His influence in the town is still strong, and the paintings he donated to the town, depicting local trades, people and life, can still be seen on the walls of the Town Hall today.

We have just launched The Newbery Arts Prize. In this episode, Jeremy Gower, one of the directors of The Prize, talks about its founder, 'Fra' Henry Newbery, his home town of Bridport, and a brief history of The Prize.
