just because you are afraid doesn't mean you are in danger.
Change the mindset of "I can't" to "I don't know how". One mentality promotes giving up and staying stagnant. while the other promotes the desire to learn, improve, and move forward.

This was amazing Ivan! I'm sharing this!
Question..... what if you’re a personal trainer and you coach people in a gym all day? My professional attire is gym attire. Definitely not a polo or slacks or anything like that. My uniform is the fact that I’m fit and show up to meetings looking like I’m about to train someone.
Yes. And, collecting cards to only enter the person into your email drip campaign (i.e not not a personalized message) is not networking; it is a sales funnel. Networking is about connecting.

BNI is “how” to network. Without the BNI model to use at Chamber of Commerce and Rotary, I would burn so many bridges without even knowing why.
In my (not so humble) opinion, the disconnect between Priscilla’s observation and Dr. Misner’s observation is; Ivan is having a discussion on the BNI podcast about BNI. Priscilla is hosting the BNI podcast from the perspective of a small business owner who happens to be a member of BNI.
I will be doing this this week! thanks for sharing!
what's working for me? Self improvment and support group.
Just wanted to leave some feedback about this podcast episode as it was really hard to understand Tiffanie. I just couldn't understand what she was saying because it was so muffled. could you try to improve the quality of the line in future so it's not muffled. thanks!
The whole time I am listening to this I was thinking that you got this idea from Star Trek and Captain Kirk reprogramming the computer.
I, too, talked too much! And my mother always said that I care too much. She absolutely hated it when I heard that a friend needed assistance, and I would volunteer myself, or - even worse - volunteered her, to help! Today, I coach students on standardized exams, like the SAT and ACT for college admissions, and I recently launched an organization called The ParenTween Connection. The purpose of the organization is to create community and bring education to parents of teens and tweens, with the ultimate goal of supporting teens and tweens more and reducing the number who are inclined to take their own lives. We lose FAR TOO MANY kids to suicide! So I guess what was in the way, my talking and caring, really has become the way for me. I'm connecting people with a goal of saving lives. I can live with that. :-)
Daleen Pretorius South Africa: I learned in hockey to play the game until the last second, regardless of it being tough or a run away winning game. Applying this to BNI and business would mean that we are present during meetings, we truly contribute, we execute the basics and we play by the rules!
