Every week Dr. Brian educates listeners about a variety of health conditions and identifies those that are considered 'cap', a common Gen-Z phrase in the TikTok community to identify something as not true.

Dr. Brian Boxer Wachler is a board-certified eye surgeon and vision correction specialist at the Boxer Wachler Vision Institute in Beverly Hills, California, where he evaluates and treats Keratoconus patients from all over the world and performs his innovative vision correction procedures Fortified LASIK, Fortified CK, Visian ICL along with WhiterEyes procedures for discolored whites of the eyes and advanced cataract surgery.

So, the first mechanism is that [Capsaicin] is increasing, very likely, calcium release in the muscles. And so, the more calcium that gets released, the increased contractability and strength you get out of the muscle. Also, it looks like it increases fatty acid oxidation, another source of energy and increases the amount of power out of the muscles.
