We got the third hour started with Mr Mikes Kind of Easy Trivia.    It was then time for Three Questions Too Many presented by Park Mazda.   Ryan Rishaug is back for the hockey season. He recapped his summer with the boys and touched on how much he golfed he did. It was then time to talk shop, he gave his thoughts on the McDavid extension and why it’s taking so long. He also shared his thoughts on 97 & 29 starting the season together.   After Shaugger, it was time for Lt. Eric’s weekly rankings of power presented by The Edmonton Garrison Memorial Golf & CC. Today, Lt. Eric ranked the best jingles Dusty could make using AI for sponsored segments we have on the show.   The boys finished off the show with The Wrap from William Huff! 
Jamie McLennan is back! He got hour one started off with his thoughts on all the latest hockey news. He touched on why McDavid hasn’t signed yet, Kaprizov’s record setting contract, 97 & 29 starting the season on the same line and finished with how important it’s going to be for Stuart Skinner to have a strong start this season.   It was then time for the Play Alberta Early Bird Bet of the day.   In the middle of hour two, we then gave some Free Advice for Damon Bunting and The Agency.   Eric Macramalla briefly stopped by to finish off hour two.
We are back with another edition of The Nielson Show! We started the show recapping everyone’s day off yesterday. Dusty then laid out the show.   So much happened in the world of sport yesterday including, Kaprizov singing the biggest contract in NHL history and the MLB post season officially beginning yesterday.   After the break it was time to dive into Preseason, What Preseason presented by GCL Diesel! We continued the discussion of McDavid next contract and now that Kaprizov has signed, what could he possibly be waiting for? We then went down a wormhole discussing GTA and how much it’s going to cost to make this game…   We finished off hour one with MMMMMM That’s Good presented by The Italian Centre Shop to discuss just how good Shohei Ohtani is…

It is Lobster Fest this Friday and Saturday, so Patty gave us all the details about this weekend.   Joaquin Gage was the final guest on today’s show. He shared his thoughts on why preseason sucks… and how much more difficult regular season hockey actually is compared to preseason. And of courses, Gager is our F1 insider, he gave us all the latest on F1 going down the stretch.   The boys finished off the show with The Wrap from William Huff!

Europe defeated the Americans at this year’s Ryder Cup which is certainly good, but were the American fans being too much? And is this good for the game of golf? Dusty then laid out the show.   There was so much to recap over the weekend, so we got right into Morning Announcements for the Rundle Park Short Course to recap all the major headlines from the weekend, starting with the Elks win over the Roughriders.   After the break we went south of the border to discuss some NFL football from week 4. We then previewed tonight’s double header for tonight’s MNF.   We capped off hour one with our good, our bad and our ugly from the weekend presented by The Seven Eighty.

In this segment we honoured the passing of Edmonton Elks owner, Larry Thompson. Lots of bangers to start today’s show.   Some sad news was announced yesterday as the Elks owner for just over a year, Larry Thompson had passed away. The boys gave a conch and shared their memories from Thompson’s time spent with the organization.   We then dove into Morning Announcements presented by Rundle Park Short Course. We recapped last night’s action in the majors and touched on the Thursday nighter right before Trev confessed he uses heating pads to help him sleep at night?!   After the break, we got right into Preseason, What Preseason!? Do you think the Oilers will score more goals this year compared to last? The boys discussed.   To finish hour one, we Cracked Some Packs presented by Wayne’s Sports Cards & Collectables.

Voice of the Riders Dave Thomas was the first guest on today’s show. He stopped by to preview this week’s do or die game for the double e when they face the Riders on Saturday. He also shared his thoughts on the changes made earlier in the week.   It was then time for the Play Alberta Early Bird Bet of the day.   After the break, it was then time for I Got Beef! The boy’s had some very valid beef on today’s program.   Reid Wilkins capped off hour two with an unreal Chet Palmer impression. He shared his thoughts on last night’s game between the Oilers and Kraken, more specifically he highlighted Tomasek and Leppanen’s play. He finished with his take on this week’s huge game between the Elks and Roughriders!

To start off hour one, we quickly dove into Free Advice from Damon Bunting!   Jamie Thomas was the first guest on today’s show. He started off with lots of laughs. We then got right into last night’s game and Toews repping the Jets jersey for the first time last night and how special that was, he then shared how big of a role Toews has to play this season in order for the Jets to succeed. Thomas finished with his thoughts on a Kyle Connor extension, and whether or not he’ll be resigning in Edmonton.   It was then time for the Play Alberta Early Bird Bet of the day.   In the middle of the hour, Matt Scianitti stopped by to discuss all things CFL football. Scianitti shared his thoughts on the changes announced earlier in the week, Rourke’s comments he made on Monday and finished with some international women’s Rugby talk.   Hour two capped off with Eric Macramalla and all of his shenanigans. He as well chimed in on the CFL changes made earlier in the week and shared why he likes them, but did the CFL do enough!?

Dusty then laid out the show.   It was then time for Morning Announcements for Rundle Park Short Course! The Oilers beat the Jets yesterday in preseason action and Ike Howard scored. YTT had some thoughts on this.   After the break it was time for Offseason, What Offseason presented by GCL Diesel! In this segment we touched on the lack of anticipation for this year’s preseason and the Vasily Podkolzin signing.   We finished the hour with MMMMMM That’s Good presented by The Italian Centre Shop to discuss McDavid and Draisaitl both starting the season on the first line.

The theme of today’s show is all CFL, and that continues in hour two with our first guest Dave Naylor. He gave his initial thoughts on the changes announced from yesterday’s conference. Touched on why the league is making the changes now and finished with his thoughts on what Nathan Rourke had to say about the changes…   It was then time for the Play Alberta Early Bird Bet of the day.   In the middle of the hour, CFL commissioner Stewart Johnston joined the show. The boys had plenty of questions and the commish had all the answers.   To finish off hour two, it was time for Weekly Confessions presented by Spectrum Rent All! He touched on the Oilers and Flames split squad action from last night and shared who he thinks was the most noticeable Oiler from last night. He then did the exact same for the Flames and specifically highlighted Zayne Parekh and what the Flames will do with him. He finished with his thoughts on the CFL announcement happening later today, what he would like to see changed and what he hopes stays the same.   The boys finished off the show with The Wrap from William Huff! 
Marshall Ferguson was our GS Construction Headliner for today’s show and got hour two started off with his thoughts on what the CFL’s major announcements could be later today. He also shared his thoughts on every game that was played in week 16.   It was then time for the Play Alberta Early Bird Bet of the day.   In the middle of hour two, we finally got into some Oilers talk! A lot happened in Oil Country over the weekend, including the Oilers unveiling their third jersey for this upcoming season. What your thoughts, is it bad, is it good!? This discussion was presented by The Italian Centre Shop!   To finish off hour two, Mike Tanier from Too Deep Zone stopped by to recap everything that transpired from the NFL in week 3 from the weekend. And he finished by teeing up tonights Monday nighter.
