The Nerfherder Council

This past September 19th was National Batman Day here in the U.S., so we thought we'd celebrate by digging into the GOAT of Batman movies - the 1989 Tim Burton masterpiece! From Jack Nicholson's untouchable performance as the Joker to the controversial yet ultimately iconic decision to cast Michael Keaton as Batman, this one has it all! Sit back and join us in the chat as we wax poetic about one of the most fun - and influential - comic book movies ever made (in our opinion, of course!)

We're back, and this is going to shock you, but... we have some strong opinions we need to get off of our chests! We've collected yours too - some we agree with, and some we don't! A recent off-air conversation led us down the path of thinking about Star Wars takes that we will absolutely never back off of (minus the low-hanging fruit of those stupid space whales - we don't want to be THAT obvious!)

The latest Spider-Man film, Brand New Day, is headed towards $2B at the box office! It's got action, laughs, the Punisher, Hulk, and shirtless Tom Holland. What's not to like?! Join us for a spoiler-filled review and share your thoughts as we ponder the question: is this the best MCU Spider-Man film yet??

We're back with another installment of the Harry Potter series! This time we're tackling Book 6 - The Half-Blood Prince! This one tends to get overlooked in the overall canon compared to some of the more popular entries - does it deserve to be, or is it being underrated? Jump on your broomsticks and fly into the comments as we discuss!

From Star Wars to DC to Marvel… the world’s most popular franchises have increasingly leaned into rebooting or falling back on cash cow characters/storylines. With their lack of recent success, it led us to ask… are people finally suffering from nostalgia fatigue? Is this just a bump in the road – or is it something worse? ——— SUPPORT US – Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/c/NHCPodcast – Merch: http://shop.nhcpodcast.com LISTEN – Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-nerfherder-council/id1076137721?mt=2 – YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCONbf-oA0ZXSRGhdNBJLevw/ – Spotify Podcasts: https://open.spotify.com/show/1V6tLzIjQIG51mqEaPXdOt …and on your favorite podcatching apps!
