Drake identifying as an 'artist, not just a black artist's would be a given for a boy from Toronto. To me he was always that jewish kid from DeGrassi (in a wheelchair) and the reason I think Canada..Toronto is very cool is because of our multiculturalism and lack of a claim on 'what it mean to be Canadian' by any one group. Most black kids here that I grew up with were either born in the Caribbean or had west Indian parents. Our next generation will be the kids of Ethiopian, Eritreans, Somalis, Ghanains etc... That's why I think only a young person would say this is not a cool place. After I traveled and lived in the northern and southern states, I decided right-quick that we are not just a cool place but a place of the future.
I will miss The Nod. I doubt I will be able to access the TV show. But all the best to you both.

another great podcasts from you guys. This guy is wasting time. WHITE PEOPLE ARE NOT IGNORANT ABOUT RACISM, YOU CANNOT WAKE THEM FROM SLEEP, BECAUSE WE ARE SLEEP.
Pretty good episode overall, but I take issue in the fact that neither of the hosts have seen Green Book, yet they have strong opinions about the movie. Having seen a small clip only gives you a glimpse into the story, not the overall picture. That type of thinking is why we have and always will have race issues.
