (see Luke 15) that we explored? How do we allow God to redeem our failure? What attitudes/actions make space for redemption?

Exploring the disruptive reality of pain and suffering in our world. What does the Bible have to say about where it comes from and how to face it?
