Old Mrs. Moody has a terrible cold, and while she waits to see the doctor, Catbaloo tells her the story of Anderson Kate and the Goody Goat Cart – a beautiful story of giving. Anderson Kate is a little girl who lives on the mountaintop. One day, she and her mother bake a chocolate cake for Grandmother’s birthday. They put the cake in a little cart, pulled by two darling goats, and Anderson takes it down the mountain to the village in the valley where her grandmother lives. On her way there, she hears the troubles of her neighbors and gives them each a piece of the chocolate cake. By the time she reaches her grandmother’s house, the cake is all gone. But wonderful things begin to happen on her way back up the mountain. With each stop she makes, she discovers that one neighbor has exactly what another neighbor needs. And by the time she arrives back home, everyone’s needs have been met. Anderson Kate carried love, hope, and happiness all the way down, and all the way back up the mountainside. I hope this story fills your heart with the very same. /sb veskerna © 2024 all rights reserved
When Charlotte and her small pony, Sonora, enter the horse race at the county fair, no one thinks they can win. Sonora is much smaller than all of the other horses. But when Old Mrs. Moody and Catbaloo overhear Charlotte speaking words of encouragement to her pony - "I love you, pony. You have everything you need to win!" - they sit down with a bag of popcorn to watch the exciting race. Oh, what a thrill when they realize that it was Charlotte's words of encouragement that gave Sonora the hope and the will that she needed to win! What a race; what a race! The things we say can either be encouraging or discouraging. This story provides great examples of how the words we choose to use can make all the difference. Words are powerful! Come and listen to the story and enjoy the sounds and excitement of the county fair! I truly hope you enjoy the listen! As always, it is my pleasure to create these audio dramas for you and your precious littles! /sb veskerna
