Welcome back to the Off-Season Express with hosts Craig Erickson and Eric Franklin. Today's podcast consists of a QB Draft that was tweeted out the other day consisting of 8 QB's. We rank them 1-8. We also discuss the Dallas Cowboys QB Room with the addition of Andy Dalton. What does it mean for Dak? Is this a leverage play on part of Jerry Jones? Find out what we think about the whole thing. 5 of the Top 10 picks of the 2017 NFL Draft have been declined their fifth year options. We discuss what we think about it at the end of the show. We also talk about the NCAA and Louisville NOA that was sent out earlier this week in the beginning of the show.
This episode was packed and got a little bit heated. First discussed was the impact of Jalen Hurts on the Eagles. Is the pick as bad as people make it seem? Impact of Isaiah Simmons on the Arizona Cardinals. Was it just coach speak with DC Vance Joseph? The Carolina Panthers should deserved to be applauded for their draft plan and what they pulled off in drafting all defense. We discuss some of the teams who won the draft and a couple who lost the draft. Which two franchises are essentially the same and under achieve year in and year out. We also shout out a couple single draft picks who were our favorite. Aaron Rodgers, is he playing victim on this whole situation? We talk about ways that the Green Bay front office has helped out Rodgers, Just because they haven't taken a skill position in the first round his entire tenure they have still helped him out in other ways. Reports of Coach LeFluer fed up with the star QB? Does that explain the Jordan Love pick in the first round? Cam Newton, where does he belong in this league? It's somewhere but where.
Threw together a quick podcast to recap the first round of the NFL Draft. We talked reaches, surprises, and what to look forward to on day 2. Where do we think some of these players fall like Grant Delpit, Jalen Hurts, Jacob Eason, Denzel Mims, and others. What do we think Dallas and New England tries to accomplish on Day 2 and what they need to target.
Quite a few teams have decided to change up their look beginning of the 2020 NFL season. Uniforms and logos have both been updated by multiple teams. We talk about the new changes at the top of the show. Getting to the heavy hitting content for the show. We break down the New England Patriots and Dallas Cowboys from key additions, key departures, and what to look for in the NFL Draft for both teams. At the end of the show we talk about whats coming soon the show with future episodes.
I spoke with Donnie Druin of "Around the 412" podcast and writer for "All Steelers" of Sports Illustrated about the 2020 NFL Draft. We discussed things from sleeper picks to look for on Day 3. We also discussed some fantasy impact for some guys. We also discussed a knock against Joe Burrow that for some odd reason doesn't go against Tua as well. Me, being a Cowboys fan, we discussed some options for Dallas at pick 17 and what should they do. Hope you guys listening to this podcast as much as I enjoyed recorded it.
Welcome to the first episode of "The Off Season Express." For the first episode we talk about the Houston Texans and the off season they have had so far. What do Swe think about the Hopkins trade and new Texans WR core with the addition of Brandin Cooks and Randall Cobb. We debate the Dak contract situation he's in now to the contract of Kirk Cousins. Stat wise they are closer than some would think. So why are some people OK with Dak getting $35m but not Cousins getting $28m per season. See who's side each of us are one. We also discuss some things like Jadevon Clowney and why is he still on the market and some more NFL stories including the potential impact COVID-19 could have on the NFL season and how well will the virtual draft work.
