The Ohio Howl

Eli returns to join Ward and Jim for a debrief of The Meadow Project, a recent documentary by Merkel Media wherein Ward joined several other investigators to check out a location of very high strangeness under years-long research in the American South. Not unlike fabled paranormal sites such as Skinwalker Ranch or Cannock Chase, The Meadow is a place of missing time, dancing lights, thermal mirages, and cryptid sightings of extraordinary degree. The discussion digs into liminal spaces, landscape memory, the cult of Saturn, psychedelic expeditions, and why it isn't wise to walk into giant unexplained black cubes.Link to The Meadow Project documentary: https://merkelfilms.com/programs/the-meadow-project The Ohio Howl on Discord: https://discord.gg/nrHzuE5Fq9Dark Holler Merch: https://www.darkhollerstudios.com/Sword & Staff Multiverse on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@SwordStaffMultiverseSword & Staff Multiverse on X: https://x.com/Sword_Staff

Ward and Jim sit down with Eli Novak, who came to Christ after a childhood haunted by demonic entities and unanswered questions. The conversation links modern American hatman folklore with the primeval presence of Odin and his ravens, visitations from the dead, cult-related kidnapping conspiracies, and the reality of earnest skepticism in the face of the preternatural.

Ward and Jim discuss the clear train of evidence that explains how Mesopotamian giants migrated from Canaan, Egypt, and Sumer to Turkey, through Europe and Africa, then into the British Isles and westward across the Atlantic Ocean to the shores of North and South America. Linking mythology, folklore, archaeology, and metallurgy, the conversation considers how the First Nation peoples regard their own fabled history after brushing up with nefarious outsiders for centuries. Whether coming from the stars above or the isles across the sea, there were giants in America, and they were not friendly visitors. Ward interviews Dave and Norm, two retired long-time friends who encountered something between werewolf and grey alien on the southern outskirts of Cleveland, Ohio in the 1960s. Jim and Ward travel to the location for a destination episode, discussing Tolkien, Alistair Crowley, Mormons, Muhammad, demonic permission, sexy desert rituals and the World Wrestling Federation.
